I agree with you guys about whay you said in the discussion, but I honestly don't understand if your criticism towards Azula is how she was portrayed by the actress or how she looks? Cause she had literally less screentime than Bumi, i don't think we can express an opinion on a 10 minutes appearence. Even though she doesn't look like her, those little moments where she was angry or where she elevates herself cause she knows to be superior hit me, I saw "the azula" in those moments. Moreover, Azula never appeared in season 1 of the cartoon, so this could be an embrional version of her, BEFORE the stone cold and perfected warrior we see in season 2
Yeah this was the exact point I was going to make. This is essentially pre-development Azula before she shows up in animated, and we really don't have a good idea from animated what that plays out like other than some flashbacks of her when she was much younger. Azula is 14, I don't know what they expect from how she looks, either. She's got some good energy from the little screentime she has, and nailed the crazy eyes pretty darn good imo.
I'm looking forward to a season 2. I never thought the adaptation would be better then the original but it captures core flavors of the original show, so I definitely enjoyed this adaptation. My only big issues which was the same for One Piece is eight episode is not enough and u get pacing problem such as everything moves to quickly, like Yue death is done really quickly because they have to get through other impotent stuff.
Wow; I think you're thy first person to say you didn't like the casting of Azula. I've watched a half dozen reaction streamers, and everyone loves the casting and portrayal of her. Interesting
@@nukiesduke6868 ok, but she is a child in the cartoon, she should not be intimidating. I understand that people base a lot on the actresses look, but azula is not just that😅 Azula is a complex character, she is cold, firm, strategic, psycopath. If the actress can convey these things in Season 2 and 3, well, for me it is ok.
Sadly, lots of people are not happy with the casted actress for azula. Howewer, she's probably the best among them (i felt more emotions from her few scenes than from others honestly), she's not well received just because she's not skinny☠️
lol they’re definitely not the first I’ve seen to dislike the casting. I’m still kind of torn on her myself. She doesn’t feel like Azula to me. But at the same time I thought she did well as far as the actress acting. It just … idk it feels like some other character, not Azula. Hopefully it changes for me in season 2
This had the same problem the one piece adaption had. This show, like OP would have greatly benefited from an extra 2 or so episodes. Both were 8 but realistically should have been 10-12. You can tell when netflix proceeds with caution. They've had so many tanks due to all of the untalented DEI hires and nepo babies they're scared to actually invest into this stuff.
Yeah Netflix is trying to be careful. Going from 8 to 10 episodes with ATLA live-action would've been an extra 30 million dollars. Hopefully with the reception and views being high (ATLA Beat OP in viewers) , they will give in to the creators request to have more than 8 episodes for season 2.
Yea it’s nothing against the actress personally. Her acting was great. In my opinion, just didn’t seem like she quite fit the part. We will see what future seasons will bring!

Live action Cowboy bebop ed is all I have to say I think Shane’s criticisms are valid. But I do see what you’re saying too
@@Zechree i didn't understand the first part of your comment😅
Dunno why everyone is saying Sokka isn't a bender. Dude is a backbender for sure.
Azula and Zuko have the same head shape to they look more like brother and sister.
Lol when I first saw Zuko’s bubble head in ep1 I was so mad lol
I can't wait for Season 2 or Book 2 I truly loved this Live Action show 🔥☯️⚡💦💨 I really liked it all honesty 🤘 Stay awesome guys

Really? I find that surprising considering I also consider her to be the worst casted character. She's too young and baby faced to be intimidating.
