We're Eric & Allison and we're on a journey to find the most interesting places and unique foods this planet has to offer! We've traded in our steady paychecks and permanent home for a life of travel and adventure. Come along and see the world with us!
I'm always amazed by the skill of those cooks and the cheap prices.
Because Indonesians always take a little profit.
Small sellers don't calculate profits, production costs, etc. with sales formulas like restaurants / hotels. If they get a return on their investments, sell a lot, even make little profit, they're happy.
In some places the price of a meal is usually a "deal between vendors"
for example (in my area) the price of nasi goreng/mie goreng is 12.000
add 1 egg 15.000
if you want to increase the price Rp 1000, all traders in the area / road will make an appointment :)
7:26 mmm MMM OOHbaby! That's the best appreciation of martabak manis I have every heard!
đđ
but it is soooo good.
That looked like so much yumminess! đ
Excited to see Trevor and Anna's vlog about it. đ
You've been my travel inspiration for awhile...your camera detail in this video is amazing! I have several solo days in Indonesia in July, thank you for the tips!
It's so great that you try to minimize your (plastic) waste. Fat thumbs up!
"There's some salty balls in there" hahaha... That was a good one!!! Cheers!!!
I love watching you guys.. You guys were exciting and so fresh to watch
Bakso is one of Indonesia's favorite cuisine. Yes, it is salty, thats why every Bakso stall provides "Kecap manis" (Sweet soy sauce). Almost every Indonesian put sweet soy sauce in their Bakso...
Sky Watcher I never eat bakso with sweet soy sauce, but I do eat rice with just sweet soy sauce.
i never eat with sweet soy. i dont like it

For me, Kecap manis is must.
Combination of Kecap manis and Chilli sambal đ

It all looks so good. Made me hungry watching this episode.

Oh snap! That's so kind, thank you đđ
Thank you so so much for posting this wonderful video and for inspiring me to get back into vlogging again!! MUCH MUCH appreciated - and all this food has made me so so hungry! x
đžđ
Sadly the next two years after this video were very hard to travel-blog or live a normal life after all. Hope you got chances to express anyway!
Thank you for putting the prices of the food in the video, that's fantastic.
We always mean to, but usually get so excited about the food that we forget to write down the prices. đ We'll definitely try to be better about it in the future!
Love your videos so much!!! Canât wait for you to come to South Africa!!!
Thanks so much! Hoping to get down there this summer/fall (or I guess your winter/early spring đ ). Stay tuned!
The real Indonesian sateh is delicious! The meat is marinated in the family secret marinade for 1 night and also the peanut sauce is in different versions. And seared above a charcoal fire.... MAN I am salivating at the thought about it! Some basic Indonesian: Ayam is chicken, Ikan is fish, Boemboe is herbs, goreng is pan-fried, sambal the spicy mix that comes in different flavours and spiciness. My recommendations: Babi Ketjap, Bapao rolls, Pepesan , Rendang, Gado Gado and even a plain Nasi (rice) goreng (fried) with Seroengdeng (sweet mix of coconut powder, roasted peanuts and spices and crispy brown onions. )
There are some kind of Indonesia sate. And yeah, Sate sambal kacang is my fav.
Great vlog keep it up
Great video always a pleasure đđ
GREAT VIDEO PRESENTATION GUYS OMG I CAN FEEL THE HEAT FROM MY ANDROID LOL.đ. ....HAVE A GREAT ADVENTURE GUYS
Iâm loving the Bali videos! Itâs so chill, despite the sweating ;) the market looked awesome, and so did all the food! We have a market here in Newcastle and itâs so good to explore, this inspires me to go back and have a new look around! Hope you had your noodles for your midnight snack, or breakfast đđ
They were definitely a midnight snack and omg, they were SO DELICIOUS. We were a bit sad we'd already turned the camera off. đđEnjoy the market in Newcastle, hopefully you find something new and delicious!
Martabak Manis with cheese and chocolate are the best
Using the price bags on the things you eat is a very informative thing to do really helps understand the prices of things thank you for that , you two are so fun to be with , thank you so much , and keep making videos, Stay Safe đ€đ€đ€đ€đ€đ€đ€Thomas from Fort Lauderdale Florida
Satay, thatâs heaven on sticks! Super delicious. And besides the peanut sauce, theyâve doused it with kicap manis or sweet soy sauce. Fish sauce is almost unheard off in all Indonesia cuisine. The sweet Martabak, the batter has self raising flour, baking soda and sometimes yeast, that explains why itâs spongy in the middle. The savoury Martabak is a variation of the Indian Roti Prata or Paratha as some would call it. Iâm glad youâre enjoying all the good food in Bali. You guys are the best!
Oooh another place to add to my bali list! I want to try that sweet pancake!!
We hope you get to! We're still dreaming about it đ€€
Are you talking about 7:25 ? It's called martabak. And there's a restaurant in Philly that sells it.
How can something slips out of someone's mouth....đ..both of you are the amazing.....đđđ
Love you two...can travel around the world with you from comfort of my home..lolll...love it all..very well done!!!!
Love having you along for the adventures! đ
I can't agree with you any more than I do, Mariam! I'm disabled, so travel outside of the US is risky since few other countries have accommodations for handicapped folks that need to use wheelchairs for any kind of distance walking. The ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) is *wonderful* for Americans, but it kind of spoils us for international travel. Besides, being disabled means travel for more than a day trip just isn't in my budget. But I've been on The Endless Adventure with Eric and Allison since they decided to go pro (no pun intended) and travel full-time, and it's been a blast. I didn't even mind (much) when they didn't take any of my suggestions for how to travel north, by car, from San Francisco a couple of years ago. The California gold country and the wineries that now dot the gold country are actually a lot more fun and interesting than pretty much anyone ever gives CA credit for developing.
@@calichef1962 sorry to hear.. sine of us are limited by our handicap purseđ.. so we'll travel the world via this wonderful couple
Looks Yummy đ
travelling is the best decision i've ever made. i used to have an ignorant/narrow minded view on most countries from what i seen on films, the news etc but when you travel it really opens your mind
We arrive to Uluwatu tomorrow - watching your vids as a little teaser! Hope you guys are loving Bali â€ïž
Haven't been back watching your channel, the opening cracked me up. Haha.

We've actually tried durian before and unfortunately are not fans, so no durian tasting this time around. đBut that just means there's even more for you and other durian-lovers! đ
I've always enjoyed your videos! I was in Sanur last October, and had an amazing meal at 'Warung Mak Beng'. You HAVE to go there! They only serve this combo of 2 dishes: a fish head soup & a fried fish with sambal (plus rice, of course). DIVINE! :-) Oh, and please let me know if you come to Jakarta; I'll take you guys on a food adventure!
Hi Eric and Allison, hope you guys are having a good time! The chicken skewers with the peanut sauce are the best! I am actually in Bali too (Nusa Dua) if you havent already, check out the tallest statue in indonesia garuda wisnu statue!

Thanks for the video. Try Nasi Jinggo is a street food from Bali. It consists of steamed rice and several complements and side dishes. And you will be surprise for the price n portion.
"Bakso" Authentic Indonesian food, when will you visit Indonesia againđ
Greeting đđźđ©
Hope u can visit another amazing destination of Indonesia, like sumba islands
Omg đ You're making me homesick for Indonesia and I've never been! Nice food reviews, also thanks for the prices. What season is it for them right now that it's so hot, or is it just hot all the time? âđ»
Laura Elle Cloud in wet or rainning session make it more hot at night.
I love Indonesia, I love Bali
You even have to try sate lilit (wrapped skewer) the authentic balinese skewer made from minced chicken or fish with grated coconut and wound around lemongrass sticks. For more pleasure don't forget to taste it together with sambal matah
Endless adventure, Iâm now hungry
I just stumbled upon your older Vlog today. Amazing Bali I should revisit Sanur again .Can you let me know what is the address of that cute cottage you are staying. in Sanur ? Thanks
Everyone who comes to Indonesia should try our "martabak" or it is easier known as pancake in English, if you go to Bandung, that one placed called Martabak Andir is definitely the best one. The salty one usually also have a very good taste, maybe you just haven't found the best one yet in Bali... oh and sometimes restaurant in hotel also serve these dishes...
Can you go to Thailand? Bangkok especially. But also the north. Would be amazing with you documenting it.
Ilove bali

Sanur is a much better location if you dislike Kuta and Seminyak. I normally stay further out in Keramas. The volcanic beaches are beautiful.
How do you avoid Bali belly while there? Are you seeing any signs of virus scare or are tourist taking any precautions?
What virus? Local eat too. And they still a live still health ???

What was the Sanur Villa called
"Martabak manis" is usually called "terang bulan" or in english is "moonlit" & Sometimes it's called the Indonesian pancake đđ
I have been watching you that long it really bothered my ocd that you didn't place your hand over the camera at the end! Lol!
LOVE that you noticed that ahahahahhahaa
@@BellaDiary I was no no, that's not right, come backkkkkkkkkk! Lol
Even though I have OCD too I found that whole pool scene quite refreshing after them being so hot all day. I was really hoping that they would just sink or swim away rather than the hand (which Iâm use to and donât mind). It works the other way too. If they are in a cold climate for a whole video, Iâll either want to get under my covers or make myself a cup of hot tea, lol. Regardless of what the weather is on my end, itâs all about it just adding to my temporary escape and living a few minutes vicariously through themđ! Thanks Allison and Eric!!

Can you wright the names for those goods in comments so I can wright them down correct spelling thank guys
what about the infamous 'bali belly' and those ice based smoothies? safe/unsafe??
