"Shuichi."
Hearing the call, Shuichi immediately turned around.
"What?"
Seeing his smile, Kumiko felt her heart filled with happiness. After the competition, everyone was laughing and having fun. That's why Kumiko was overjoyed. With the prize in hand, Kumiko stood on tiptoe and grabbed the scarf hanging around Shuichi's neck to pull him to her side. Shuichi's eyes widened, and before he could say a word, Kumiko made the first move!
"I love Shuichi."
His pupils suddenly fluctuated violently while his throat moved up and down. Kumiko let go of her hand then looked straight at him.
"And you?"
"B-b... ahh you really do whatever you like!"
Shuichi struggled to find something in his pocket, then took out the white Italian sunflower hairpin that Kumiko had returned to him a year ago.
"Hey, here you go, take it."
The hairpin in his hand sparkled with white light. His face turned to the side, turning red, clearly showing that he was embarrassed. Kumiko saw it, took it and put it in her hair.
“What about Shuichi?”
"What does that mean?"
"Answer me, I haven't heard anything you said."
Kumiko flashed an evil smile, deliberately tilting her face to reveal the hairpin she was wearing towards him. Shuichi scratched his hair, feeling humiliated as he exclaimed.
“If you don't like this, why the hell would you bring this with you!?”
"Oh la la~"
"Laugh monkey."
Covering up his awkwardness, Shuichi gently nudged Kumiko's leg.
"Hey lovebirds over there. Get in the car or else!"
Looking back, Shuichi saw Chikao making an annoying tone at the front of the bus. From the car, the people there were staring at them, their faces glued to the windows, making "hehehehehe" sounds. Hazuki and Midori sitting in the first row were giving their thumbs up and pressing them together
"Damn it!"
Shuichi's face turned red and he jumped into the car. Kumiko's face was probably equally red at this time. While looking at the boys hugging each other, someone grabbed her shoulder.
"Happy ending."
Reina standing next to her spoke with a see-through expression. Wiping her face with her sleeve, Kumiko picked up the award certificate and waved it.
"So 'happy'."
"Um."
Reina raised the corner of her mouth. The feeling of excitement weighed heavily on her chest, causing Kumiko to hold her hand.
"Let's go too."
Holding hands, the two ran towards the bus. To Kumiko, Reina has always been a special person, now and forever.

久美子以外で最後に声が聴けるのが美智恵先生と教頭というのが
3年間の濃密な時間を過ごしつつ、変化をし、巣立っていく生徒たちと、それを傍らで見守り続ける教師との対比という意味ではいい感じですよね。
黒沢ともよさんの声低くした演技がめっちゃ良い
深みが出ているよね…
大人になったんだなーってわかるよね

久美子先生、声が大人。黒沢ともよさんが久美子役で本当に良かったです。全てのセリフに魂がこもっていて、黄前久美子というキャラクターが余裕で脳内再生できます😊

黒沢さん自身も大人になってるんだよね。1期のときはまだ10代だった。3期の落ち着いた感じは、黒沢さんの加齢も影響してるとは思う。
この作品は久美子の成長と声優さんのレベルアップがシンクロしていたと思う

久美子の歩くテンポが普通に歩くより少し早めで、曲のイントロにもあってて、大好き
お尻でっかちで猫背気味だった久美子が背筋をピンと張って肩で風を切って歩いている。 本当にユーフォは久美子の成長の物語だったのね、黒沢さんの演じ分けも見事です。 あなたが久美子で良かった。

I just love everything about this. Kumiko teaching at Kitauji. How happy and content she looks. Tsukamoto's flower pin. Her looking at the Euph. Her hand gestures mirroring Taki-sensei. What a beautiful happy ending
心の底から見てよかったと思える作品でした。
この作品は有り得ないぐらいに奥が深い作品なので、是非ユーフォの隠された物語も読み解いてみて下さい
最後の「ようこそ」が若干滝先生の言い方と似てる気がする

She has a gorgeous adult body she always dreamt off
Her old band thriving with new generations
Her school is still standing strong
...and Shuichi finally got the last laugh. He won her.
What an ending to, so far, the longest series KyoAni has ever done since the Key Studio-adaptation era (CLANNAD, and the AfterStory season totals 52 episodes, HibiEupho totals 39, with extra one spinoff movie, Liz and The Blue Bird. My personal favourite)
What a great choice of piece to play, this music is really good
It really encapsulates the whole "Life continues" and we're always looking forward to our daily life

i teared up watching the end of the episode. my favorite female protag all grown up and found her calling. and it really hits me not hearing “And the next piece begins” but “End” instead

そして、ユーフォニアム。後半の裏メロソロを二番手のラッカーユーフォの子が吹いている。…久美子が現役の時最後になしえなかったポジションで…
（ちなみに自分は過去このソロを取れなかった苦い思い出があります。悔しさまではなかったけど、ちょっと寂しいな、もっと練習頑張ろう、って思いました。）

Also, I love how they made both her walk and hair in a rhythm synced with the music
She didnt lose the solo in the novels/manga if i recall correctly. That is an anime only thing, but yeah, even so it's a wonderful ending :)

The sequence with Kumiko walking through the corridor resembles that famous sequence with Misato striding briskly before getting in the command post in 'The End of Evangelion'. Nice arrangements for Tavares' "Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel".

黒板に「全国大会金賞」と書かれていたので、今年度の目標を決めた直後の練習としてディスコキッドを演奏していたのでしょう😊
Such an underrated/under appreciated anime character. Only because she is in a lesser talked about show focused on a concert band. If someone with Kumikos progression was in any mainstream action anime, it’d be shouted from rooftops. PEAK ending

Some of the best writing tropes is how much a mark a good teacher can leave on their students. Just like how Korosensei left his teachings in the hearts of his students, just like how Lupin taught Harry so much that when Harry started teaching in Dumbledore's Army, he started dressing like Lupin in order to emulate the best teacher he knew, and likewise, how Kumiko adopted the hand gestures of the most influential teacher she knew and following his footsteps.
What a wonderful anime. It became my favourite in 2015 and still is today. Thank you KyoAni for producing this masterpiece that will live with me forever.

2:17 lo interesante aqui, es que Kumiko esta viendo a la chica que toca el eufonio, quién casualmente se parece mucho a Kumiko. Es como una metáfora a que Kumiko se reflejó por un instante y recordó que alguna vez estuvo en el lugar de esa chica cuando era joven y ahora ella se encuentra desde otra perspectiva.
Estos detalles hacen que esta serie sea una tremenda obra!
Punto y aparte uno diría que la tragedia Kyo-Ani iba a impactar mucho en la animación sobre todo en las finales, pero la música + los flashbacks hicieron esa presentación la más emotiva de las tres finales (por supuesto animar los instrumentos uno por uno con interpretaciones reales costaba dinero)

どこをどう変えたのかわからないけどしっかり久美子さんを大人に見せていてすごいなと思う。

I just realized the post-credits and the very first scene of season 3's first episode are the same. It's gone full circle.
it's the same as season 2, I've just realized it recently because of rewatching it, Asuka's graduation scene was also in the S2's 1st episode too. Truly a beautiful anime

指揮者の生徒のスカーフが緑色だったのでこの人を新部長とした時、
代替わり的には「はるか(15年)、奏？梨々花？(18年)」世代と考察する。久美子が17年世代ということで学年的にこの部長の代は24世代か27世代と推測できる。そして肌艶や滝先生の真似ができるほどの十分な経験値を積んでいること、そして「麗奈は今でもアメリカで音楽を続けている」と発言していたので、大学卒業後でも長い期間アメリカで生活していると考えられるのでこの時の久美子は27(28になる年)歳だと思います。
