They’re great games, and standouts in the franchise, there’s a reason why plutonium BO2 and iw4x still have populations, we have nostalgia cause we enjoyed playing the games

ironsight is fun as hell. It brings back the stiffness of older CoD titles and the gunplay is very solid aswell. Its to bad that the dev team seem to be going on and off with the development
Real? Honestly played this game quite a long time ago I thought they shut down the servers for it even. Might come back to it again, I'm still looking for something to fill the void that Blacklight Retribution left behind.
The Devs update and patch the game constantly. It's even up to Season 7 of Battle Pass (finishing very soon), with Season 8 on the way. The game was quite popular at one point when Aeria Games were publishing it, but back in 2020 they decided to pull the pin on it and the Devs (Wiple, who contractually had an Asia-only version on Steam at the time) opened their version up globally, opening new servers to replace those that Aeria closed. A huge portion of the player base believed the game died when Aeria closed their servers as it wasn't really expressed clearly by Aeria/Gamigo that the Devs were going global with their version. It's a shame, but even with what seems like a very small player base you can find matches quickly. The main issue is you may constantly get lumped in with far more experienced players than perhaps you should if you are a newish player. Is what it is with a smaller player base. If you've got a CoD background though, Ironsight will feel like home!

I want a situation like this, where some devs want to play an old game again, and so they just blatantly rip it off, to happen with SOCOM. We kind of had it with H-Hour, and some of the guys who made SOCOM worked on it, but... That game is just horrible. Apparently a new SOCOM game is being shown off this year though so I hope that's true.
Same thing happened with Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon and SWAT 4. We want games that keep the original style of the series, we don't receive it, so the creators went ahead to make their own like Ground Branch (made by the original devs of R6 and GR) and Ready Or Not (made by fans of SWAT 4).
as much as I love the COD4 to BO2 era of call of duty, I'm kinda glad that MW2019 didn't feel like the old games. the gunplay i would argue feels like it if not better imo. maps were more open without feeling too big like in ghosts. its almost like the old games but is still its own thing.
MW19 was a game you either really loved or completely hated. I could never get into it personally. The engine looks and feels great. But other than that there’s nothing that makes me wanna play that game. Of the last 3 CODs tho it would be the one I would choose to play if I had to pick.
MW19 brought me back to CoD big time, while I can see why people dislike the slower pace and map layouts, I personally loved it. It made learning maps and where to anticipate gunfights more of a challenge, but that's more engaging to me. I also love Vanguard's MP for the same reason Jarek stated, its basically more MW19 (but faster-paced with the lobby options) with a retro-futuristic WW2 skin. Roll on MW'22, can't wait to see what other changes the IW team have for the franchise.
Trust me and Jarek and anyone else who has poured lots of time into this game, its really fucking good. also as a side note for anyone who wants to download: this game will give you lots and lots of credits from challenges and ranking up. you will most likely (if you get lucky enough) have almost all weapons unlocked and ready to use after only a few hours. There are crates in this game but I would say they are just kinda there and dont ruin any sort of progression. And occasionally you will get those from ranking up. There is even a daily reward system that gives you a time limited weapon, exp/credits booster, a cosmetic. I only put about 20$ into the game just cuz I enjoy the game so much and was like "eh might as well get this fancy weapon skin" Even the weapon variants dont do anything balance wise to guns; just a fancy skin with a different flashier reload. Right now on steam i have put maybe about 124 hours and before it was on steam about 100 hours. I honestly cant believe a F2P pvp shooter somehow isnt P2W.
I installed Ironsight for the first time like 3 days ago. Then i've seen the H416 reload animation. Aaaaand it's my new favourite fps game for now. It's just cool asf ❤️👌

In fact, I just got matched into a round with you! It was actually really cool 'cause I was having a shitty day so it was really great to see you show up in a lobby just by chance... It was a little less great when I did the video game equivalent of pissing my pants and bottom scored below a guy who just installed the game. I love watching your Ironsight videos. It reminds me of BO2 so much. My favorite COD MPs are MW2, BO2, MW2019 and Cold War. Was not a fan of MW3 or BO4.
Loved ironsight for years when it was under aeria games but holy shit did they miss manage it. Highly recommend if you haven't played it though. Definitely my favorite F2P shooter that's been made

When I first tried Ironsight a while ago, I was really turned off because I wanted certain guns, but it took forever to get the credits to permanently buy them. But if the economy has changed since then and is as good as you say, I'll definitely have to give it another try. Also I'm pretty sure support streaks are from MW3, I used to run those because I was bad at the game. I'm just glad MW2019 still has a decent player base. Everyone came back after Cold War and Vanguard released busted as hell.

You might also like promod, it's in early alpha and you can request access on steam and they check it and give access out a few times a month typically. It's a recreation of COD4 promod in unreal engine, and my god it's some black magic. They're really close to the exact feel of the movement and gunplay. There's some marketplace placeholder weapons in it still right now from some sci-fi stuff, but they've been focusing on nailing down the movement and gunplay first, and it shows.
This game looks so damn smooth and simple. People keep wanting 3 lane maps but Treyarch seems to no longer be able to make good ones because they take it so literal. 3 lane maps in Cold War for example are almost literally 3 lanes with no real flank routes and areas. Maps also miss the small little elements of details that make them standout and different. 3 lane maps in recent COD games feel almost all the same in different environments.

Gun feeling in CoD games (since CoD4 to pre-new Modern Warfare - which is awesome but different) is just perfect, i would say only original DooM (and it's many mods) and FEAR had equally legendary shooting mechanics - it's pretty much one of three archetypes of fps gun feeling. I wish to see one day some crazy cold war black ops themed open world fps with CoD mechanics and Black Ops style
Man I'm glad this video came up in my recommendations definitely needed it. I fell off with the COD franchise at ghosts then picked it up with MW2019, and that was when it felt like cod was back and refreshing. I know it's not a popular opinion but I had fun with Cold War, but Vanguard right now is borderline unplayable for me, not in a gameplay sense but in a technical way, when it works, it's fine I've had fun in a few matches, there was an article somewhere saying that the development of Vanguard was all over the place, it makes sense why the game doesn't feel right and has so many issues. I'm looking forward to trying this game out, it really looks like it gives off black ops2 vibes which was one of my favourite COD games. I love the fact that the maps look so memorable, almost nostalgia like. Is the game updated regularly and have a decent amount of content ? Really interested to try this out. I was too young to play the MW1 to Black Ops 2 COD's, but i still really like MW2019's multiplayer and campaign, and its still my favorite COD to this day.
Ironsights was the game for me back in 2017 when I couldn't afford a COD game back then. Now, it's fun to jump into once in a while. Unfortunately, it takes a while for me to even find some matches now than it was 4 years ago. Though, I still prefer Vanguard in my opinion, but this game is great fro those who prefer the more grounded nature of the older COD games.

The COD4 era was the gold standard. MW2 is my favorite but damn WAW holds a special place in my heart. I never would have guessed you liked COD multiplayer. I have a weird relationship with it like I’ve been playing since COD3 and I’m not a fan of the newer games but nothing has the same feel. For me I periodically go “oh yeah cod multiplayer is a thing” and I’ll play it a bunch then abruptly stop and go back to other games. It’s like comfort gaming. 10:46 THANK YOU!!!
Normally I'd side with CoD simply because it's one of the few franchises left that still gives a damn about it's PvE base. But surprisingly, Ironsight seems to have bots too. It's even listed as "Single Player" on the Steam page. That is a huge plus for me. Also loving the Black Ops Ii aesthetic.
It's recently got voice chat, and has a bunch of maps and a lot of guns...5 bolt action snipers as well for sniper lovers and the maps are black ops 2 like. Plus nothings p2w, anything you buy its only cosmetic, its a real gem of a cod few know about. Only issue is, when there's some netcode issues when there's high ping players but other than that, its solid through and through, and has a really good roadmap up ahead.
I played this game for quite sometimes now, I even record a video of my gameplay and upload it to CZcams, my first video on CZcams is Ironsight, but after that first video I stopped, I kinda bored playing it, I played it since it was not yet on Steam, but maybe I comeback again to this game sometimes in the future.
Iron sights was an impulse download because me and a friend were looking for something to play because we got bored with cold war and we've had lots of fun

I'm a console gamer (PS5) and I would definitely be interested in playing this if it gets ported. The amount of BO2 maps I recognized is making me nostalgic.
You know what I wish they brought back? Firing range in the create a class while loading up a lobby. Those terrible CoDs had that and it was the best option! Just setting up my guns in the firing range while my friends decided what mode we were gonna load into.
This game is insane, And yes. the sniping is the same, if not more broken then bo2 quick scoping, thankyou so much for bringing light to this game, it really is one of the hidden games that should've exploded after COD's failure. its one of those games you can hop on and chuck you tube in the background and just have some satisfying fun, and it genuinely has been so much more fun then the newer cods since your not playing like you've got a gun to your head every single game the good players are at the top and you learn quickly just like bo2, it runs incredibly well (*3060 300+fps capped) And 0 SBMM and even for AUS there seems to be good community behind the game as well, and progression, at least 2h in seems extremely fair and they set you up quite well in the beginning and everything is extremely reachable but you can always buy skins and camos if you really want to.

That means that the fuck up is mostly on EA not just DICE, sure DICE putting the game out like that is still bad but EA not giving DICE the time to polish it is even worse than DICE putting out an unpolished product, and EA is the PARENT company to DICE, if the parents not held accountable then they're just going to keep doing this crap like they have with past Battlefield games, and they already got one beating after Battlefront 2's P2W fiasco.

Thanks man you GET IT! Last truly truly great COD was BO2! I enjoyed BO3 MP and IW but they were not COD. MW19 was great but most of the maps sucked (Hackney Yard, Gun runner, Shoothouse and Cheshire Park being the exceptions) Also so many FPS devs forget the gun is your character. Yes having a cool protagonist is awesome but the guns and gameplay are the real stars in any FPS game.
Excellent review! I wish I knew the name of the track that starts playing at 4:39 though (let's just say it has lots of similarities to UT2004's track 'Corrugation Rise', and boy I love this track out there).
Black Ops 2 was the last game where I had tons of fun, and I even put enough time in to get diamond skins for everything. After that, it’s like all the fun was sucked out of the games
Gunplay feels less polished than COD, but I like how the fact that it's pretty much a COD game that has long term support and development, allows it to add a lot of content over time

Plutonium and IW4X are great but the fact that servers run 9v9 instead of 6v6 is annoying.

I played the hell out of this game during the 2020 quarantine, it really is a Black ops II free to play. Gunplay and movement are amazing.
Props to the animators on those "tacticool" reloads on the special camo guns. More shooters should do this.

I know it's not a popular opinion but I had fun with Cold War, but Vanguard right now is borderline unplayable for me, not in a gameplay sense but in a technical way, when it works, it's fine I've had fun in a few matches, there was an article somewhere saying that the development of Vanguard was all over the place, it makes sense why the game doesn't feel right and has so many issues. I'm looking forward to trying this game out, it really looks like it gives off black ops2 vibes which was one of my favourite COD games. I love the fact that the maps look so memorable, almost nostalgia like. Is the game updated regularly and have a decent amount of content ? Really interested to try this out. Thanks dude always loved the videos about time you show up in my recommendations again !

I was too young to play the MW1 to Black Ops 2 COD's, but i still really like MW2019's multiplayer and campaign, and its still my favorite COD to this day.
I thought the servers shut down for this in 2020?

Ironsights was the game for me back in 2017 when I couldn't afford a COD game back then. Now, it's fun to jump into once in a while. Unfortunately, it takes a while for me to even find some matches now than it was 4 years ago.
Though, I still prefer Vanguard in my opinion, but this game is great fro those who prefer the more grounded nature of the older COD games.
Definitely give it another shot, if youre on NA servers you shouldnt have a problem finding a game🤙

The COD4 era was the gold standard. MW2 is my favorite but damn WAW holds a special place in my heart. I never would have guessed you liked COD multiplayer. I have a weird relationship with it like I’ve been playing since COD3 and I’m not a fan of the newer games but nothing has the same feel. For me I periodically go “oh yeah cod multiplayer is a thing” and I’ll play it a bunch then abruptly stop and go back to other games. It’s like comfort gaming.

I have 80 hours on ironsight since you uploaded this video and it has been great thank you for the recommendation.
Normally I'd side with CoD simply because it's one of the few franchises left that still gives a damn about it's PvE base. But surprisingly, Ironsight seems to have bots too. It's even listed as "Single Player" on the Steam page. That is a huge plus for me. Also loving the Black Ops Ii aesthetic.
It's recently got voice chat, and has a bunch of maps and a lot of guns...5 bolt action snipers as well for sniper lovers and the maps are black ops 2 like. Plus nothings p2w, anything you buy its only cosmetic, its a real gem of a cod few know about. Only issue is, when there's some netcode issues when there's high ping players but other than that, its solid through and through, and has a really good roadmap up ahead.

I played this game for quite sometimes now, I even record a video of my gameplay and upload it to CZcams, my first video on CZcams is Ironsight, but after that first video I stopped, I kinda bored playing it, I played it since it was not yet on Steam, but maybe I comeback again to this game sometimes in the future.

You know what I wish they brought back? Firing range in the create a class while loading up a lobby. Those terrible CoDs had that and it was the best option! Just setting up my guns in the firing range while my friends decided what mode we were gonna load into.
This game is insane, And yes. the sniping is the same, if not more broken then bo2 quick scoping, thankyou so much for bringing light to this game, it really is one of the hidden games that should've exploded after COD's failure. its one of those games you can hop on and chuck you tube in the background and just have some satisfying fun, and it genuinely has been so much more fun then the newer cods since your not playing like you've got a gun to your head every single game the good players are at the top and you learn quickly just like bo2, it runs incredibly well (*3060 300+fps capped) And 0 SBMM and even for AUS there seems to be good community behind the game as well, and progression, at least 2h in seems extremely fair and they set you up quite well in the beginning and everything is extremely reachable but you can always buy skins and camos if you really want to.
Sniping definitely isn't as over powered as BO2. It's closer to BO1 than any thing which is a good thing.
@@Jarekthegamingdragon Fair enough, yeah it's slightly slower ads but it seriously feels like the hitboxes are huge or theirs almost aim assist it's certainly a hell of alot eaiser than newer fps's

Literally the only bad map in this game is Rust, but even then it’s ONLY bad in Secure Point. It’s great in every other mode

damn sounds like a fun time to be had, i only ever really played modern warfare 1 and black ops 1 multiplayer, but those were a blast with friends, makes me want to check out this game for sure.

That means that the fuck up is mostly on EA not just DICE, sure DICE putting the game out like that is still bad but EA not giving DICE the time to polish it is even worse than DICE putting out an unpolished product, and EA is the PARENT company to DICE, if the parents not held accountable then they're just going to keep doing this crap like they have with past Battlefield games, and they already got one beating after Battlefront 2's P2W fiasco.

Thanks man you GET IT! Last truly truly great COD was BO2! I enjoyed BO3 MP and IW but they were not COD. MW19 was great but most of the maps sucked (Hackney Yard, Gun runner, Shoothouse and Cheshire Park being the exceptions)
Also so many FPS devs forget the gun is your character. Yes having a cool protagonist is awesome but the guns and gameplay are the real stars in any FPS game.
Another one that is pretty good, doesn't feel the same of course, is Phantom Forces, a Roblox game.

I no longer play CoD, and i never played much MP, but i do remember the Pick 10 system was very, very good.
Black Ops 2 was the last game where I had tons of fun, and I even put enough time in to get diamond skins for everything. After that, it’s like all the fun was sucked out of the games
Gunplay feels less polished than COD, but I like how the fact that it's pretty much a COD game that has long term support and development, allows it to add a lot of content over time
I thought this game shut down two years ago, I really liked it back then. Didn't think it was actually back.
