Philipp is such a stand up guy. Hopefully if things improve covid wise we can start smuggling parts on the ferry 😉 with the brake kits, if they are invoiced prior to 31st December the duty should not apply however it may still get additional vat charge.
Perhaps one of the best videos I have seen in this channel. I could listen to Phillip talking every day in front of his or his client project cars. He knows the stuff very well! Every word he says is pure gold. And lastly, he likes the grill, kind of like I do 👍

Interesting how clean and tidy his workshop was. A far cry from when I cleaned out the place last year.
Erstaunlich gutes und sicheres Englisch was der gute Philipp da spricht. Bei den meisten deutschen CZcams Persönlichkeiten bekommt man immer Fremdschämen wenn sie "Englisch" stammeln.
Ach wieso Fremdschämen. Klingt alles besser, als das was manch ein Politiker stammelt. Siehe Oettinger.

I absolutely support and agree on Philipp‘s opinion on the current BMW „situation“! No one is saying that BMWs marketing is on point at the moment but there are many companies that have made big and worse mistakes in the passed. BMW(specially the M GmbH) have produced incredible cars up to date. The new M3/M4 grill is indeed fresh and certainly is growing on many people. What a waste it would be if car manufacturers would all produce the same looking vehicles. I support experiments, I support design changes and foremost I am thankful that Car manufacturers are still producing high performance vehicles like these.
I'm glad you visit Philipp again, I missed having him in your vlog!

Misha, just for background. I'm a logistics trade compliance officer for my day job. (1.) Carnet are for temporary use only, 12 month max before the item(s) must be returned to origin. Think tradeshow type of items. (2.) As far as Brexit delays goes, it's two things. (a.) there is additional paperwork to be done and, not everyone is being trained correctly so not everything is being filled out correctly = things are being held up (b.) COVID/staffing is the bigger hurdle that most customs agents as well as brokers are facing.

Gotta love a BMW addict, I've got 6 in my shed, 4 pre 74 2002's, an E30 JPS 2.7ltr, quite unusual & rare,& last but not least an older 840ci in purple, Rj watching in Oz,
E36 325i 1992 Coupe, Z3 Coupe 2.8 1998, E87 130i 2006 and a Z4 2.5i 2006 here. All with the desirable specs a BMW driver would want :)

Philip seems a top bloke a real laugh and good craftsmanship, the manual but he showed every car that they do a manual for they buy the car and strip it. There is a museum in England in Somerset where you can go and see all the cars.

Would probably be cheaper to put the tdi into a mk4 in england and drive it home and do the swap there! Either that or buy an engine off a breaker and get them to send the modded engine instead! Value would be way cheaper! You could also get it shipped from England to North of ireland collect there and bring it across the ferry from Southern Ireland to France. Long way round but the wild Atlantic way road run would be epic content in the summer months!

Unless BMW changes their ways, I think the M2CS is one of the last true drivers oriented BMWs.

It just shows, the people BMW have in their marketing team don't care about the brand. An E28 M5 is Sharknose car from a previous generation. It looks nothing like an E36.

I have always wondered what else was lurking in the building that Philipp is in. I assumed it would mostly be the Rent 4 Ring office but it turns out he was hiding some beautiful old BMW's in there. Is Philipp's main job doing maintenance on the Rent4Ring cars or is he separate from them?
Some guys have a lot of BMWs and some have a collection of Golf IV TDI. - Just a matter of taste!
