This is very informative and helpful! My little sister was a very gifted artist, she passed away in 2016. I wish I could paint like you and like she could so I’m trying to learn. Thank you! I've been wanting to learn to paint to relieve anxiety and distract myself from chronic illness. I'm not expecting to become a Master Artist LOL - I'm just very inspired by the beauty, creativity and options that art has to offer! I'm mesmerized by the Artists videos! Your video is one of the first that truly covers some of the basic questions about strokes and simple things like loading the brush properly! I'll probably be an unknown Abstract artist when it's all said and done, but I'm sure having fun again! Thank you!
You make it look so easy. I've tried painting a cabbage rose, however I have problems with getting the white tones bright. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
Use floating medium you will get better tones

I absolutely LOVE your videos! You are very skilled at explaining every step. My only HUGE problem is I'm left-handed and find it difficult to figure out how to reverse what you're doing. My flowers are great because each petal is smaller than the leaves. My grapevine & daisy leaves become blobs! Do you have any left-handed tutorials? Thanks for your generosity in making these videos. You are so talented.

Medium won't keep from getting muddy paint, but you can try making sure your brush handle is straight up and down when loading and stroking.

My brushes are made by Plaid and I designed them for my technique
