Fantastic video. You solved my confusion about MFP. Before I thought that meaning is just the literal meaning of the grammar or the word; however, after watching your video, I know that meaning, in this case, stands for context. Thank you very much mister. Good job!

    James Cannon's Q is right!
I remember trying to teach the word 'candle' to an 'all Arab Students Class'. Just I as began to draw it on the board one student started singing "Happy B'day to you...'

Dear Theo, I'd really like to thank you for having posted such an extremely helpful video, as it is filled with great ideas about both teaching and learning English. As a non-native speaker of English, I also thank you for helping us improve our listening skill. May you and everyone everywhere have a lot of peace, joy and harmony. And yes, we're all looking forward to your new posts.
Thank you very much, indeed. Muito obrigada.

I haven't done the course yet but I think this is one of the big things they look for--to always make sure you explain a word in terms of simpler words!
Even "candle" is probably a bit suspect. Wouldn't most books have a picture?
