THREE Lake Tahoe Area ADVENTURES in ONE DAY! Fallen Leaf Lake Kayaking + Glen Alpine Falls + Hiking

Join us as we go on 3 South Lake Tahoe area adventures in 1 day! Our final day of adventuring took us to Fallen Leaf Lake for a morning of paddling our kayak from the Fallen Leaf Marina. Afterward we ate lunch out of the back of our adventuremobile and then shopped the Fallen Leaf General Store where we got some artsy souvenirs for Husbandburger's birthday. Next we continued up the road to Glen Alpine Falls. It was super gushy and it was spectacular! Feeling the mist on our bodies and soaking our sore feet in its frigid waters were invigorating! Then it was up to Lily Lake and the Glen Alpine Trailhead in the Desolation Wilderness for a short hike. We only had about half a mile in us (at most) but what a half mile it was! We discovered some unexpected and amazing views and hiked through a mountain stream to get there. This was an unforgettable trip and we would definitely recommend these destinations to anyone looking to adventure in the South Lake Tahoe area. Let us know if you try out any of these adventures. What an awesome day you two had! I started and ended my loop backpacking trip this past weekend at a parking lot right next to Lily Lake. I had good karma from picking up a PCT hitch hiker on my way to the trailhead and got to ride in the back of someone's pickup from the parking lot all the way to Glen Alpine Resort, thus eliminating a mile of walking uphill on a gravel road.
