I got accepted back in April and completely ignored it not even knowing it had this sort of potential. I've been uploading designs on other POD sites the whole time and just watched a video today looking for more tips and they were saying this is the way to go. Good thing I saw that video because I was only 13 days away from my merch account being terminated. Sheeez! Great video, man. A lot of good info here.

Hey Glen! After one sells their first 25 T-shirts, how long does Amazon take to tier you up to the 100 tier? Is it Automatic?
It isn't automatic and they have been behind and a little slow to tier people up, I am not sure if they changed the next tier to 50 after 25.
I'm not yet accepted to Merch, but I'm really excited for when I do! I have a lot of designs ready to go and already on Spreadshirt and Redbubble. Great video and I have learnt a lot from your channel, thank you!

Hello I have a quick question..just got an email from Amazon Merch they said I can not approve me until I provide tax and bank information. Is this the norm? And do you think this means I am approved after 5 long months of waiting?
This video was so helpful! I have just gotten into Amazon Merch around the middle of March. I have 10 designs that are uploaded. I have put a couple on Pinterest and some on my FB page. I haven't had any sales as of yet. I know they pull them after 90 days now. Not to be discouraging, but what if NONE of them sell within that period? Do I just start over again with 10 new ones? I have been doing the "see what's trending" and what's out there. A lot of sports stuff and Star Wars, etc. Most of those designs are trademarked and copyrighted. So, I will do as you suggest and try and find things on Merch, Etsy and other platforms to get ideas! Thanks so much for making the video! It kept me motivated! LOL!
Hi Rosanna! Glad I could motivate you! They will take down the shirts and you can start again with 10 new designs. Keep doing your research and coming up with ideas, the first batch many not have sold but alot of trial and error happens in the first stage.

Thanks! For keywords, I don't even put anything in the description and I put at least a couple of like words (from the niche) in the title and try to for a couple of sentences using them in the bullet points. I just use thesaurus.com and get similar words. Nothing to crazy..

I would have a decent price of $14-$16 range but nothing too low or to high, just something good for now to try to tier up

When you search a phrase and a trademark pops up but is listed as dead, does that mean it's fair game? also if you just ads or change a word to not exactly match something with a live trademark, is that okay?

hey glen what file format do does amazon need the designs in? im pretty good with photoshop but i have zero adobe illustrator experience. i plan on learning but in the mean time can i use files made in photoshop like PNGs/PDFs?
They are 4500 px by 5400 px, transparent png files. So yep, Photoshop can get the job done as well.

it looks like you are arabic i will talk in both languages arabic and english so everyone understands i will start with english/الغة الأنجليزية : you should wait and make designs based on holidays or events you can also make shirts about dogs/cats or cute animals
arabic/الغة العربية : يجب عليك ان تنتظر و ان تصنع تصاميم عن الأجازات او الأعياد يمكنك ايضا ان تصنع تصاميم عن القطط او الكلاب او اي حيوانات

I'm sure you're asked this question a lot, but what's the approval wait time looking like right now? Does it seriously vary from person to person or is it generally 3-6 months?
It's general 3-6 month, Someone in our Merch Minds group got in after waiting 1 year, I know a guy that has been waiting about 8 months. I am not too sure what they base the waiting time on.

You can try upwork for designers or through local colleges, lots of them have Facebook groups and you can see if you can hire a student and they can also build up their portfolio, so it's a win-win
Why does my designs keep being rejected? I checked the trademark websites and they don't have any for the phrases I have in my designs

Hi, I was trying to submit a request for invitation on Merch By Amazon but it is requiring an Organization Name which from my understanding is an existing registered business but I do not have one. Would you please let me know if there's a workaround? Thank you.
If you are already selling on Amazon you can use your seller name / store name.

Hello! You recommend not copying the design, but what about taking a design and changing the color and background of the design?
That is still using someones design. So you can do this... If a shirt says "I love Dogs" instead of using their design and changing colors you can use the idea of "I Love Dogs" but design it in your way and your graphics.

I would mix in different niches. I would go with 3-3-4 in three different niches so you can see what is working.

I am having trouble as in what design software do you use? What is free, What is worth the price?
I use Adobe Illustrator, it is great for design, easier to use and you can save them ready to go for png files to upload. I have never used any of the free software, I believe Margaret (Texas Gal Treasures) has, she has done well, but I am not sure what she uses.
A combination of Pic Monkey and GIMP 2.8 on the free side you can piecemeal together some ok shirts. Agree with Glenn check out Texas Gal Treasures she has some good tips for Pic Monkey.

Thanks for the tips. Still researching trying to figure out what works. We have some fun designs up now but zero traction. Is it better to title your brand for the shirts to match up with the theme of the shirt? For example, if you have a robot shirt would you brand it Robot Shirts or would you go with your general brand, in our case, CuteMonster? It's $50 for the full cloud but if you just need Illustrator it is $20, thanks for noticing that 👍
if you are an educator or student, you can get the whole creative cloud suite for $20/mo (without the stock photo service). you need a school email or paystub or transcript, etc.
just started and i noticed my shirts are displayed as a womens shirts and with my least fav color choice. please help
It sucks but Amazon chooses sizes and colors at Random until a clear color and size starts to snowball in sales then they will feature just that one shirt as the main photo.
