What religion does for sportsmen, especially Boxers, is that it teaches them discipline and composure. Teaches them whatever is right, wrong and compliance. If you comply with the rules of your faith, it will also reflect upon how well you follow your training at the gym. Whereas without developing this habit you will be all over the place and just be thinking about stuff like 'payday' or 'what car I am going to buy after the fight' and stuff. And normally religious fighters like Arthur are mentally unbreakable. Tyson Fury and Khabib also being a few names that are also devoted to their faith. So, there is a pattern here.
