I'm really excited to own this phone. A perfect secondary phone for emergency. Smartphone's batteries won't last a day but this little thing can last a month on a single charge.
I am fed up of wifi eating my phone (s7 edge) battery I am fed up of facebook and insta notifications. Probably by this.

Good morning! I bought the Nokia 3310 cell phone recently, but it's the fake version. It came inside a box like the one you're showing in your video. Even though my cell phone is a Chinese copy, it works very well. I feel happy with it. If I travel abroad in the near future, I'll try to buy an original one. In Venezuela, we can only find Chinese copies. Your description taught me how to identify the real Nokia 3310 Cell Phone. Thanks a lot for your help!!!

They are two completely different phones and they already explained why they removed the headphone jack
well apple need to take stuff away in order to sell you a peripheral that will bring back that feature.

If this thing runs spotify it's gonna be pretty dope for workouts and stuff. Carrying my note 4 to the gym is kinda annoying tbh.

Of course you can, it has an SD card, the convenience of spotify lies in the streaming part though. Discovering new music without having to download it for example or just putting a workout playlist and forgetting about it.

Spotify lets you download the music that you find directly on to your phone's SD card . I just like it because it's convenient. Music downloading and streaming all in one. Most gym's have wifi so it makes perfect sense.
Internet connection is 2.5G with no WLAN. Won't run Spotify, Whatsapp or whatever you might need

On many other Nokia Series 30+ phones (back when it was under the Microsoft license), there is a limitation of 25 stored SMSs and 25 stored calendar items at a time, you can't set custom per-caller ringtones, and the bluetooth didn't worth with headsets. Did they get rid of these restrictions in the 3310?
I have it for the last one month. I use it only for calling. the battery lasts for one week. I like it.
I would like to know if there is a good way to sync contacts and calendar with the PC or services like iCloud. At least import them.
Is there a software like nokia pc suite?
Whats the quality of the audio out? Even with other phones other than the stock phones.

Actually in 2019 i wouldnt mind having this phone , i like the nostalgic 3310s as long as it has blue tooth and a dim card for music. I dont have to worry about social media lol

Would wifi and a qwerty keyboard along with support for basic apps like what's app and soundcloud have been too difficult to fit in it? Those would have made the phone actually practical in 2017!

I hope they didn't add CAMERA. The design is ok but i wish they settled for super basic phone like the original 3310. Most of the peiple nowadays have smartphones and camera in the new 3310 will be useless. Ill buy this one for texting and calling only

2G only phone, hope they don't switch off the service by 2020 in the UK. 2G is still useful for users that want privacy and a phone just for necessity . Will it be a wasted investment in buying an new phone with just old 2G support?

Not quite sure what this phone is all about. I had the original Nokia 3310 in I think 2000 and it was an amazing phone. The 2017 release of the 3310 is a slap in the face to that amazing phone.
The 2017 version really highlights why Nokia went from being an amazing company to a non entitie in the mobile world. It just lost the plot when it come to what people wanted. Nokia should of kept to the original design both inside out as much as possible, it wasn't broke so it didn't need fixing.
The whole point of wanting to own a retro phone is just that, it's owning as close to what you remember, it's owning something that was a classic in its time, they did sell 126 million after all. This phone from what I can see bares absolutely no resemblance to what I remember the 3310 being.
I don't see Nokia hitting sales of 126 million handsets with this phone, in fact I find it sad that Nokia felt the desire to steal the well earned name and honour that the original 3310 earnt and give it to this monstrosity. It's almost screams of desperation. Another fail from Nokia. At least their consistent.

Is it possible to turn off the startup sound when you turn it on?
Do you know if you can access text message history as there doesn't appear to be an inbox or sentbox and only the last message, either sent or received, for a contact is shown? I could find no settings which would alter this.
Just realised that if you access the last message from the contact and select "choose" then you have the message history for that contact. I spent an age to find that out!
Does the phone have to be switched on for the alarm to work?

I know it's a little late but I'm on T-Mobile and my 3310 is ok but with the 3G there is many dead spots I find with mine .
