- Watch a session from the part-time TESOL course at Wits Language School, Johannesburg during which Andrew Drummond demos a lesson focusing on using the PPP methodology to present functional language of interrupting, followed by an analysis of the role of each stage of the lesson. Thanks to Kelly Woodrow for shooting the video. Please also download the powerpoint shown on screen: www.dropbox.com/s/01iics5b1fl...
When I started my MA TESOL program in the summer of 2014, I could not find any quality videos on CZcams demonstrating exemplary ESOL teaching. I was about to step back into the ESOL classroom, and I wanted guidance. I could read a book or talk to a professor, but I couldn't see anyone who was giving me TESOL-related advice actually putting the advice into practice.
Thanks to Andrew Drummond and his team at Wits, the situation is very different today. As an aspiring TESOL professional, I immensely appreciate these videos. It's one thing to read how ESOL should be taught; it's another to see someone demonstrate, step by step, how a good ESOL lesson comes together. Thank you Andrew Drummond and team! Please keep up your amazing work!
That's too kind!

Sir it's very nice videos but it would be better if you can make the audio (i mean your voice) a lil bit louder. So that I can hear your voice clearly. Thank you
Thanks.
T stands for Teacher, SS stands for Students, and TL stands for Target Language. Good luck

Good video
Dear, aren't Yes/No questions supposed to be uttered with rising intonation at the end ???
It's useful.
plz can you send me the photo of the dialogue ?
Thank you for all the efforts .. I just have a quick question : what is meant by CCQs !
They are Closed Clarification Questions. (the question you ask checking understanding of the specific language)
They are Concept Checking Questions. They are used to clarify whether your students understand what was taught in class before moving on to the next part of the lesson. ICQs are Instruction Checking Questions. They are used to make sure that the students understand the instructions that you have given them.
May I ask what the difference between freer practice and production is? I can't hear trainees' answers. Thank you!
The poor sound quality makes it difficult to watch. Fortunately you can turn on the closed captions. I am just wandering if anything can be made or if anybody could fix the sound. It is muffled, it is way too low.
Nice.
Useful lecture about speaking skills

Good👍
Making sure the audience can hear you (nudge nudge) is paramount.
Thank
I am a teacher i finished only English diploma,,can I take this course to improve my self
With a few modifications the sentence structures you wrote would be correct if they were formatted as:
I am a teacher.
I finished my English diploma.
Can I take this course to improve myself?
So yes, in my opinion, you just have improved your language skills by practicing your writing.
Nice
volume of this video is so low =(
Sound is very low.

Really a great video.Just that instead of CCQ it is ICQ before seting up the debate task in this case.Nevertheless great work.
