the explanation you gave is for another experiment,here when the alcohol was burnt it heated up the air,so when the mouth was closed the air slowly became cool and cool air takes less space than warm air,and created a vacuum causing the crush..what u gave explanation is similar but for another experiment cause there is no steam here
