- English translation of the Italian store clerk as he is yelling at Peter.
Note: I can't guarantee that the translation is 100% accurate, however I can assure you it is very close to what is being said.
For those who are wondering, this episode is Season 6, episode 8 "McStroke" - Komedie
I've been stationed in Italy for 2 years and I work with the Italian Air Force. One day I was working a gate and an Italian Air Force girl asked if I speak Italian. I said "Si, boppa di boopi!" She started laughing and said "Griffin!"
You gotta love those Italian women
+73giowhiteusa Oh shit, you got me good.
+Sokan1993 whatever douche !!
+73giowhiteusa you both are douche bags
+Bly Young whatever douche !!
Peter was clearly asking about the salami. Italians are so unreasonable.
Brother I don't think you know fake mustache endowed Italian, he was asking about the antipastos.
He must be scily Italian.
"guadda che beddu culu ca tiene chidda" sounds really similar :)
Racist TO ME
SimStar it's a joke no need to be mad at a small thing
"I'll kill you with this meat!"
...that's what he said!
Haha, yes, but it's pretty weird. How do you kill someone with meat? :D Maybe they want to say "ti uccido COME questa carne" and not "ti uccido CON questa carne", wich sound like "i'll kill you LIKE this meat", the meat it's an animal killed and death...but it's weird anyway. :D
Marco Guarnieri the fuck i thought you wrote cane for a second xd
Lol, i guess it can work XD But, come on, nobody would say that! :D italians or other! :D
Marco Guarnieri Use the bone in a T-bone steak as a weapon? I saw it in a crime drama show once.
that's our fav method of killing here in Italy
You forgot to translate "badda bi boopi"
+hfontanez98 boodi bi bappa?
+Qwertycal poopi di baabi di baaba boobi
+hfontanez98
If we took Peter as saying "Bob è da Bu Pi?" It could be understood as "Is Bob from Pi Tenth?"
It's still nonsense, and would need to imply something along the lines of a band name, but this is the translation più vicino.
bippi bappa badababoopi!
+hfontanez98 In Italian is a dirty word...
It's way funnier when you are Italian and directly understand what the shop owner is saying
Bappa di boopy🤌
and it actually doesn't make sense in italian either lol
more precisely: it's worded weirdly
@@marcofumi7430I've only been learning Italian for six months but generally "what?" Is "che" no need for cosa right? Then "Tu sei pazzo" is "You are crazy" but again you don't need the Tu you can just say "Sei pazzo" right? I don't understand anything else in the clip.
@@maciek8159 for "che" and "cosa" it depends of the situtaion and "sei pazzo" written in text could be confusing due to it sounding like a question too basically "are you crazy" so usually people would write tu sei pazzo too clarify even though in most cases there wouldn't be any need due to context. I hope you understood me.
@@SHADOW.RIZZARD Grazie mille! Yes, I understand. Sei Italiano?
Actually when they started arguing they sounded the same :)
+Papatso Mopaka yep, but just 'cause the italian guy in this video has got an hard american accent.
Doctor Kappa I think that Peter were talking Italian much better than Italian guy himself
because Peter then said "cedro prasto pienio arabadunda"
Peters moustache looks like a telephone
Hey, I'm italian and I'm badda bi boopi! >:(
babba de boopy?
Unpopular Opinion BABA DI PUPPI?!?
to burn in the hell!)
what the hell are you talking about?
@@ivroxxd No. He says Boppa Lee Boop
One of the handful of times this show genuinely makes me laugh!
Peter:"Scusi Bapidi Boopi?"
Guy:"Micosa?"
Peter:"Boopebeepebababapa"
You just forgot one thing. Before he says the fist to your head part, he says "Sono stanco" which means "I'm tired"
so I'm at this Italian restaurant and I say these very same words to the server. About 2 minutes later I see the manager and server were coming over to my table I figured surely the manager is just checking if the food and service was good. She gets to my table and says "sir I'm gonna have to ask you to leave and never come back here again." Oh well so much for me trying to fit in at an Italian restaurant.
+John Rivera If that is true...you`re an idiot !!!
but.. did you have a mustache ? It's pointless trying to speak italian if you don't have a mustache..
and then the silverware clapped
I want Peter Griffin to be my Italian teacher.
Peter wasn't speaking Italian he was just ripping off Mario and Luigi
I am Italian and I can confirm that Peter is speaking italian perfectly
Tell me what does Bapidi Boopi mean?
@@presleyanders-decker6665 means "Mind an information", but also "I love pasta and spaghetti"
@@mikeellerchannel HAAAA!
Watched this 50 times and still laughing😂
When he said bappa di boopy i almost cried
But when he said beepy di boopy di babay di babay di i had tears of joy
I'm from Italy and I live in the USA,this video is hysterical!!!LOL
P.S. babbi di buppi?
It's what Italian sounds like
leuce77 Not really. This is just how everyday Italian speaking sounds to us.
The only thing I understood from the year of italian I've studied was “Sei un pazzo!” (Are you crazy) and “Sono stanco di te” (I'm tired of you) 😂
That funny you crazy
0:28 real translation is :" i am tired of you ,i give you a fist in your face"
BAHAHAHAHAHAHH!!!!
I'm Italian and I can confirm that Peter is right:
"bappa di boopy?"
BAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!
Just Can't stop laughing!
love America!!!!
Back here after Andrew Cuomo's resignation from the New York Governorship. "Andrew, you can't grope women just because you're Italian."
It's not sexual harassment, it's DiGiorno's.
@@xdragoonzero0 lmfao that DiGiorno's be harassing your tongue with that heat tho.
Also telling them "Ti uccido con questa carne!" Is no longer sexy or even appropriate. Fucking google translate!
as an intermediate Italian speaker, i can say this translation is pretty accurate
Can you translate what Peter was saying? The video only translated the butcher shop employee's lines
@@KokNokerlmao
Still one of my faves… first time I’ve ever seen a translation, thank you!
"Scussssii bappadabupiiii" XD
Alessio Di Chirico Brought me here 😂👊
Ema 126 è un genio
I'm Italian and laugh so much😂😂😂 love this scene
#bappadiboppy
Thanks for the translation mate 🤠
I believe Peter is more fluent at Italians rather than the actual Italian guy
lol best part was at the end '' I kill you with this meat!'' XD
Whoever made this translation thank you. I've always wanted to know what was said.
Thank you for this video😂
Da quando Peter ha appreso la potenza della dialettica di Supermario, è il mio nuovo idolo.
Thanks for translating what the Italian butcher said. I was a bit curious.
the only thing missing is "sono stanco di te" = "I'm tired of you". It's very funny, but also kind of racist XD I mean... stereotypical of us italians.
thank you for this mate :)
"I KILL YOU WITH THIS MEAT"
I like to think that's less of a direct threat and more of an admission that he knows how unhealthy his products are.
Hehe, thanks for translating. I always wondered what he said.
LMAO!!!! Our accents are different and quite hard to imitate perfectly, for example for a non native english speaker. The English language sounds like "wawaawawawa?" "wawawawa!!"
That's american! English sounds more like an hybrid of french and german spoke by annoying math teacher.
Rabbids 100%. WAAWAAAA!
I laughed so hard at this video when my friend showed it to me
Love him or hate him, he’s spitting straight facts
Who? The Italian butcher?
That is really helpful...thanks
Glad i found this
Haha "Now that I got a mustache , the timing feels right"
Translation is perfect. 100% accurate!
I know plenty of Italians !! And they are always funny even in times of sadness like in a funeral if you have two or three Italians they make it fun!!
He also says:"I'm sick of you" before "get out of here"
@TheNintendoBros12 ....My sister has this as a call back on her cell phone and it is hysterical, especially since we are "Italian"! Lol
The best is the subtitles.
omgggggggggggggg i cant stop watching this! its freakin hilarius
i knew the translation. phrases you hear on a daily basis growing up in an Italian family
The most stereotyped in this show are the americans themselves. So i'm not offended :)))). Anyway english, especially the american one, sounds like a barking dog to us. wrawrawrawrawrawrawrawra
@ matteo 1900: Lol. Good one. Basically, this joke about Italian language("Baba di boopi") is similar to the joke about Mandarin language("King Kang Kong" or "Ching Chang Chong" or whatever). To the Americans, any language besides English language sounds either funny or complete gibberish to their ears. This just goes to show how ignorant the Americans are about other people's languages.
Matteo 1900 No, the most stereotipated are Italians, since the stereotypes come from nothing. This show started many invented stereotypes that has no reason to be with Italy.
Behrouz Jazizadeh Obviously you didn't understand what i meant. Family guy, as well as many americans in this comment section, made a joke about my language. And it's totally legit. I made a joke about english language, and suddenly i am a hypocrite? If there's anyone here who is an idiot without a sense of humor, it's you.
finally found out what he was saying.
Good thing we have a translation now.
Alessio Di Chirico saying this in the UFC on FOX post fight interview lol
It might be racist as hell but that's how like every person argues in Italy xD
VirginPlayBoy69420Cringy Since when Italian is race?
Racism is really funny. Political correctness ruins comedy.
maybe you see the worst of italy where people scream and talk with shitty accents like that lol...
@@Artur960426 Less than 100 years ago Italians had their own option on census forms. The history of this country, Italians were in a gray area between "white" and "other". So when you say "since when is Italian a race?" I say the real question is "When were the Italians given their 'white' card?" And the answer to that is in the mid-20th century.
There are still parts of this country that will treat you like an other if they find out you're Italian. Race is a construct and who's a member of what race changes drastically from location to location, from time to time. There's you answer.
@DrakoFangs i found out in the middle of the comment i didnt feel like backspacing the whole thing
Bibbidi bobbidi boo?
@pureplayaa I'm sure even the smartest of people can appreciate a little randomness/silliness once in a while. No one is forcing you to like Family Guy, but you're really not in any position to call people brainless if they do happen to enjoy it.
Thank you to the poster for the translation, I had always wondered what was actually being said in this clip. :)
LOL I'm Italian and I find this just aweome
I teach Italian and I always mention this episode to my students. Peter nailed it!
haha I love the way peter moves to talk haha
its funnier to think the Italian understands Peter
Peter probably ordered something that the butcher didn't know how to make
@@presleyanders-decker6665 you dont know babada bopadi?
The Italian guy is right! Peter is pazzo!
HAHA great vid!
Well peter knows *one* word that's italian at 0:10 though.🇮🇹😂
This happened the moment I told my friend I was Italian
I just seen Kelly Ripa's Ancestry commercial about her being Italian. So in a knee-jerk reaction to her speaking Italian, I said Boppa Di Boopi at the TV; then I had to Google why I know that saying lol.
I remembered this scene differently. I coulda sworn he started responding "boppity boopy" as well, lol
AWESOME
i love Biran's face xD Hilarious!
@yxuz the point of this was Peter was mocking how Italians sound when arguing.
@brohan914 I don't know... well, in Italy almost everybody speaks a little bit of english, so we can't invent words in english as we already know it! But, for example, when a person can't remember how to say a verb or a name, says the same word that it's in italian but without the last letter. e.g. the finestr, the libr,e cc.
I just tried to speak into my phone and sometimes the phone doesn't hear correctly at all so I was hopefull it would understand me when I tried to translate the Italian guy's dialogue by myself and when I found out he told Peter you're a lunatic I lost it. XD
@dasvidaniah
that was kind of the entire punchline, genius.
lol i just looked up the (english) translation and it looks pretty accurate
i would unironically rather have this play for the duration of the mario movie than listen to chris pratt's voice if i were to see it a second time
after this, look at all the anime version of this video XD
This is so hilarious
Wow my comment happened to be the 500th :) anyways love this! How did Cruz end up here though?
@TheConferenceNorth haha those languages sound the same to us, what does english sound like to you guys?
@janesconference Yes, you're right, In no region of italy they speak like that...
@towanda83 : I clearly heard the last word by the Italian actor as "karne"! Therefore, the sentence should really be "I kill you with this meat".
I thought they were punching each other but that was actually from a flipnote animation.
Wow simply wow
So that's what he's saying. I always wondered about that
Okay I thought the joke was the guy actually understood Peter's fake Italian and they got in like a really bad argument over something. Like "boppi da bapa" translated to "I fucked your wife."
"I kill you with this meat" is actually "I kill you with these hands"... but the guy's pronunciation is a little bit off ("ti uccido con queste MANE" instead of "ti uccido con queste MANI". Long live the "Guidos", I guess. XD
yep translation is quite accurated XD
@belpacco indeed it is my fellow WOP, indeed it is
only thing left out appears to be 'sono stanco di te", or "I'm tired of you". :)
friggin hilarious!
i am learning italian rn and can confirm it’s all bappa di boopi
Destrage sent me here via their song 'home made chili delicious italian beef'
I'm italian and i don't consider this video offensive, rather this is awesome
0:26 When you're arguing with Benito Mussolini.
Stupendo xD
Ma questa puntata c'è anche in italiano? Perché su youtube non la trovo e vorrei vedere com'è..
@z0rb1n0 Lol its a 30 second clip, im pretty sure they didnt want to go through the effort to find a native for a half minute cut away scene, that would be a waste of money lol
italians are cool :) I mean heres just a little list of awesome things from italy : Alfa romeo (especially 156), Vespa, The Mafia. the suits afcourse and prada... I find italy awesome!! Theyve got class and style!!
Italians rule!
i learn more Italian in this video then at school
