I really love your videos, I've wanted a channel that does deep dives into lore speculation like this forever!! This video in particular was solid gold. I've kinda thought Kanaxai was a Dragon Champion forever, his followers go insane then turn into warped 'demons'...but there's so little lore to go off with him. Very similar to Bubbles with how mysterious they both are! The point about there possibly being two 'bodies' for one dragon, similarly to how Lyssa is a single god, I never even considered but I'm super into. There was concept art of a many headed hydra dragon attacking Lion's Arch a while back, and the EoD logo is two identical dragons, one above the water, one below. From the trailers it feels like whoever Kuunavang is talking to (Bubbles?) is reasonable and not a mindless, tormented monster...but there are still those reports of underwater denizens being driven to the surface by tentacled monsters. Maybe both can be true -- one relatively sane Elder Dragon in the Jade Sea, and one nightmarish horror lurking in the Unending Ocean...
First of all thank you sooo much ❤️❤️❤️ it means a lot. Yes that hydra picture was something that I saw brought up many times. It looks really cool. Not sure if anet decided that it might be too similar of a concept to zhaitan who was made up of many dragons and they decided to go a different route with it even after that hydra picture was revealed but it could still be true. I do try to tie in lore stuff but I know my theories are just really that - theories. But I have a really good time speculating on some of these things and it's cool to know others want to as well. When I look through CZcams I see a ton of build videos and how to farm gold and stuff but I don't see too much about the lore which I think is a shame since this games lore is pretty interesting. So i decided why no start my own channel. I do stream Sunday Monday Tuesday and we try to do discussions like these all the time so come by some time! Again thank you for the kind words!
The rest of the theory sounds dope tho. As someone who's only played gw2, the lore from the first game and how it might tie into this one is really intriguing.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. But it was 2 different elder dragons. This time around it would be 1 dragon that has 2 bodies so slightly different? But I see your point.
@@Aerali I'd really love them to have a go at it from that angle, but I don't think they'll try something as seemingly similar in the very next story step. On the other hand, with the logo design and that artwork, they heavily imply some balancing between 2 dragons / 2 aspects of one dragon...
@@evolutionground8946 yeah we will ultimately have to see but I feel like with the silence about the dsd and only the few pics that were released (namely the ones I showed which were reeleased the same day) it makes me think they are really trying to hint at this.
Want to mention that there is duality throughout the Factions. You know, Kurzick and Luxon. There is Kanaxai, but also Urgoz who ALSO has corrupted servants! Could it be that each other belong to one other dragon?

Ohhh interesting though! Yes duality seems to be a big theme there. Even with Am Fah and Jade brotherhood in the city too
