  • Part 3 of my European vacation as a newly engaged woman. In this vlog we visited Positano in the Amalfi Coast, took a private boat to the the famous arch and blue grotto, stopped in Capri and did all the historical things one does when in Rome.
    Hope you enjoy!

    We love Positano and had shoes made at the same place. The family is so very genuine and nice, it was an honor to meet them!!

    Ah you passed through Praiano where we stayed in the most beautiful pensione and that little town is Amalfi, good for you both to brave the winding roads on a vespa. On my bucket list!

    Great video! Good thing you made it to Capri and the Blue Grotto in October! The waters usually gets rough during those months.

    How long did the whole European trip last? I'm surprised that you were able to visit so many different cities in the same trip 💃 Did you use a travel agent? Those are some planning skills 👌

    Wonderful video, me and my fiancé will be visiting Positano in May. We are really in high hopes of doing a private boat tour, could you give me the name of the company you went through for the private boat to Capri?

    • @naomiboyer
      @naomiboyer  Před 7 lety

      Josh Miller we planned this at least 4 or 5 months in advanced. It was still busy in September but no long lines.

    Hi! This is basically the same itinerary we are looking to do for our honeymoon end of September! I was thinking 5 nights in positano ( day trip to capri from there) and then 2 nights in rome? Is that enough time in your opinion? Thank you!

    • @naomiboyer
      @naomiboyer  Před 7 lety +1

      Yes, 5 nights in positano is perfect. 2-3 night in Rome is good. I found Rome to be really crowded even in September. Shopping is good though so if you wanna see all historic places and shop, then 3 night might be better than 2.

      We are also debating not doing Rome at all and just a week in Positano to relax, so we'll see. Thanks for your help!

      I literally told my fiancé that I wish we didn't go to Rome because I would have rather stayed in Positano or some of the other places we visited longer.

    We are planning this same trip. My wife wants to get a driver to go from Rome to Positano, and I would like to take the train. Is the driver better than the train?

    • @naomiboyer
      @naomiboyer  Před 7 lety

      Hey!! I'm excited for you guys! A driver can be costly, but it's definitely worth it because the road to get up there is small and VERY windy... so you get to be in the comfort of your own car. I have never done the train so I have no idea what it's like, but I know a lot of people take it. I wonder if it feels less windy taking the train.

    how are these two so rich?! I've been on this vacation before, and getting private drivers everywhere, staying at Le Syrenuse, getting custom sandals made, taking a private boat to Capri, etc etc... IT'S ALL SO EXPENSIVE

    • @naomiboyer
      @naomiboyer  Před 7 lety +2

      satinsolstice hey satinsolstice! Thanks for watching! It was an extremely expensive trip. We planned this trip almost a year in advanced. We knew exactly that we wanted to go all out so we definitely planned for that. My fiancé also proposed to me on this trip so he wanted to make it extra special. We both work really hard and are lucky to have great jobs. Italy is beautiful no matter how you see it though and you definitely don't need to do all the over the top things to basque in the beauty.

      thanks for the response - I'm glad you enjoyed your trip so much, and congratulations on the engagement! I guess I was just surprised at how much you guys splurged, but sounds like this was very thought out, so that's great!

    I don't understand, you visit Capri and Positano but don't visit our city? You visit Gulf of Naples but don't visit Naples, only Rome at 200 km of distance. I don't understand this! :) Only Rome, Capri and Positano but Naples (Is the mom of Capri, Ischia, Procida, Positano, Sorrento, Amalfi, Ravello) No.
