The Spyderco Ronin 2 is a direct descendant of the Yojimbo 2 both of which are designed by Martial Blade Concepts creator, Michael Janich. The Ronin 2 is built to be easy to carry and to deliver the most efficient cutting performance.
The wharncliffe style hollow ground blade cuts like a razor but still has significant thickness at the spine and tip of the blade giving it plenty of strength for piercing. This knife is light, fast, and sharp with a ton of cutting power in a relatively small package.

Tyler, your overview videos are my favorites. I like your in depth descriptions. And the videos are thorough. 👍
Thanks for the kind words.👍
And i like his calm voice, better than any tea :-P
getting this beast for my birthday
Audio is up and running!
I got the Ronin2 my only disappointment is the CTS BD1 steel is not rust resistant even after oiling the back of the handle lightly rust was forming along the edges of the handle! So i had to spray on a thick layer oil to prevent rusting!!! And need to keep tabs now then incase oil drys up...
Sorry to hear of your experience with BD1. I've used BD1 quite a bit with minimal maintainence and no issues with corrosion resistance so YMMV. It could be that your environment is near salt water or has high humidity.
Try camellia oil. Doesn’t dry up easy and good protectant against rust when carrying daily.
@@honaypie Ohh Thanks 4 your suggestion! Yesss my country has high humidity so I stored it in a cooler room without direct sunlight shining in every day n this has stopped the handle edge rust !!!
If I have to stab someone I think I would prefer it to be a rusty knife.
Cool blade, but for anyone who owns the Yojimbo 2, I can't see the need.
+sturmgewehr70 The designs are extremely similar. That said some users appreciate the speed of access and reliability of a fixed blade. Different tools for different applications.
Opening a pocket knife under stress works about 70-80% of the time. Fixed blade works 100% of the time
