#ArtButFood , I have already liked and subscribed to your channel. I love Caribbean food and West Indian food. I made your callaloo soup even though it was not traditional. You use potatoes and dumplings and corn in your soup as a thickening base instead of the traditional okra. Plus you use coconut milk instead of coconut water, which I know coconut water is more traditionally used than coconut milk. Nevertheless, I made your recipe, and I really enjoyed it even without the okra. Keep up the good work!!! Can you do your version of ackee and saltfish with dumplings. That's the only time I eat fish when it's prepared in that dish . Any other time I don't eat fish, I don't like fish. Now I like shrimp, Lobster, fried scallops and Oysters and clams , but I just don't like regular fish for some reason , but the only time I eat it and ackee and saltfish is because of the gravy that is made from that . My friend used to make it for me and I would pay her for it and buy the ingredients she needed to make it. because I was so shocked that I was actually sitting up there eating fish knowing I don't like fish. But my Jamaican best friend makes it for me and it's out of this world. The best ackee and saltfish ever. Hands down that is the only time you can make me eat fish❤😂😊

A food processor will make the cassava just like it's grated and a hand held blender will blend the callaloo right in the pot. Get with the program.. makes life easier.

For me I try to avoid over-cooking my veg so I would not add back the blended calaloo until everything else is cooked. I like my calaloo vibrant green, more nutrients & flavour

Using such a big knife will probably Cut some person's finger or wrist, especially folks who does not know how to use a knife in the kitchen like a Jamaican. Most people uses a Potatoe peeling to peel fruits and vegetales. We Jamaicans just use our knife to cut and peel those things in a different way.
