Aesthetically, this is much better than the LX600. I would prefer this also compared to any American & German brands maintenance-wise. The Interior is also better than Lexus and with a lot of features.
Couple reviewers pointed out the rather hard arm rest at center storage so wondering if 2026 model may address that or other oversites…?
It's my favorite SUV of the year.
The design is sophisticated.
They have totally reinvented the QX80
They got Cadillac designers scratching their heads
I think you may be right!
This is a beautiful Infiniti QX80
I like QX80 right now over anything out there. They've heard everyone pitching that their v8 wasn't efficient enough. Now they addressed that too. And their third row more roomier, are specious. And they addressed it wonderfully. And also panderamic sunroof which everyone made a big deal about been addressed. And most of all the technology has been the most wonderful step forward to me. They've took a giant leap forward, too.
The suspension been addressed as well. Fuel economy been addressed. Along with tranmission from a seven speed to a nine. Twin turbocharged v6 3.5 liter 450 horse power. And 516 lb-ft. Winners hand. I'd buy one immediately.
Yeah my Uncle has an Armada and that 5.6 Liter SUCKS the tank down. Then with the QX80, you have to use premium gas too? Yeah.
Some more cool info about the QX80 to people who dont know. The engine is from the same family (per their own words) as the GT-R engine which we all know is bombproof, but with this new engine they have 15 years of technological advancement. I´m sure they have learned a thing or two to improve it. The 9-speed is also from the G-Wagon Mercedes which JATCO has a license to manufacture from Mercedes. Knowing the Japanese they made it even more reliable as this is their halo model.
People often forget (especially the US) that this car is the ultimate off-roader. It is a luxury version of the Nissan Patrol/Armada which is probably the best long distance off-road vehicle along with the Landcruiser. but this... Nissan/Infinity just took it up not one but two notches. They absolutely killed it. This is gonna sell like hot cakes
@@BroadwayLTDProductions you don't need Premium gas for Japanese vehicles - that's de beauty!
Stay away from air ride suspension, if it breaks, it won’t be cheap to fix. If you plan to drive it few years only, that’s fine but I can’t imagine air suspension works properly after 8 years
NOTHING is cheap to fix anymore.
@@RaitisRides seems that way, only way I’ve been able to save is fixing things myself 🛠️
Agreed. I had air ride suspension on my previous vehicle and after 7 years it went out
We want a video of it on the road to tell us about the engine power, sound insulation, and how much fuel it consumes
Infinity is slaying it, in the styling category. Beautiful SUV. Wondering how that air ride will hold up over a 10 or 15 year period. I have seen a lot of saggy rear ends due to failing air ride suspension. Navigators, and Escalades, mostly.
The Navigator doesn't have air suspension. Never has. It's "Infiniti" not "Infinity".
Older navigators are better
@@MercOne thanks for searching my comment for mistakes. You found a spelling error. I know how it's spelled, and I must be super accurate most of the time, or you wouldn't find it necessary to nit pick my intellect.
Why would you not fact check, before claiming Lincoln Navigator didn't come with self leveling air ride? It most certainly did, starting in 1998. I know this because my 02 Crown Victoria had the same setup before I swapped it out for regular springs due to air spring failure. ✌️💙
@@rickjames6867Let’s face it you just don’t understand much. The current Navigator does not have an air suspension. No Crown Vic has ever had an air suspension. You are talking about shocks. Not air springs. Jesus man get informed. Cars today with an actual air suspension have air springs at all 4 corners. No Lincoln Navigator or Crown Vic has had that. The only Lincoln that had this was the old Continental models of the 90s.
@@MercOne Ford Crown Victoria (Crown Vic) has an optional air ride suspension system that uses sensors mounted to the body and axle to detect ride height. The system raises the vehicle, and the voltage output decreases. The airbags have solenoids mounted to the side that allow the bladder to either vent or fill. All Crown Vics with air ride equipment have a switch in the trunk on the left to deactivate the system. This switch should be turned to the OFF position if you are servicing the system or lifting the vehicle.
Hopefully, the armada is similar, but without the expensive features
Agreed. But this is the highest trim.
Hopefully they bring the Patrol to the US as the Armada. Even though the Armada has the same chassis as the Patrol, the mechanics are different. There’s a reason why the Patrol can off-road but the Armada can’t.
The new Infinity badge is like an insignia on a chest of a superhero it's cool.
Did they lower the front seats?? Anyone over 6’1 sits eye level with the rear view mirror at the lowest setting on the old qx80’s
Didn't he already review this?
Part 2
It's not out
That’s raiti for you, he’ll review the same car multiple times. Just check out how many Camaro reviews he’s done for the same generation😭
Pt2
Pt2 okay
WOW !!! I’m not usually an Infiniti fan, but I love this. The exterior is beautiful and the interior is just gorgeous. This interior is head over heels better than the Escalade in design, materials, and build quality. Wow. Just wow.
Super legendary mr joe himself & lori as well super great content keep it flowing 🔥🔥
We appreciate you and your support
YW been riding with your channel from day one 🤙🏾
❤ the design!🔥
First video that shows the cargo space/area. Thank you!
How many bag of skittles will fit in this car?
I like the fact that the Infiniti can lower itself upon approach, more brands need to have that feature, it seems like only Lincoln does it as of right now
This is so very true!
Jeep Grand Cherokee with air suspension lowers when you park too
Joe and Lori and Steve keep up the good work real true and I love the video 👍
That interior is beautiful
This best looking suv I have seen so far, 🔥
Not gonna lie, very impressive! It took them a while but man that interior is unmatched. A bit skeptic about the absence of a V8 though...looking forward to your test drive!
Yes of course Joe & can't wait to drive one.
I love it. My interior would be most white with black as the secondary color. I wish the hood lining would have lines up with one of the lines on the headlight. Maybe I’m being picky.
Joe i have a question, would you consider accessorizing a vehicle an accessory or a mod? I thought a suspension change, adding a turbo/supercharger would be a modification. Not a sticker, tint, silly looking grab handle add-on. Love your channel reviews (especially many Twinkie references).
Can somebody explain the headlights lower and on side ? Especially on trucks and suvs. The pros must outweigh the cons but what are they🤷♂️
Practically, it helps lower the lights which helps with not blinding cars that sit lower. Aesthetically, it gives designers a little more freedom and helps to bring slim/sleek concept looking lights to production.
Was waiting for this..... definitely a fan!!💯💯💯💯
Another vehicle real Americans will never be able to afford.😂😂
For real. Can't wait to see the Armada.
You spelled "poor" wrong😂😂😂
true true
You know how the average purchase price of cars climbed to 50k over covid? Those purchases were mostly made by people that couldn't afford the car, so it's possible.
It's dropped back down to about $44k thus for in 2024. Supply is up too, so it might go lower yet@@jp23x
I didn’t appreciate your zonk for the rear windshield wiper being hidden until I started removing the freak ice snowstorm here in New Hampshire. That real wiper got slammed as I pulled off the chunks from the roof. that’s a huge reason to hide it. So it doesn’t get destroyed with heavy snow and ice.
Man I really wanted to hear a demo from that Klipsch sound system .Beautiful vehicle ,let’s see if they refresh the Armada as well.
It is hard for me to bring that because of the copyright rules on music.
Infiniti always brings the futuristic styling I own a JX 35 and Q50 I love the styling, they did a great job on this bad boy, great review Joe as usual!!
Car and Driver say Infiniti are underpowered but is that really true❓️
is this based on the nissan armarda? is there a pathfinder infiniti
Infiniti QX80 is the luxury Armada the QX60 is the luxury Pathfinder
Thanks for a great review I like it a lot.
You are so very welcome. Thanks for letting me bring it to you!
Good overview overall. Please confirm if this has HUD (didn't hear in the video). Also how about back row thigh support? Is it heated and ventilated or just heated? Any household charging points to charge laptop, electronics etc.? How about mid and 3rd.row sun shades? Would be good to include these elements into the future reviews for an overall holistic understanding. Thank you for doing this.
Regards, Arun.
It does have a HUD. Tune in on June 26th for the first drive.
They absolutely killed it. Knocked it out of the park. The design, interior, exterior, the technology and equipment. Don´t forget that this is basically the Nissan Patrol/Armada. The best off-road vehicle along with the LandCruiser series. But this... upgrade. This is way more substanstial than what Toyota did with the LX600/LC300 series.
Yes!!! I would def buy this over the others. This is GORGEOUS!!!
Excelente review
Joe please tell me there’s a rear passenger entertainment option, Great video as usual.
Not as of right now which is kind of a surprise. Thanks for letting bringing it to you!
Do you think Lexus will upgrade their 2025 lx600? Or it will continue with the same model till 2030?
We already saw this car.
okay
And you watched it again
Hey, joe this is a beautiful SUV, however lets see how this SUV compares to the 2025 Cadillac escalade IQ, wow.lol.
Great review. Beautiful vehicle 🪶
I am so glad that I can share it with you!
Ventiladed seats at the 3rd row😳🥹?
No, he made a mistake. I checked and it's only heated. Confirmed by Infiniti themselves.
@@AbdussalamMisbahudeen 😞😞
Is the 9 speed transmission really a zf unit, or is it the nissan-manufactured Mercedes 9-speed used in other Nissan products already?
Not going to lie, the new Chevy and Cadillac line ups are very good. Uncertain on reliability but man are they some really good big family haulers.
This is not worth 100k and can tell you it is most likely marked up by half, if not more. American Corporations have taking price gouging to a new level. We as consumers need to stand up and say enough is enough. This is an example of corporate greed, inflating costs so they can continue record profits, rather than get by like everyone else. Time is up!
People that are looking at $j100K+ vehicles are not going to care about the price. This is a status symbol
What do you think the price should be?
@@RaitisRideshe probably thinks its a Qx60 with lipstick.. its not.
They will charge whatever people are willing to pay for it
Why do you think it's not worth it? I have a 22 lincoln black label it was 110k this vehicle is on par if not better. You gotta think about inflation and the power of the dollar. I'm a professional mobile detailer and my prices are definitely not what they were 3 yrs ago
Can't wait to see the other trims ❤
Joe and the team always bring top quality.
I feel that this combines the best from all the major SUVs out there: It has the exterior and interior beauty of the Grand Wagoneer and Escalade but a lot more reliable. It has the reliability (hopefully) but packaged in a much more elegant design than a boring Lexus LX. For me, it's a winner. The only question is whether it is reliable as a Lexus.
Most beautiful SUV I have seen in a long time, would most likely buy this over an escalade and especially a Jeep.
Just a quick suggestion on your videos, small critique. Before getting into the drivers seat, point your camera at the inside of the Car from the drivers side while standing. outside. We viewer will be able to seat the type of seats, the drivers seat controls and what the inside looks like vs showing when you are in the car. Thanks for your work.
Banger 🔥🔥
Alright, Infiniti, I see you. Let's see what the Armada brings now
I wonder if this is the type of car I can buy and drive for 10 years without any issues. Been really considering this vehicle since it's announcement.
Very nice design. For me i would take this one over the Escalade. 100 us not to shabby.
But i agree with the earlier comments then i mean all cars should be priced cheaper.
13:00 LOL! 🤣
This is a beautiful vehicle. If I was going into that sphere of $ and style. I prefer the QX80 over the competition.
Its a beautiful truck, but that trim level needed TVs in the second row!! I hope the lower trim starts at around 70k
Base trim starts at ~$82k USD on Infiniti’s website.
Most kids have an iPad now and with cars having 20 USB ports now, it's kinda useless to have screens built in.
looks good
nice job ❤infi
Glad to see the upgrade, it was long overdue. I think it looks better than the Lexus LX with few CONs that would probably would be a deal breaker for me: touch controls for ac and modes, use of piano black near areas of contact (it even looks likable a dust catcher in some pictures), and the shifter buttons look like they belong on a Sentra, no on an Infinity benchmark. Lastly, I don’t think an SUV needs these fancy door handlers, specially one that looks intended for offroad.
Always amazes me that if one car company comes up with a new feature. EVERY manufacturer copies it immediately then they all look exactly the same as the other.
Only difference between them is the badge on the grill
Joe you sure are a pro bro
I love the silver color
Infiniti, with its modern design and interior luxury, is back on the right track
Joe, I see x7 makes sense with similar price and Great brand image.
the transmission is not from ZF . it is the Mercedes designed 9g-tronic. And for the QX80 it is produced under license by nissan's Jatco. the same trans is in the Z and the titan. The QX60 has ZF 9 speed designed for transverse engine cars
Thanks for the intel Adam!
I’m not as informed, is this a good or bad thing?
@@tknox289 9g-tronic is a very good transmission. It works smoothly and unnoticeable. It is not the best choice for the Nissan Z. They were supposed to put the sportier AMG version of the 9G-Tronic in the Z, but they decided to save money and use the regular version instead. However, for the QX80, the regular 9G-Tronic is the best option
@@tknox289 9g-tronic is one of the best. works very smoothly and quite quickly. It's not the best for a sports car like the Z. They should have equipped the Z with the AMG version of the 9g - the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9-speed transmission instead of the regular 9g. but for an SUV like the QX80 it's great
@@adamhalkechev7728 good info , thank you for sharing
What was the price please
Better than a Denali ultimate?
How many speakers does this vehicle have?
over 30
14:57 🔑 I’d buy this over the competition.
So the video starts with the suspension and fails to show the lowering/raising of the suspension. "Autograph" section is dumb. Disrupts the flow of the window/body line. "Laser-etched" lines in the dash are distracting and look gimmick-y. Rear seats still don't sit flush. I noticed they finally placed the spare wheel outside. Good decision this allows more interior cargo space.
Love everything about this new QX
You are not alone.
I need to test this without the V8. That was one of the better things about my 2022 QX80
Its nice. It can't mess with the Cadillac V-sport hands down. V-6 twin turbo. Caddy supercharged V-8 not even close
The Infiniti QX80 and Cadillac Escalade are equally awesome, I can't afford them
Great SUV .Will the new Armada be similar ? Thank you .
For sure infinity will be the first choice from our experience
For price and reliability I would definitely take this cheaper and I know would last me 10 years or more I don't have money but saying if one day god will and I do well I do love this truck and previews ones too
My dream is to have a car Infiniti like the this, but my hope is that God will bless me with it one day
Ive never been in love with any brand.. I liked almost all brands of vehicles, and have owned many.. I had 3 variations of the Infiniti Q70.. Looked at a Mercedes E class and thats when I found out the difference in feel, drive, solidness, and other things.. the infiniti was certainly no E class.. But it wasnt as much money as well.. I like the QX80, too massive for me, not sure why other than for business reasons or specifically needing to fill it with things that anyone would ever need something this huge.. But I am sure one of my neighbors will have one to drive little Sally to school every morning..
Any rumors of that engine making it into the Z and Frontier warrior
so Armada should be similar? any news on that?
Fingers cossed! We are still waiting to see.
The interior is definitely better than the Cadillac. Lets see what the update will be for the 2025 Escalade.
massage seats is really great for long road trips....🙂
You better believe it!
Really liking this! Huge redesign inside and out. Pricey, yes! But I would take this over anything with Tesla in the name any day!
I heard from an auto review channel, they said the ARMANA is one of the best selling most reliable large SUV's across the international market. so I think the QX80 is an excellent choice. TONY MACARONI
You are spot on about that!
Damnnnn! This is good and bringing the competition - LX600 is in trouble especially the fact that it has trunk space after the 3rd row seats is down. There is absolutely no trunk space with the LX600
Infiniti really upped their game!
Minor exterior uplifts, great interior changes.
Hope they still offer rear entertainment...
100,00$ Not bad!

The Cadillac Escalade sells 40,000 every year, the Lincoln Navigator and Infinit QX80 each only sell about 15,000 per year.
That was then, and this is now 🤷🏾♂️
@@newme200728 They sold about 40,000 Escalades just last year try again !

Great
We used to have 200SX, and Datsun four doors sedan in the 80s, and the 90 Maxima and Pathfinder first generation. But after that Nissan gone down quality.
But for the Toyota- Lexus from 2016 to present are cheap made vehicles.
So, for this 2024 Nissan Infinity QX80 should be the real choice for high end SUV for some camping and long distance summer trips.
I like the diesel engine from Titan XD.
