• History of WWI Primer ...
fun fact: play at 1/2 the speed and you get drunk, old, more southern me.
Or some pot! ;)
That was hilarious!
I had to try it.. I haven't laughed that hard in weeks! Thx Mae!!!
New C&Rsenal series "1/2 Speed of Mae."
0.5x is the way to go. Thanks Mae 🙏🏾🙏🏾
"How far is it to Paris from here?"
"Why?"
"I need to mark the sights..."
Brings in the Paris gun.
@@kstreet7438 As long as you don´t also bring Nicole Gun. =)P
@@kstreet7438 No doubt the coin!!
Something about these stocked pistols always ticked a certain box for me, they just look lovely to shoot.
That and they're relatively compact when not in use.
Mark Brown if you like this one check out the Luger carbine. She's a beaut right there bud
ATF Boiz are getting concern trolling.
Broom handle Mauser C96👊
Even better is that their Stocks are also their Holsters.
When i was a kid in the early-mid 70's, My unk had one of those, on the stock. with the snail drum. he would take the toggle out, and we would run around the house with it playing SPACE GUN
Obligatory comment for increased engagement metrics for C&Rsenal, because this channel has made 2020 better, one fortnight at a time

Ah yes
The L O N G P I S T O L 08
Ah, winding up the drum. I find it therapeutic. I watch it again and again.
You sick dog you, but you're not the only one!
SO therapeutic...! I am watching it again...
I love the.. ambitious.. qualities of early military sights. It makes me wonder if some desk-bound general thought a war would be won by sitting on a hill 1800 yards away and lobbing thousands of rounds at opponents that were BVR. And yet, there were so many actions taken to be sure that they would not waste a single round. It seems that since ammunition conservation was always a priority, you would IMPEDE soldiers from taking shots well outside of the effective range. But what do I know.. I'm not Maj. Gen Matt Fleming. Just Matt.
The idea of firing a mile plus would be for volley fire and area denial (and hitting large formations, which were still a thing at the start of the 20th century), similar to how machineguns would often be used in WWI and beyond so the concept had some merit to it.
But there was certainly a general expectation that troops would be taking carefully aimed rifle shots at very long ranges as a major part of a European war. And that view was reinforced by perceptions of the Boer War.
The heavy push to reduce ammunition usage was more of a 19th century thing, when ammunition production capacity was much more limited. In the US Civil War, if the entire Union army was firing at a reasonable rate you could breechloaders there simply couldn't be enough cartridges made and shipped to the front. By the twentieth century the ability to mass produce brass cased ammunition along with development of trains and trucks had largely removed that concern. They still don't want to waste ammunition today because it needs to be replaced and soldiers can only carry so much, but it was not nearly the issue it had been earlier.
this segment needs to be renamed "How fast can Mae talk?" Love the work though.
Wonderfull great to see u again Mae 👏🤠
Grand Dad had the Borchardt 🤩
Getting a slight Princess Leia vibe from Mae in ear muffs with the long barreled pistol.
We got a whole extra second of mae today
I always enjoy these MOM videos
Is that a Luger with ALL the extras? Is there an official Luger sun visor or schnapps holder that I don't know about?
It's like buying a Subaru.
It came with little sterling silver corn on the cob holders and an Antler handled butter knife
@@andrewmcgibbon9785 and please don't forget the Ivory tooth Pick conviniantly stored in the left hand side grip
@@erzherzogalbrecht8504 That was only in the original one chambered in .30 Luger. In this one it was on the right.
Just a great video! Thanks Mae! God bless all here.
Set the playback speed to 2 and it sounds just like a commercial on the radio! Well done, looks like a really fun gun to shoot!
Mae is awesome!
Mae is the best.
Christmas comes early this year. Mae the force be with You for eternity.
Mae does look dangerous. 😎
The truth is that Mae is not dangerous. Crozier on the other hand is.
@@Hybris51129 didn't say she was. But she does look the role. 😉
@@lairdcummings9092 A valid point!
Mae looks dangerous? She looks cute as a button, she just happens to be firing a bad ass Luger :)
I love this format. Loads of information and concise. Cheers!
Made my night. Thanks, Ms. Mae.
Fun fact, they were originaly intendet for the German Artillery corps. Artillery men wanted something to defend themselves against potential overruning from the enemy and the LP08 with the stock was more handy than a Carbine.
What a great video. I learned a lot in 1 minute. Thanks Mae!
Perfect timing I just ordered a 1916 PO8 luger.
Must be nice.
But seriously, congrats.
Quality as always. Tyvm
Great piece on a rare pistol! Thank you!
Thanks for the info!
awesome video !
😍I love her she's amazing she's never afraid to shoot a weapon and she's very informative and she gives facts
Hey that's the instrument my great grandpa used during his holiday in france!
A useful short coverage. Plus Mae.
cool factor higher than usual despite the drum
Great Job Mae 🙂☕👍
800 meters? Sounds like a challenge.
Someone get Jerry Miculek on the line!
@@Hybris51129 Beat me to it. Nice.
Or 22 Plinkster.
Where’s 9holereview
Well, even if the gun should be accurate out to 800m, I don't know if I'd trust it to deal all that much damage out there once the bullet looses a lot of velocity. If I had to fight someone at that range, I'd probably want to use a rifle.
Now it's time for mae to go stormtrooper mode and shoot it crazy fast
So awesome!
I enjoyed this video
For a second there, I was looking at the thumbnail and didn't see the stock. So when clicked on it, I was like oh gee she's about to get hit in the face. Very glad to see it's this model of a Luger.
Great looking pistol!
Such a great looking gun
I love Mae !
Good times! I need one.
#1👍👍
P.s I have one of these it's 102and still works 😁
Envy!
Fantastic
love you mae ; )
Very nice
Just watched forgotten weapons on one and this popped up in the suggestions
Enjoyed
Commenting for support!
If I remember correctly these are actually exempt from SBR definition.
Trommel magazine action!
I would love to have one of these
Self-loading pistol with stock = the precursor of the submachine gun, the modern assault rifle and the PDW all in one. That's a lot of history in a small package.
Without stock: Pistol. With stock: "Short barrelled assault rifle weapon of mass destruction" that will alert the ATF to come shoot your dog and drag you to prison over a piece of wood.
@@ReptilianLepton true that was more of a joke. Think about this though; When it comes down to it, it's just a 9mm semi auto, but if it's made after a certain year you go to prison for attaching a piece of wood or polymer. Screw these unconstitutional "laws".
@@DeadBaron AMEN !!!!!!!!
Curio and relic...
Very cool
It also had a minor but important part in "Guns of Navarone" .
I want one!
There's a comment which called for playing this video at .5x speed. I did that & thanks Mate, now I have "2 Minutes of Drunk Mae" 😂
that was a good one
32 awkwardly placed angry beans.
Very nice 👍🙂
My example has a loose rear sight leaf 🥺 it moves under recoil so my first shot is on target and then my second ends up halfway up the burm
Haven’t figured out how to fix this issue yet but it’s still a lovely pistol
ATF: that's not a pistol.... That's something else
Dang that’s a lot of 🔔 and whistles 😮😮
32 rounds in the drum, that's a game changer.
Мэй Красотка!!!
ТАК ДЕРЖАТЬ!!!
The Luger is one of the finest pistols to ever shoot, IMO. If anyone is asking if they should shoot one, yes, most definitely! Any way you can. A friend, at a range, whatever. Do it! Very nice and ergonomic, minus the stock and all. Never shot one with the stock on it, however. I wouldn't say no to that opportunity.
But that was the Luger P08 for the Kriegsmarine: it was designed for a special use and for long range
The Luger adopted by the Kaiserliche Marine was the P04, not the P08 or LP08.
Excellent. I Envy You:)
Favourite
I'd like to try this Luger outfit deer hunting.
Luger ....😍😍😍😍😍 Is the best
Oh man I never thought of how much of a pain reloading that magazine would be. Show what happens if you forget to push that button!
You'd get your hand torn open for one.
You want Mae to get hurt like that?
I wonder what the furthest hit on a target with one of those absurdly optimistically sighted pistol carbines from the early 20th century was.
Si Vis Pacem, Algorithm.
I'm curious about the music that plays in these, the moment the ending logo comes up the pitch drops sharply, making it sound out of tune for a sec, and I'm curious about whether that's intentional or not.

Why not a 90 second clip? You know a "long" Minute of May. ... I see myself out now. 😇
Heard that Fred "Killer"Burke, a participant in the St Valalentines Massacre owned a Waffenbrak Mauser .30cal. Is this just a C96?
Presumably it would be a C96 in 7.63x25 (aka .30 Mauser)
But looking up online, I wouldn’t necessarily count on it. It seems like it is coming from an old news report or police release (from the mid-20s). The “Waffenbrack” and references to it being a machine gun many years before the Schnellfuer was produced seem to say something is wrong but C96 is definitely the most likely candidate.
Mae 😍
Mae would make a great AI voice for Weapons Console in a video game. "Would you like to estimate range? For that distance, I recommend the HE round"...
If she ever does, I might get that game for that reason alone, if they manage to rope Othias and hell why not Karl, Ian and Paul Harrel (yes shatter-Esque pauses included), I am young that game and forcing the seller to take my money at a gunpoint
And it has a pitol grip!
Did they make a full auto version of this?
Czech cyq Spreewerk P38 next, all 16 variations..
Nice for engagements
today we put Glocks into the plastic chassis', our grand grandpas be like......
This is so diesel punk that any other small arm pales in comparison.
Luger LP08 pistol carbine...
Although pretty rare to saw it, but it pretty sure it looks good.
Pretty accurate, not much recoil and...
It can fire over 800m? Well, not sure but I guess it can fly at 800m but the bullet can hit a person could be hard.
But still, better handle the shots care. Because the bullet can fly even further which sometimes can accidentally hit an unfortunate guys...
Luger smg lol with bump fire
Kraut Space Magic, 1908 edition.
This video does not look below.
800m sights!? or just range?
either way...
👍👍👍
NO way!
👍👍
Feeding the algorithm for any slight help, since I feel bad for having to pause my monetary support. :(
Вот где полная демократия. Люди живут, и радуються жизни.
I shall sacrifice one upvote and one comment for the algorithm. All hail the algorithm!
0:35 ...don't forget to depress... My thoughts are so far from LP08 :)
