Exactly. Multiversus fans can be super delusional sometimes when most people were just being realistic about the game and its chances. Like I literally saw one huge content creator compare it to street fighter 6, guilty gear, and tekkan 8 player counts. Idk what’s happening with MVS, but there’s a lack of polish that the Beta did better. The UI is disgustingly boring and the transitions are buggy. MultiVersus is just sloppily put together as a whole and I want it, so bad, to see changes in Season 2

The game is fun and I get a good amount of fair matches against good connections. The big issues for me are the absurd grind for the rifts, slow rewards, fighters being locked behind a currency that is very hard to get, new characters not releasing at a faster pace than the beta, no ranked definitely the biggest one, no leaderboards, top dog challenge sucks, everything is overpriced, lack of features still for custom games like doing stocks for ffa with friends instead of kills. Plus mojo fucking Jojo needs to be disabled completely. Also is there even a game chat with players in the same party??

Casual player here. Yeah we care. 2v2 is unplayable because the lag is absurd. Not to mention Banana Guard doesn't make the game fun. I could mention hundreds of more reasons of why we care and why we think the beta was better. Now pro players obviously don't think like us but aye, can't do anything about that.
That point of rebranding themselves as a new and improved experience with a flashy new character for season 2 was exactly what they did with the relaunch of the game. Honestly I don’t know why you felt the need to speak on behalf of everyone when it comes to Agent Smith and if people even like him. Outside of the fact his inclusion in the game single handedly made me binge all the Matrix movies, that franchise is still beloved by many people today, especially those in the queer community. Also just because he isn’t the protagonist doesn’t mean he isn’t a popular character, people love their villains, which, you know, was the main theme for this season. Also the point that casual players aren’t being catered to via new characters is just factually incorrect. We got 3/4 well known characters this season, and sure they’re probably not what most people were hoping for, but people for the most part are happy they’re in the game regardless. On top of this season 2 is going to include more popularly requested characters, so yeah, L take all things considered on that front. I’m not touching on the technical stuff like balancing or any of that, this is my first fighting game experience, and I’m definitely not interested in the whole competitive aspect, but as for the casual player experience, from what I can tell at least, most people are enjoying themselves just fine…as long as the servers aren’t shitting themselves.

There’s no chance there are only 10k playing MultiVersus. 24 hour peak on steam is right near 5k. Then you’ve got the PC players that play through the Epic Launcher instead of Steam so that’s probably another couple thousand. So now we’re already at 7k just from PC. Honestly the console numbers are likely higher than PC numbers, but we’ll just assume 7k on Xbox and 7k on PlayStation as well. So even with conservative numbers that’s over 20k players. Honestly it’s prob in the 30k-40k range though if I had to bet. But yeah, numbers are trending down no doubt about that.
I just want ranked and all characters to be balanced like in smash bros. I also think there needs to be more characters and when your a new player let them choose there first character or make it easier for them to get characters

Without ranked and no way to check mmr on the unranked, the motivation to compete is gone. Releasing without stats and ranked and no mmr was disappointing, and I just only keep playing with hopium that ranked is coming soon. Hold up, that talk about Agent Smith not being a good addition is CAP 🧢. He is probably about just as iconic as Neo, but they do not wanna put neo in this season because they needed to do villains this season (except banana guard but who cares). Definitely one of the more iconic villains to choose from in their entire arsenal. A lot of people love Agent Smith rn. The problem is people don't have him via rifts which is making people wait. Also that whole talk about season 2 being in a couple months is just honestly not true most likely. There have already been several datamines of Samurai Jack, Beetlejuice, Aquaman, and even the Powerpuff Girls. Not to mention the next rift is supposed to be a Samurai Jack rift and most people are done with the battle pass honestly. I'm pretty sure this season will end when Agent Smith releases to everybody. They are also coming up with ranked soon and that will be season two and again season 2 is right around the corner. Also I think the game has a dedicated player base that will support the game no matter what even if it is not huge. That's the difference between Multiversus and the NASB series. NASB fans just abandoned the game to leave it to a ghost town while Multiversus. Also I just feel like videos like this don't help the game either, they just cause negativity to start to spur and the pressure on the devs and stressed devs are not good. So I would sit back and let them cook. The game is already much better than it came back in but they are not finished yet. I'd argue the devs are trying to push the game in the right direction. Casual player here. Yeah we care. 2v2 is unplayable because the lag is absurd. Not to mention Banana Guard doesn't make the game fun. I could mention hundreds of more reasons of why we care and why we think the beta was better. Now pro players obviously don't think like us but aye, can't do anything about that.
As a casual player I want all the characters to be balanced. Because some characters are just cancerous to fight

That point of rebranding themselves as a new and improved experience with a flashy new character for season 2 was exactly what they did with the relaunch of the game. It's just that the game itself was pretty bad. I'm not really sure if this game can be saved by adding some out of left field character to try and gather attention.

The game is definitely unbalanced but it’s still fun to play. I’ve seen every matrix movie so was pretty hype to hear agent smith was coming to the game. Tho my first thought was why not Neo? 😢 hopefully they start adding bigger names to the roster

Honestly I don’t know why you felt the need to speak on behalf of everyone when it comes to Agent Smith and if people even like him. Outside of the fact his inclusion in the game single handedly made me binge all the Matrix movies, that franchise is still beloved by many people today, especially those in the queer community. Also just because he isn’t the protagonist doesn’t mean he isn’t a popular character, people love their villains, which, you know, was the main theme for this season.
Also the point that casual players aren’t being catered to via new characters is just factually incorrect. We got 3/4 well known characters this season, and sure they’re probably not what most people were hoping for, but people for the most part are happy they’re in the game regardless. On top of this season 2 is going to include more popularly requested characters, so yeah, L take all things considered on that front.
I’m not touching on the technical stuff like balancing or any of that, this is my first fighting game experience, and I’m definitely not interested in the whole competitive aspect, but as for the casual player experience, from what I can tell at least, most people are enjoying themselves just fine…as long as the servers aren’t shitting themselves.

your opinions are horrible, but the game is slow not going to lie. keep in mind that the game needs time to balance/work on/create/code/get the rights to all the characters being added. + not knowing who agent smith is and not seen the matrix movies is crazy. (season 1 is Puns & Villainy and agent smith is a villain)

However, I really don't find a lot of what was discussed in this video, or frankly your past ones as well, very productive for the community. To say the game is "dead" is a huge reach. Yes, PFG definitely can do a lot more to keep people more invested into Multiversus. 100%, no argument there. But to say something like that "no one" is excited for Agent Smith.. like that is just straight up wrong. I wish the best for your channel, truly, been watching for a while, but more optimism on the game would serve you well.

There’s no chance there are only 10k playing MultiVersus.
24 hour peak on steam is right near 5k. Then you’ve got the PC players that play through the Epic Launcher instead of Steam so that’s probably another couple thousand. So now we’re already at 7k just from PC. Honestly the console numbers are likely higher than PC numbers, but we’ll just assume 7k on Xbox and 7k on PlayStation as well.
So even with conservative numbers that’s over 20k players. Honestly it’s prob in the 30k-40k range though if I had to bet.
But yeah, numbers are trending down no doubt about that.
I just want ranked and all characters to be balanced like in smash bros. I also think there needs to be more characters and when your a new player let them choose there first character or make it easier for them to get characters

Without ranked and no way to check mmr on the unranked, the motivation to compete is gone. Releasing without stats and ranked and no mmr was disappointing, and I just only keep playing with hopium that ranked is coming soon. Agree pretty much 100% with everything else you said in video, except I do think Agent Smith is kinda cool but I was a Matrix movie fan (original first movie was amazing)

Hold up, that talk about Agent Smith not being a good addition is CAP 🧢. He is probably about just as iconic as Neo, but they do not wanna put neo in this season because they needed to do villains this season (except banana guard but who cares). Definitely one of the more iconic villains to choose from in their entire arsenal. A lot of people love Agent Smith rn. The problem is people don't have him via rifts which is making people wait. Also that whole talk about season 2 being in a couple months is just honestly not true most likely. There have already been several datamines of Samurai Jack, Beetlejuice, Aquaman, and even the Powerpuff Girls. Not to mention the next rift is supposed to be a Samurai Jack rift and most people are done with the battle pass honestly. I'm pretty sure this season will end when Agent Smith releases to everybody. They are also coming up with ranked soon and that will be season two and again season 2 is right around the corner. Also I think the game has a dedicated player base that will support the game no matter what even if it is not huge. That's the difference between Multiversus and the NASB series. NASB fans just abandoned the game to leave it to a ghost town while Multiversus. Also I just feel like videos like this don't help the game either, they just cause negativity to start to spur and the pressure on the devs and stressed devs are not good. So I would sit back and let them cook. The game is already much better than it came back in but they are not finished yet. I'd argue the devs are trying to push the game in the right direction.
Edit: Even the devs said the season is coming next week so that specific comment of two months is even more goofy now 😂

Skill based match making is horrible outside of ranked. The better you get the better your opponents get, so you would be spending the entire time sweating, rather than losing some bad games, and completely winning others.
