3 Days Alone in the Winter Forest - Bushcraft and Camping in Snow - Off Trail Hike

- Solo Bushraft in the cold. People might wonder why often there is weather change in my videos. Well not always but.. yes I like weather change and aim for it when I shoot videos. Its like I check the forecast and aim for it. Grey weather for a week is dull. When there is weather change stuff happens in nature.. the light changes etc.. animals move..sounds..its about catching those magic moments with the camera. Love the moment of first snow on bare ground. This time it happened in the night though but nice to wake up to the white.
Tried out a new setup with the Polish Lavvu. Even when there is some snow or mild rain it can be very effective. If the wind change just switch side. And even if its quite open the fire in the middle warms and dries out good. If you sit/lie under one half shelter its almost the same feeling as being inside a heated teepee. But I guess it has its limits if the wind picks up or start to rain more etc.. but I figure.. then it would not be much work lifting up the pegs on one half and move the shelter in and button it together with the other. (especially if you would set it up with centre poles if you know bad weather is coming) Should be able to do that in five minutes if need be. Helps a lot to have a movable fire though. So a great new setup for me.
As always material for crafting are brought to site and not harvested on location. I have my favorite spots that I visit often and I am determined to leave nature pristine and unspoiled. Please follow the Swedish "Allemansrätt" when camping in Sweden.

Je vais encore me régaler à regarder cette nouvelle vidéo. Je suis encore choqué par la mort de Ric Nagualéro. La forêt n'aura plus le plaisir de le voir emprunter ses sentiers, les arbres ne le verront plus passer sous leurs frondaisons. La vie est peut être belle mais elle est également cruelle et injuste et les innombrables prières à dieu ne semble pas changer les choses. C'est vrai que c'était votre alter-égo, votre double, lorsque je regardais ses vidéos je regardais aussitôt les vôtres après, de grandes ressemblances dans la qualité de l'image et l'atmosphère, l'ambiance qu'il s'en dégage. En plus pour vous cela faisait comme une émulation (et pour lui aussi je suppose) à partir à l'aventure et ramener des films, rien à voir avec la concurrence. Merci encore en tout cas depuis la France.

Other than myself, your the only person who I see using that fire bowl. I think I enjoy the most your pictures, you seem to have a great eye for Photography and you give us enough time to absorb it with out eyes.. Your cooking always makes me hungry so I eat Dinner before viewing your Videos.. In 1973 I lived in a Canvas Lean-To in the Adirondacks for 6 months from October to March in all kinds of weather living off the Land.. Loved it... Thanks for Sharining...

Brother Swede👍👍🏕 Well there you go again making most of us jealous with this business of having too much fun in the wild. I think you like to rub it in sometimes, I can see it in that look you give the camera from time to time. Seriously this is another fine example of bushcraft skills, ingenuity and common sense out in the forest wilderness. Never lacking for delicious food, obviously you don't go hungry...ever. The twin opposing lavvu set up was interesting, I can see "sliding" the two halves together if weather turns ugly, unique idea implemented well. No fish...bummer. Great video, well filmed as always and the drone footage just keeps getting better. Thanks for the hard work making these videos, lots of time involved. Take care, good health. See you next time.

It's taken me this long to get to this video. Other distractions spin me out and I don't even know how I get to that point. Then I come here and find my center. This is my oldest subscription and after all of these years it is still my favorite.
