You need to visit Wicker Park and Logan Square next time you’re in the city! Best restaurants IMO in Chicago: Avec, Giant, Galit, Gilt Bar, Yuzu Sushi (they do sushi art), Small Cheval, Andros Taverna, Monteverde, Girl and the Goat, Ciccio Mio

Next time go to the Dog Beach! You may not have your pups but plenty of other dogs running free (and some trying to escape lol) to play with! I was trying to leave the gated area and a huge gentle giant, almost looked like a massive German Shepherd, kept eyeing the gate waiting to make his move. I held him back with his collar looking for the owner. Finally when I had to leave 2 girls came in and I said, "can you watch him, he's trying to get out." And they said sure! Went up and started hugging him by the neck and he started playing with them. I LOVE DOGS!! You should totally get a place in Chicago. I love the big city vibe we have but on a smaller more chill scale than New York :P
