  • This video is the start to finish process of a Committal Service featuring a Wilbert Venetian Ovation.
    The Ovation Set Up is a Wilbert Funeral Services Patent, it's a design for the Burial vault that allows the vaults cover to be displayed safely at a downward angle towards the friends and family at the service.
    Our vault company has an almost unlimited way to personalize the vault colors and the cover of the Vault.
    Some funeral directors also bring sharpies to allow the family and friend's to write one last message to their loved one who has passed.
    It is an honor to provide these services for each of the families and funeral homes we provide our burial vault services for.

    Didn’t know a vault man was till I found your page when i lost my aunt I just saw a guy under a tree watching and i was the last to leave and finally realized what he was there for. So I waived at him and told him we got a problem I’m not leaving until he is done and I’m sure he couldn’t start till I’m gone…he made sure I was okay…and like houdini trucks and a crew appeared out of no where and I watched from a few feet off…toward the end I asked them if all the flowers could go in the vault with her as they are her flowers and they said absolutely…I stayed till the end cause it just didn’t feel right leaving my aunt there alone to be laid to rest by strangers…. Nice to understand what’s happening from your videos…you got a big heart and your the type of person that has no clue how important you are cause this is just you being you. Well understand to the rest of us you are pretty damn awesome !

Having problems with getting it done, I've decided to donate my body to a medical school, then to be cremated. I know your an excellent person, doing 200%, on your job. Your voice is very calming. When my aunt passed out been raining and her grave was full of water we off set her to the side. They were going pump out the water before they buried her. Thanks for posting these videos. We have all gone to graveside committals and were too reticent to inquire about these details. In the rural community where my relatives have been buried, it is customary to leave for the luncheon and not watch the lowering. But then, the local funeral director is like family and trusted. He also takes photos of the casket, vault and lowering.

    I'm like the funeral lady on Sanford and Son. I've been to more funerals that I could possibly count. Most of our family are not buried in vaults. We want to be able to go all the way back to dust and not hindered by a vault. I really appreciate that you make a cross in the bottom of a Christian's grave. It is so awesome that you go to that much trouble.
    I had a friend who was buried in a vault. His parents wished to have him moved from a cemetery that was no longer being cared for. The vault had failed and was filled with water. His casket was also filled with water. The manufacturer replaced the vault and paid for a new casket. So once again, I think it is awesome that you take the time to make sure that the lid is properly aligned to ensure proper sealing.

      I've been watching the pair of Irish cemetery visitors here on YT. Vaults were common in the 17-19th Centuries but were only for the well off. The poor were lucky to get a field stone and the really wealthy had mausoleums. Those old vaults have often failed after 200 years ,being built of brick . I have a lot of ancestors from England and most of their graves from the 1500's are slowly disappearing, especially those laid to rest in London Around Christs Church in Spitalfields.

    • @SirIdot
      @SirIdot Před měsícem

      @@user-pk3ot7jx5wAlthough you asked about the UK I will answer how it is in Sweden and I hope you find it interesting. Less than 10% of funerals are casket burials these days, the rest are cremations. When a casket is buried it's buried directly into the ground, ,,vaults are not used and I believe they are not allowed to be used.
      Speculating a bit here, but the right to a grave is only 25 years here, after which a relative needs to pay to extend the right in intervals of 15 years. If there are no relatives or if the relatives don't want to extend the right the grave is returned and can be reused for someone else. Any remains are reinterred in a communal grave area.
      I believe this process would be much more difficult if there is a vault buried in the ground.

    In the Netherlands, no vault is placed, but only earth. In my city they have removed all the old graves, I think for various reasons including deterioration and making space. It is actually big business even after death because you pay for a place for 5, 10 or 20 years and then the surviving relatives can pay again or it will be cleared and a new person can be buried. Even the gravestones are collected and reused. We also usually have a plate on the ground next to a headstone.

    So.. why a vault like that.. Seems to me that it would take a tremendously long time before that grave can be reused, wich leads to two things: One, you will over the several hundreds of years simply not have the space for burials. Secondly, as plots gets filled up around a site, other family members will eventually be placed further and further apart.. Here, we only uses biodegradable materials, and only the casket is lowered into the ground. But eventually, the grave is being reused afyer 50+ years unless the family wants to upheld it. My church was buildt in the 1100s, and have a cemetary that has been in works now for nearly a millenium. If everyone had been placed in concrete vaults all that time, the cementary would be seen from space, how large it would have been!
