Here's a sci-fi example:

0:23 to 0:34 - The communication line is buzzing and the hero's surveillance partner notifies the hero that the hive mind had a failsafe in place and the mothership was going to self-destruct and take the hero's home station with it.
...Unfortunately, that's all I've thought up so far.
