    I am using 22plus for almost a year ... it is the same but bigger and with laminated display. I have the same issue with setting the colours as you. I was using some wacom tablets (Mobile studio Pro, HD24, HD22) and this Huion is perfect for me. I do not feel much difference. At the beginning I was missing the touchscreen, but not a big problem ;) ... and for this price... more than perfect ;)

    I had one of these, but moved up to the Huion Kamvas 16 because that's about the perfect size for me. (I had a 24" display, but that was way too big.) I have it attached to a VESA mount arm using velcro Command Strips and it sets the display a just below eye level at the front edge of my desk when using it, nearly vertical, so I've avoid neck strain. (Then I can swing it out of the way to act as a second monitor when I'm not using it.) On top of that, I switched to the Huion felt tips because they just feel so much better.
    Now, this is the FHD version and I've been looking at the 2.5k version, but there's just not enough reviews about it.
    Huion, y'all need to give this guy one of your 2022 Huion Kamvas 16 Pro 2.5k models so he can review it.
    (Oh, but the Huion software, while useable, sucks because it keeps crashing.)
    Thanks for your video. It's great. Nice to see someone draw something other than a character.

    • @bg2993
      @bg2993 Před rokem

      Why does it keep crashing?

    • @skm6777
      @skm6777 Před rokem +1

      @@bg2993 Don't know the reason, but it pretty much always happens when my system (Mac) comes out of sleep. I know it's crashed because I use one of the buttons on the pen display to turn on the screensaver and it becomes non-responsive. Then I search for the HuionTablet driver and when it starts, it appears on the dock for less than a second and then disappears, which means it had crashed and is loading into the background again. Otherwise, it would open the tablet preferences window.
      Also, many times, the pen maps to the wrong display, but when I open the Huion app, it shows that it's mapped to the Huion. To get it to work then, I have to map it to my other display and back again.
      Like I said, their software kinda sucks, but I love my Huion.

    I just bought one direct from Huion in Australia. $309AU and at the moment includes a free USBC to USBC cable and free shipping. I've never used an e-pen and tablet before so wasn't sure what to expect, but it exceeds all my expectations. I ordered it Tuesday night, after hours. It was sent early Wednesday and I received it at lunchtime today, Thursday - that's less than 48 hours!
    The first thing I noticed was just how big the tablet is. I was expecting something as big as an A5 sheet, even though I'd measured the dimensions on my laptop screen before I purchased it, but it's almost the size of my laptop screen. It's certainly bigger than the small iPads and bigger than the old Samsung TAB A I have.
    There are no set up instructions in the box other than how to connect the cables, but there's a few You Tube videos available to help you. All you need to do is go to Huion site, download and install the driver for your Kamvas model, plug the tablet into your device and that's it. Don't be put off by the three in one cable. If you have a laptop that runs on more than 5 volts, you don't need to plug in the red power cable, just the black USB and HDMI cable, which is fortunate as on my laptop, there's only one USB cable on the HDMA port side of the laptop. Mine is a low end of the market, 8 GB RAM laptop and the tablet works fine with just the two cables.
    When the driver opens you can set the pen sensitivity and assign functions to the pen buttons and the buttons on the side of the tablet. The tablet displays whatever is on your desktop just like it does when you connect to a monitor but there was no fiddling around to get it to display like there sometimes is with a monitor. I tried PhoXo graphic software which is free. It does work with PhoXo but the nib of the e-pen is slightly off to the left by a fraction of a mm which is a bit disconcerting. However, on Photoshop it is spot on, so it appears it's PhoXo that's the issue.
    All in all, I'm more than satisfied with the product.

    Im looking forward to buying a display tablet but time and time again some or the other thing makes me questions my choices lol. I love the pricing huion is offering their tablets at but there's apparently very little technical support and as far as I've read online (except the interviews) alot of people faced interface problems. I also didn't know about the colour problem, I'm a webcomic artist so colours are kind of a big deal for me, so i dont wanna get them wrong ( would kamvas 16 be better in that area?). These doubts made me wanna look over to xppen, but a 13 inch xppen tablet is a 150$ more expensive although they at least have better technical support. So in the end im really confused about what to go with.
    UPDATE: Huion just entered in an official partnership with my uni, so we got onsite support from them now. Plus point, I won the art competition they hosted in our uni so I've got a 200$ discount coupon now, Will definitely be getting the Kamvas 13 pro 2.5k 😆😆

      Hey Jaskaran, I totally understand the struggle its not easy. About colors, I just feel like it is a bit pale display thats it. At the end of my works sometimes I drag the window to my laptop display or my external display and check the colors. Generally increasing the contrast a bit makes it fine. I still use it on my projects and still happy. Not sure why this is an issue? The tablet mirrors what is on the screen, just like any other monitor, so of course it is going to show on both. If you wanted a stand alone device, then you needed to buy something like a touch screen computer, ipad etc, for which you'll pay more than double for a much tinier screen, plus the cost of the graphics software for the tablet.
