    This music is also heard in the background of a passionate scene in the 1964 film, The Pawnbroker. Everything old is new again.

    Oh dear lord.
    As a teenager, we trekked up to agincourt to cfto studio's to watch this show and get a tour of the cfto studios.
    It was roughly '75 and that week, I am sure the guest was gareth hunt of the avengers, but I cannot remember for sure if joanna lumly was the other guest.
    but that show was so canadian with the weak prizes and so lame jokes.
    The best thing about that show was the theme as I never heard it again until mike meyers re introduced it in his movies Mike was of my era.

  • @DoctorShocktor
    @DoctorShocktor Před 7 lety +1

    This is not the theme song to Definition, it's just a sample of the Austin Powers movie theme. Massive fail! Yes, the game show had the same melody, but a totally different arrangement and instrumentation. It sounds completely different. People, if you want to hear the correct music, look up one of the full episodes of Definition on CZcams that actually has the theme.

    This piece of music is forever shat upon for being associated with such an abysmally pathetic game show. As a Canadian, I recall the shame we felt at our television during the 70's and 80's (except for SCTV). The only thing worse than "the trouble with tracy" or "the Beachcombers" was Canadian game shows, like the whole "ZANY" gang on Party Game, where the grand prize was $17 or dinner for two at a cheap restaurant in Toronto. To anyone involved in the production of definition: go bury your head in the sand--especially the girl who silhouette-danced at the beginning to Quincy Jones' soul bossa.

      what a grouch. you musta really dug the Mad Dash then...nothing abysmally pathetic about Definition or Party Game or the Beachcombers....You wanted Flash capitalism, you got it when Cable arrived. well, look at the jackpot the States are in now eh. The prizes, meh, who gives a hoot, adds even more cache to the Canadiana socialism we used to be revered for...at least it wasn’t czcams.com/video/ViZTfmhij_g/video.html
