We should definitely take in count our daily life and place. I added high heels to my collection, never used them; flats, never use them. But, I got about 10 different pairs of booties and use them all. Same thing with my chuck Taylor’s, use them almost everyday. I do like loafers better than flats. We just have to adapt this list to our needs. I just found a pair of Sorel that look so much like those ugg, and they are sooo comfortable. At the end, I love watching your videos. Thank you Erin!
Shoe secret - used it since high school - ‘mole skin’ bandage tape - sticky on one side, soft on the other. Like the heel savers but come in a roll so you can customize - stick on shoe or foot. Can get it on Amazon and probably also at a shoe repair place.
I'm jealous of all these women who say their legs are TOO thin! I'd like to see cute wide calf options for tall boots. My legs are my problem area - they're just big and muscular. I can't wear most regular tall boots because my calf measures the size of most of their circumference (or bigger), so if I CAN get it on, I can't really wear it with jeans. I've been on the hunt for a knee high, suede, camel colored pair of boots this season and can't find any that fit ANYWHERE! I love the Sam Edelman ones, but I couldn't even get them on all the way. It also doesn't help that I have small feet and big legs :( I wish designers would offer more wide calf options - most of the ones I do find are not cute.
Yes, I love the abundance of euphemisms about rainboots. Let's be blunt--can you say Athlete's Foot Factory? I know you can. Thick cotton socks. No doubts there. The same goes for the snow boots (originally lived in eastern WA) if you continue to wear them inside.

Hi Erin, for gals who have trouble with heels Sole Society Trudie or Andorra are low block heels. LOVE them and have like, 3 different colors. I started with the leopard print, then got red suede, and then got the black leather. A great comfy classic chic shoe that gals will want to buy in EVERY color.

I don't wear traditional pumps. My shoes are sling-backs, kitten-heeled: pseudo suede dove grey, patent leather pearl-pink (I'm white and this is a good flesh tone for me), matte black funky and matte navy blue. As well as faded blue and creme espadrilles wedge and block heeled black matte and fabric with side zipper bootie. I have a fun rain bootie too. I am in central Texas and can wear almost all my shoes year round. I don't wear shoes that are painful and can't wear comfortably for 4 hours. I'm 56, former ballet dancer and 24+ years on my feet in the medical field so taking care of my feet is paramount. Great video.
I totally love that you embrace your bunions! I can’t stand mine! I don’t recall any females or males in my family having them, but of course I got the lottery! Yay me!!! Hate them and they hurt and operating is crap because it really doesn’t work! But yes, most of us have it, especially women!

Thanks for all your videos on cold weather boots. I've used La Canadienne for years. They may never have claimed to be snowproof, but I actually shovel snow in CT with an old pair of La Canadienne knee-high black suede wedgies. And nary a snowflake with any of my LCs in years of commuting into NY - or shoveling my way out of CT's 12-36" snowfalls a few times every winter. So I say if you like their sleek look - go for it!
I have the Veja sneakers in red/navy and yes I need at least 6 months to fully break them in. The upside is they look really chic. Worth the effort. Xoxo
can not wear heels unless as I did with boots so they have height at the front, and then a heel, omgosh I got so many compliments for those knee high boots & short booties. I think I can use the same idea and get pumps with heel height and not look frumpy, believe me I never dressed frumpy! I do have the neutrals & basic black so far. Going to get for sandals, those clear sandals in straps for summer. I got the bootie= 3 pair and one have pointy toes with the wedge at f reront and heel so I am not stumbling. No heels skinny. Getting sneeker with wedge and low vamp in white. And they zip!!! I learned alot from a friend who worked at shoe repair... that is how to get the height w/0 .
Another great sneaker type casual boot is made by Cougar. I have great black ones with a white sneaker base that are plush lined. SO COMFORTABLE AND WARM!! I wore them last March on St. Patrick's Day in cold Boston and we did alot of walking. What a smart choice that day. Check out Cougar. I believe they are also a Canadian brand.

Birdies and Gentle Souls are two great brands that make comfortable flats. I’ve had a ton of knee and hip surgeries and my feet are flat so I’m very picky with my shoes and I love both of those a lot! I’ve done the Birdies with both the satin insoles and the fuzzy ones and they are both extremely comfortable and I can wear all day while being on my feet.
You mention a lot in this video people that can not wear heels.... funny, I am one of those rare women that CAN’T wear flats!! 😂😂. It is the result of a back injury and resulting surgery, but I can only wear heels!! Lucky for me, I LOVE heels!! Many of my heels, booties, and boots were recommendations from you!! Love the white snow boots! Those are going to look great in the snow. Talking about switching out flats for heels, I've found a middle ground (haha). Cole Haan almond toe medium height wedges are really comfortable with some good quality support in the construction, and they look very dressy. I switched all my office heels for these wedges in different colors. I especially like the Grand Ambition design.
I LOVE shoes too!! I'm sorry to hear the pointed Rothy's aren't very comfortable. It may be one of those styles you have to go up a size. All my Rothy's are the rounded toe and are very comfortable--at least for me. BE (before Erin) I pretty much stayed away from pointed toes because I thought they made my foot look larger. Now, I've added several pairs to my collection and I love them. I'm going to need more closets! ;) ~ xo

So I can only wear low healed booties and sneakers of these options, stupid toe issues. I had surgery on my toe 3 years ago and it's been feeling pretty good lately so recently I wore a pair of heels (about 2 or 21/2 in) to a wedding. My toe was in pain for a week, never again not worth it. I can wear wedge sneakers as long as they aren't too high and recently bought a leopard pair and a camo pair from the brand blondo. I do love shoes even though it's mostly booties and sneakers for me😘
I own two pairs of the Minnie Travel Ballet Flats by Tory Burch, one in black and the other a caramel brown. I SWEAR by these flats. Worth every penny. Great shoes for traveling and work.

Blondo booties are my "go to" booties. AGL are the most comfortable flats I've found, and I just bought my first pair of Hunter rain boots. Adidas for sneakers. I love shoes!

I'd love for you to do a spring/summer and fall/winter video featuring full on elegant, monochromatic looks - complete with clothing, coat, bag and shoes...Preferable with all items available so we can shop the post. (per usual;) I recently ordered the camel wrap coat you featured. It was gorgeous on you, but looked like an oversized robe on my hourglass frame.
White Sorels with tread sole are cute, HOWEVER...pebbles/gravel will wedge into the divets... Then, you slide all over wet tiles floor or scratch your wood floors. A BIG fall risk too. Trust me...I were Sorels for 20 years in the northern lattitudes.
I have never found a pair of flats I found to be comfortable. Must be my wide foot and high arch. Bummed my over-the-knee boots must be out of style. A pair of grey snake skin knee-high boots and a pair of black croc knee-high boots are definitely on my list this year. I might need to add those snow boots too. So cute!
I am so glad you did a little review here on the Rothy flats because I was debating on whether to buy them or not. I only really like the pointed toe ones too because they just look more expensive and classy. I have bunions which make my one foot more painful with flats and it looks like they will cut right into my problem area by seeing them on you. Such a problem sometimes for a woman! Ugh! I also love the Everlane Chelsea boots you showed... I think they make beautiful boots for a sustainable brand! I am going to try their brand soon since I do sustainable fashion on my channel and trying to only support brands that focus on that. Great video!

Great video! Question about booties! Do you wear socks with them. I have a real problem with my heals cracking in the colder months so I need to wear socks. I haven’t found any that you can’t see when wearing the shoes and that also provide that protection for my heals.
How often do you update your basics? The brown knee high boots look very modern (so much so that I’m out of the loop for what’s new). I’m wondering how someone can invest in good quality but not look dated in a few years if they’re going to spend on good shoes and boots.
Vionic flats are the most comfortable, I have a bad back and can’t wear heels. I only buy vionic because really they have a gathered back for your heel so they do not slip. Also they have a arch support which is really important. I have three pair black Burgundy and cream. You should give them a try.

You can update these by grabbing a pair with an almond or pointed toe. They are a classic. Loafer are great too, but not quite as feminine.

Shoes are everything! Makes or breaks an outfit. How I wish Aquazzura would re-issue the Amazon lace up pumps, and preferably in an 85 mm heel.

You have to go up a full size in Rothy’s points. I am an 8.5-9 and I wear a 9.5 in rothys points.

I can not wear flats...they hurt my feet. Even trainers hurt, but much better with the support.

Blondo booties are my "go to" booties. AGL are the most comfortable flats I've found, and I just bought my first pair of Hunter rain boots. Adidas for sneakers. I love shoes!
I have 10+ pairs of Sam Edelman Felicia flats - every color AND leopard print! Always my favorite ballet flat.
I have just discovered kitten heels! Mine are like flats with a pointy toe. Great for people with painful feet.
We definitely can use Chelsea boots, sneakers and low hell boots with skirts and dresses in fact it is a lot fresh and modern using like that !

(per usual;) I recently ordered the camel wrap coat you featured. It was gorgeous on you, but looked like an oversized robe on my hourglass frame.
White Sorels with tread sole are cute, HOWEVER...pebbles/gravel will wedge into the divets... Then, you slide all over wet tiles floor or scratch your wood floors. A BIG fall risk too. Trust me...I were Sorels for 20 years in the northern lattitudes.

I have never found a pair of flats I found to be comfortable. Must be my wide foot and high arch. Bummed my over-the-knee boots must be out of style. A pair of grey snake skin knee-high boots and a pair of black croc knee-high boots are definitely on my list this year. I might need to add those snow boots too. So cute!

I am so glad you did a little review here on the Rothy flats because I was debating on whether to buy them or not. I only really like the pointed toe ones too because they just look more expensive and classy. I have bunions which make my one foot more painful with flats and it looks like they will cut right into my problem area by seeing them on you. Such a problem sometimes for a woman! Ugh! I also love the Everlane Chelsea boots you showed... I think they make beautiful boots for a sustainable brand! I am going to try their brand soon since I do sustainable fashion on my channel and trying to only support brands that focus on that. Great video!

Great video! Question about booties! Do you wear socks with them. I have a real problem with my heals cracking in the colder months so I need to wear socks. I haven’t found any that you can’t see when wearing the shoes and that also provide that protection for my heals.

Vionic flats are the most comfortable, I have a bad back and can’t wear heels. I only buy vionic because really they have a gathered back for your heel so they do not slip. Also they have a arch support which is really important. I have three pair black Burgundy and cream. You should give them a try.

Personally because of a stupid bunion problem I literally could not find any shoes other than wide workout sneaks to fit .
