There have been times where I was mistaken as a guy on the internet. Mostly in Among Us where we don't contact each other after and they were trying to sus me out.
But this one time, it was a streamer who was very engaged with his chat, and we had a good convo about my username and its namesake (it's based on a card game anime, but the anime is super obscure so barely anyone knows it, which is why we had a convo about it). He also asked about what characters we simped for in the game he was streaming (it was Genshin), and I replied with Xiao. He made a Discord gc, and we talked on it. For more context, he doesn't usually read gc history. Someone else in the gc asked about our pronouns, and I told them mine was she/her. Three days passed after that, and he treats me like one of the homies. Then, he finally finds out I'm a girl (on stream) and he's shocked lmao XD I tell him he can just treat me the same and he says "No I gotta treat you like a lady" :/ Like bruh, I don't care about that, just treat me the same XD But yeah, that was a funny moment XD

Really the only difference being that these people default to saying "he/him" and I default to "they/them".

I don't mean to embarrass my sibling, but my young brother was mistaken for a girl a few times; which is weird because my brother's hair has never been crazy long, never going past his shoulders. Hardly ever went past his ears. He has beautifully full and curly dirty blonde hair:Ie and our older sister envy those thick curls. But anyway, he's never had his hair very long nor dressed in anything close to being feminine: typical young boy fashion- T-shirts with shorts. It always confused me when it happened especially when my mom introduced my brother, by name (his name is unmistakable male) and the woman said a completely different name and treated my brother like a girl. Confusing times.
As a guy with long hair (almost down to my butt) I understand his struggles PAINFULLY well. I especially the last part, somehow people can have a conversation with you and your (obviously) male voice and SOMEHOW still not realize. I've been told so many fucking times "wow your voice is so deep" and at first I didn't get it, till I realized what they thought. Gods it's so frustrating. even though I know nothing about this Vtuber, I may have to check him out now for being so relatable lmao

I am a guy and have long hair to my chest. I take good care of it so its shiny and wavy and all that. The amount of times I have been called lady at the metro , café , university is honestly fascinating. Yall I have a beard. The masks I wear dont cover my entire face and my beard is visible. I get mistaken for my brothers mother all the time, I was also called sir once and to be honest I enjoyed it but the person apologized when they seen my face. I really don't know what made them think I was a man, I was in full customer service mode with my high voice and everything. Not only that but my hair is also quite long.
