The most exspensive option on a car is an option that's available for the 918 spyder. If you tick a certain box, you'll pay an extra 173,000$ for a 911/991 turbo that matches your 918. It's called the porsche 911 turbo s "Edition 918 Spyder"

start/stop on a Ferrari?? At first i was thinking the buyer just have expensive tastes but after seeing him added the start/stop, im beginning to think he pretty much just checks off everything on the options list just cuz he can and want to show off....
A lot of those options are actually well priced compared to other high end companies.

Weissach package on the upcoming Porsche 918 is $84k, and some paint options are like $63k. add both to your 918 and you've spent nearly as much on those 2 options than that Ferrari's.
Maybe the only 'must-have' option on a 458 ;)

you really don't need all the luxury stuff in this kind of car..not gonna drive it everyday, (its just a toy car) if one can get this car for 160k used, it is a very reasonable price.

Well, at least the options can make the 458 faster since so much parts got swapped into carbon fiber :)
So basically you just get the base kit when you first buy the car and then you make it drivable for another 100k

There's a difference between a Ferrari and a Nissan, Ferrari is obviously is a lot more due to its exclusiveness, cars aren't always aren't about performance, you see a worked Supra come down the street and you'll say oh that's pretty sweet, sounds good, you see a Ferrari stroll down and you'll drop your jaw and start to admire it.

Finer things? Lol, what i've noticed with many Ferraris is that, a lot of parts that are expensive/optional in a Ferrari, come standard on "regular poor joe" cars and even in other exotics. And it's not even exclusive lol, everything being optioned is old tech/can be fabricated for a fraction of the price or simply just bought elsewhere.

I think it's easy to get caught up in what rich people spend while we will never be able to have that life style. I would enjoy building an fd rx7 with an ls motor more than actually having this car. Plus when you are done with it, it will have the same performance and only run you ~$30000.

to be honest if you're buying a Ferrari you'd have plenty of money to spare, and buying a stripped version without any of the cospetic bits and bobs is not an option.
Though IMHO some options are pointless, there's far too much carbon fibre, a lot of people would actually prefer the supple Italian leather seats than carbon fibre crap - far too overused IMO.
The carbon fibre bits in the intake are probably pointless too.
