I always wanted to commission a portrait of you Chuck and Blair Scheming in 6x04 "

These scenes come from Gossip Girl 6x04 "Portrait of Lady Alexander" I wasn't a big fan of this episode when it first aired but on second viewing I didn't mind it that much. But one thing I found a bit annoying was how expository the dialogue is. Blair and Chuck are constantly talking out loud about the mystery they're trying to unravel about Bart, horses and oil. (I think the writer would have benefitted from watching The Maltese Falcon because the truth is noone watches that film for the plot. The plot is a mess just like this plot is a mess. lol. They watch it for the style, the atmosphere, Bogart's charisma and the eccentric side characters. That's how this episode should have been handled IMO. But I digress...)

I like how they are so in tune with one another. It's like a finely oiled machine where the push/pull of their chemistry is manifest as their scheming. lol.
