I also bought the ultimate but not the tall boy. I didn’t want to sit back farther. I have pretty long arms and reach to the stock handlebars is perfect for me. We noticed the difference immediately of course. We were lucky enough not to have to pay shipping because we only live 20 minutes away from the Daytona store. I had the ultimate on my Valkyrie Interstate for 20+ years without any problems!
I also bought the "Ultimate Seat" for my 2023 GW. What a difference! Went with the standard, including the passenger back rest. Heating works better than the OEM. I'm using Mink oil to keep water off of it.
I also suffer from sciatica, but with my Russel Day Long, I never have a problem. And if I remember correctly, it cost me around $1000 complete with my electric heating intact. I certainly agree with you that the original seat is a butt killer.
Nice review - thanks for posting it.

That’s a fact and a shame considering what the bikes cost.
just ordered mine a few days ago. Added the passenger backrest. Looking forward to a more comfortable ride. Yes, pricey.
You won’t be sorry
Well said write up my man.
