Woke Left Are Imploding Over Sam Kerr

  • Beloved Australian soccer captain Sam Kerr (well beloved to some, the media seem to love her. Social media? Not so much), has done something a little bit naughty. She uttered some not-so-nice words to a police officer in London early last year. First of all, no matter what side of politics you’re on, whether you’re woke or anti-woke, I don’t care, but I think nobody should be cancelled, or lose their careers over something they say. We’re all human. We all make mistakes. We sometimes say stupid things. So I’m not here campaigning for Sam Kerr to lose her job.
However, she did say something that other sports stars have lost their jobs over. What did she say? Well after a big night out, she reportedly threw up in a taxi and got into an altercation with the driver over the taxi fare, presumably over the cleaning fee, so the police were called and she allegedly called the police officer a “stupid white bastard”. However, it’s being reported that Kerr herself said she didn’t say that all, she said, “stupid white cop”. Either way, the intent is the same. She called the police officer “stupid”, as well as “white”, and consequently was charged with Racially Aggravated Harassment, which she could potentially go to jail for.
This of course resulted in the Progressive Left, or the Woke Left, or whatever you want to call them, their minds collectively imploded. You see, the Progressive Left are all about criminalising language, when it suits them. They are obsessed with historical oppression and identity politics. The only things that matter to them now are race, gender, and sexuality. They no longer focus on the real problems facing poor people, but instead turn their gaze to imagined microaggressions against over-privileged university graduates. And because Sam Kerr is a person of colour (I hate that term by the way. It sounds rather racist, don’t you think?), she’s of Indian descent (noting, she’s also of Caucasian descent, but that doesn’t seem to count), she’s a lesbian (she has a Caucasian fiancée), and of course, she’s a woman, whatever that means. Nobody seems to be able to define it anymore. The point is, she ticks all the Woke Left’s boxes, so to speak. So when they heard she was charged with racism, as I said, their collective minds imploded.
Instead of calling out the racism for what it is, they instead tried to defend her. But to be fair, it is a bit hard for them to rationally support her racist comments in this instance, so what else can they do? Well they can simply change the definition of racism. For example, the Conversation are reporting: “Sam Kerr’s alleged comments may have had a racial element, but they were not ‘racist’” in quotes.
Obviously, laws should be colourblind, and should be applied equally. If Sam Kerr gets away with this, it sets an incredibly stupid and dangerous precedent.
Of course, politicians like Senator Lidia Thorpe who profit (as in benefit) from the racism industry, tweeted: “Replace all statues of captain cook with statues of Sam Kerr, our one true captain”. Basically, calling her a hero for using racist language towards a police officer.
Former Australian soccer captain Craig Foster has called on Football Australia to strip Sam Kerr of her captaincy if it is confirmed that she did indeed use racist language towards the police officer, to show how seriously the sport takes racism.
Look, I think this is the natural result of criminalising language. We get stupid situations like this. It seems like the world can’t agree what racism is. Crimes like murder are obvious. You either kill someone or you don’t. Sure, we could argue over whether it’s manslaughter, or whatever, but somebody is dead. Burglary and theft are obvious. Something has been stolen. There’s no debate. But criminalising language, as we’ve seen with this racism debate, is a very dangerous path. It’s open to abuse. Somebody says something, and then somebody claims they feel offended. How can we disprove it? Maybe we should just do away with this whole racism thing.
Even if the world decides that what Sam Kerr said wasn’t racist, it was still wrong. She is a role model. Many girls (and boys) look up to her. At the very least, she needs to apologise. She won’t, because that would be an admission of guilt. But in a perfect would, she might say, “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said what I said. I was drunk, but that’s no excuse. We should be nice to one another no matter what our cultural backgrounds. Racism is racism, and I was wrong to say what I said. Please forgive me.”
Call it double standards. Call it selective outrage. Call it hypocrisy. But one thing that is crystal clear, racism is only called out by the Progressive Left when they are the victim.

Poor Sam Kerr, she's been oppressed all her life and struggles on her multi million dollar contracts. Throws up in a cab, argues with the driver over the fare (like the driver would be wrapped in cleaning up someone else's vomit) and then abuses the cop, gets charged for abusing said cop and the Left go ballistic. How dare anyone criticise a drunk, abusive Indian/Australian lesbian soccer player. Just disgraceful!

Then going back further than nationality and generalizing Asian, European, African? How far back along the blood lines do we need to go before Race is blurred? You are a Black guy and I am a White guy but we are both Homo Sapiens so does that mean in Evolutionist terms we are both really the same race but we have just been separated for a very long time in our family tree? Isnt it interesting that someone of Indian decent would even preach to others about racism which itself is a form of discrimination where caste based discrimination and racism is rife within Indian society and has been for centuries, I mean the entire societal system is based on that caste system where those in the lower castes are often blocked from access to opportunities that the privileged higher casts have. It's the height of hypocrisy for societies like that preach to others on the issue. As for Sam kerr well she simply expressed her own deep seated racist attitudes and she did so because she like many others believe they have that green light to do so and now we Football Australia help to perpetuate that idea the racism in one form ie towards whites is acceptable yet other forms of racism ie against anyone not white is not. Watch from this more of this happening and if you havent noticed it already in media, movies and in general open expression then you live with your head in the sand.

Years ago now, the Chelsea and England captain John Terry was accused of making a "racist" comment towards another player, Anton Ferdinand, during a match. He was hauled over the coals by the British media and was charged. The courts found him not guilty but he was still stripped of the England captaincy. I can't remember if he received any other punishment but the point is that he was punished even after it was shown that he may have said something stupid but there was no malice behind it. For reference, at the time, Chelsea was probably the most racially diverse team in the Premier league and, again from memory, his black teammates backed him all the way. At the very least, Sam Kerr should receive a similar punishment. Do I think she's racist, no but she said something stupid, just like JT and should face some kind of consequence for her actions. That being said, JT is a straight, white male so I think we know how unlikely it is that there will be parity.

Unfortunately, Foster has had a 180-degree change in position. He now thinks it can't have been racist, because the police officer was white, and Sam Kerr is a woman of colour. In a statement, he wrote, “Like many, I mistakenly thought that comments that references any colour and were discriminatory, demeaning or hostile were a form of racism. I apologise to Sam for that mistake."
Citing the Diversity Council of Australia’s definition of racism which references the perpetrator being in a position of “race-based societal power”, Foster said racism cannot be committed against a white person as they are not a member of a marginalised group.
He continued, “Does that equate to double standards when the same terms of phrases are used against marginalised groups, is the question. The answer is no. Because the power differential and therefore impact are vastly and fundamentally different. Those of us who aren’t from a minority background cannot possibly know how it feels to be told that we don’t belong, don’t speak the language, don’t look right, to ‘go back where you came from’ or to have faced intergenerational racism.”
Foster said definitions of racism were “not designed to protect me, as a white, Anglo, Australian male nor a white police officer who has even greater legal, and racial power. That’s because I cannot experience racism in Australia. My right to speak is not questioned, I am in the cultural, racial, and linguistic majority, aren’t attacked for my name, colour, head dress or religion as many are, and am made to feel that I have a right to belong which is why, like many of you, I am deeply committed to making sure that no other Australian faces personal, institutional or systemic racism.”
Looks like insanity has become the new sanity. Very soon (or already?), racism against white people will be normalised, and suddenly, the so-called victims will become the abusers.

The incident involving the passenger who vomited in the taxi raises important questions about accountability and fairness. Regardless of the driver's race, the passenger is responsible for covering the cost of cleaning up the mess. If she failed to do so, she should face fines or penalties accordingly. Moreover, if the passenger engaged in abusive behavior towards the taxi driver or law enforcement officer, appropriate disciplinary action should be taken against her.
It is essential to address double standards and ensure that consequences are applied consistently regardless of race or social status. Any individual, regardless of their position or background, should be held accountable for their actions. Failure to do so undermines the integrity of the sport and erodes trust in the justice system. Therefore, if the passenger's behavior is deemed unacceptable, she should face repercussions commensurate with her actions, including potential dismissal if warranted.

This is what was written in the age this week
Owing to the complete lack of historical or systematic disempowerment of white people, it is not self-evident that Kerr’s comment (if she did, in fact, say it) demonstrates a hostility towards the police officer because they were white. It is hard to imagine, given her position and her partially English background, that Kerr bears hostility towards white people generally. It seems more likely that Kerr felt she was being harassed based on her colour (she has Indian ancestry also) and responded in kind.

It's why most of the Indian people in Australia and England have a university degrees or successful businesses. You don't see many in construction, because those jobs are usually carried out by the lower castes. I've shared houses with Indians and they had a real aversion to getting their hands dirty.
