- It was so emotional to watch this trailer for Black Panther 2 even though we know that Chadwick Boseman can no longer be with us as T'Challa, it still hit us in the feels seeing that in the teaser. Seeing the Atlanteans and Namor the Sub-Mariner was also very exciting - even though we're not familiar with that storyline or character, the visuals were certainly enticing.
Marvel Studios' Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever is directed by Ryan Coogler and stars Letitia Wright (Shuri), Martin Freeman (Everett K. Ross), Lupita Nyong'o (Nakia), Angela Bassett (Ramonda), Danai Gurira (Okoye) and Winstone Duke (M'Baku)!

The Aztec/Mayan culture displayed in a movie this caliber makes me proud and excited to watch this film. Loved Black Panther and can’t wait to see two beautiful and powerful cultures in this film. The Aztec head piece was beautiful.

Endgame was meh tbh. If we're talking about marvel then No way home has come out since and is better, Shang Chi is not far behind as well. Outside of Marvel then Top Gun Maverick, The Batman, Everything all at once etc. are also better movies. Even Infinity war is better than Endgame lol. I guess if you want to say it'll be the most emotional movie since Endgame then that makes alot more sense tbh.

It won't be the same, but it will be something the remember, to celebrate and praise.

I like that they're going with Mayan/mesoamerican culture to make it as cultural as Wakanda and to set it apart from Aquaman's Atlantis.
I love the fact that they showed riri Williams. Cuz they showed that heart being cut out of the metal for a reason. Can't wait to see more of the Atlantians too.
I also love how it shows both cultural aspects of the African culture with wakanda and the Mayaan/Aztec culture with Atlantis

That transition from No Woman No Cry to Kendrick Lamar was GENIUS… its beautiful mix. Angela Bassett is truly powerful with so little. I hope, SHE (instead of Sheri), takes on the mantle of Black Panther. What if…? showed that she could hold her own as a fighter even without the Black Panther serum.
I feel like Atlantis is being attacked and they mistakenly believe Wakanda is responsible and the 2 "nations" clash before they realize neither of them is responsible and they become allies. It was impossible to not get emotional watching the trailer. WAKANDA FOREVER!

I've cried every time I've seen this trailer. It builds you up in the first half, and when Angela Bassett's speech hits, especially at 'My entire family is gone' it throws you down and breaks you. This feels so much more than a movie.
Film Theory: reason it might be Michael B Jordan in the Black Panther suit. In the first movie when Killmonger dies his final words were “bury me in the ocean where my ancestors died” something like that. Namor the Atlantean from trailer might bring Killmonger back to life using water magic or something to heal him. If there’s one thing we learned in Marvel this past year is that no one really dies. If they do they come back to life. Also when the Black Panther suit is revealed at the end of the trailer the lyrics say “and when I wake up” hinting Killmonger’s resurrection. Just a film theory.
I did not expect to cry this much from this trailer but here I am bawling my eyes out. I still think it was a massive mistake to not recast T’Challa, but I love how beautifully they are handling Chadwick Boseman’s passing. Both Chadwick and T’Challa were my heroes. REST IN POWER MY KING!
Also we are getting both Iron Heart AND Namor The Submariner! As someone who is half Latino myself I love that we are getting a top tier superhero representing us!
I’ve never cried during a trailer. Today ended that. I can’t even describe in words how amazing and moving it was. I wasn’t as hyped for it as other projects before, but now, I can’t wait. 😄

This trailer did a cool audio trick. If you pay attention, in the beginning there's a "heartbeat" in the sound track. And then it slowly speeds up until by the end it's beating fast. It gets your own heart to slowly match it and make your heart pound!

I think what we're going nto see is the invasion of Wakanda by Atlantis, which did happen in the comics - which, I THINK, is probably the only time Wakanda was ever invaded sucessfully, and the Wakandans still were able to drive them back into the ocean eventually. Looks like I have some comics to read insofar as I dont know what exactly happened in that storyline but its gonna be a fun read!

Chandwick was such a beautiful light in our world that his memory even briefly touched on in a small trailer still is causing tears across the country well after his death
If you guys remember, Killmonger's last wish was to be buried in the sea, where his ancestors jumped from the ships to avoid slavery, and I love that this new Wakanda film features some elements of a type of Atlantis kind of tribe probably hidden from the world, maybe even from Wakanda, and I'm not a comic reader of Marvel, but this is a really cool idea, and the trailer looked like it was made with love

As a child of a Nigerian and Egyptian parents I saw quite a few things that I immediately identified. Like the scene with the all white garments during a loss from death/passing and the mother not being in that scene.
I freaking bawled watching this trailer and I'm ready to be spiritually broken down and then rebuilt by this film.

I’m assuming Namor wants to take over wakanda for its resources and the queen feels powerless to defend it without tchalla but that’s where shuri comes in at the end. It’s very well done. Should be a great film.
i heard they introduce dr doom in this film and he sends some of his goons to look for vibranium and accidentally causes a war between atlantis and vibranium. could be another civil war type story because namor isnt a villain

Given the type of actor Michael B Jordan is, it would be a disservice to the movie not to include him. It was unnecessary to kill T'Challa. Devastating to black boys who looked up to him, and to the character. Plenty other ways to honor Chadwick Boseman.
@Thomas Kearse So no other black male actor is fit to continue the role? There are other ways to honor Chadwick without harming the fictional super hero. If Tom Holland passed away after his first Spiderman movie they would NOT kill Peter Parker in the sequel.

@Thomas Kearse No it wasn't especially since Chadwick Bosmean family has said that the best way to honor Chadwick was to continue his work by letting another talented black actor take on the role of T'Challa. Derrick Boseman has done several interviews saying that Chadwick would never have wanted T'Challa killed off. Derrick also stated that no one in the studio, including Ryan Coogler, ever reached out to the family about what they thought was the best way to honor Chadwick. So in essence the studio is using Chadwick Boseman's name to sell this movie pretending they are honoring him. Its almost like they are exploiting his death. And the family never gave them permission to use Chadwicks' real life death as plot for the movie.
Also in the comics when Shuri becomes Black Panther it's only temporary because, A. T'Challa is in a coma and B. She gets killed a little while after becoming the Black Panther. T'Challa eventually wakes up from his coma and they both share the mantle. But shortly after Proxima Midnight attacks Wakanda and kills Shuri. T'Challa brings her back to life and Shuri gives up the mantle.
Showing Chadwicks painting really got an emotional feel😥

No trailer has ever made me cry before but this is an exception,the shots,the camera work,the songs,the reveal of atlantis nd iron heart,and the tribute to our beloved CHADWICK,uffff🙂again at the same time it is a sequel to the first black panther movie.
