- This week we’re back in one of our favourite places, Bali! However, we’re checking out a brand new town (to us) in South Eastern Bali called Sanur.
We’re sharing a beautiful villa with our friends Eric and Allison from the Endless Adventure, and we start off by giving a villa tour of our gorgeous place in Sanur.

After showing off our villa we head out to check out Sanur. We make our way to the beach and along the boardwalk where we eventually stop for some food (Gado Gado) and happy hour drinks.
Later we head to the night market in Sanur. It happens every night of the week and is called Pasar Sindhu Night market where we try a few different foods like a fresh made juice, Murtabak, and chicken sate.

Tevor and Anna I go to Bali twice a year. Also, I can speak Indonesian enough to be dangerous. The one street food snack you had at the night market was Martabak (it is basically a quiche). Plus you had my favorite chicken satay (sate ayam) with peanut sauce (bumbu kacang). Other islands like Sumatra serve satay with a savory sauce. Also the word for night market is Pasar Malam. Last, you did right thing by going to Nusa Lembongan, since you are basically staying at the port there. In the future, I would also recommend Nusa Penida which is a closer and better island. Jairus

I live in Bali, well you all visit Bali, you tried gado-gado (Javanese trad food), satay with peanut souce (not originaly fm Bali, Balinese one :satay merah, satay lilit, pork satay) and egg martabak (fm India)_ the sweet one called : Terang bulan wit the ingrediant you can choose (chocolate, milk, cheese, peanuts etc)

6:17 That's not a fish cracker, that's called "Emping Melinjo", melinjo (Gnetum gnemon) is a kind of nut that the taste is a bit bitter, people usually cook the nuts as vegetable with soup, or smash them till they get really flat and then deep fried them, which called "Emping Melinjo"

Indonesian here, that's chicken sauté way too expensive there.. I'm so sorry guys. U guys should buy it in other place, here in Jakarta the price is only about 1 - 2 dollars /10 pcs.

Its been a crazy couple of months we also were traveling when Covid hit and the Cdn Government told us to return home....our insurance company also told us to return they were ceasing all coverage as of March 23 so we had to pack up from Myrtle Beach SC and head north....we had friends stranded in Peru but thank goodness they made it back on a repatriation flight...they were not safe their hotel was closing they were the only people in it and no other hotel would accept guests they would have been in the streets with their son....scary stuff...you two look like your in a beautiful safe spot...enjoy your time with each other!!..viv

Trevor.. things are opening more now. Stores are at 100% capacity now.. bars are opening, things are slowly getting back to normal. I’m still not use to seeing people wearing a mask 😷 but hopefully that will be a thing of the past soon enough!!!

Gado2 Rp39.000? ..so expensive. usually only Rp8.000-Rp18.000, depending on the additional ingredients
