This was the episode that made me fall in love with the new era of MTW.
While I'm nostalgic for the competitive, high-energy era of Frankie, Andy, etc . ., this new collegial atmosphere is also excellent. It probably doesn't hurt that Nish's wikipedia bit is my favorite panel show moment ever.
Glad to see that migrant workers (Dara and Ed) are given opportunities to work in the BBC
I was very surprised that Ed beat Ed in the stand up challenge, I really like Ed but I thought Ed had the stronger routine.

It's quite a rare style combo - she's upbeat deadpan. Very few people try it and she completely nails it.
Kerry is probably an amazing improv player. I loved her jokes!
Kerry Godliman was the star of this episode for me. The "Captain Birdseye" joke had me in stitches, and I'm actually thinking about changing my screensaver to the face Kerry pulls when she makes the "whiskers and cat piss" joke
Ed Gamble versus Ed Byrne was a great competition, in this episode! No matter who technically had the better set, I feel the audience won having both laughs combined. 🍻 Thanks for the upload.
I find myself returning to this episode, not quite sure exactly why. Maybe it is for the political banter, but it could be for the joke that Hugh has been banned from Chessington World of Adventure. Overall, I really enjoy the full combination of all the gags. Nish Kumar also has a really hearty laugh, which also contributes to the joy of it.

I think Nish’s Wikipedia bit with Ed and Dara going off on each other is another amazing part of this show! And Rachel is just wonderful to admire, beautiful and funny; shame Dara can’t say the same ;)

The "Dominos effect" line made me spit coffee on my laptop! Stopped watching MTW a few years ago, but this ep was better than I ever remember (I was just searching for Rachel Parris stuff tbh).
Russians have a great voice for being spies. My surgeon met me pre op to discuss things and turned the whole thing into a hilarious spy caper.

All the newspaper articles mentioning Ed in blind date don't have a picture of him. They do of others. Don't think there is a picture in the public domain. Hopefully someone has it on VHS tape 😊

I didn't laugh at anything she said here. She makes good points on The Mash report, but doesn't make me laugh there either. I also hate the tone of her voice so I watch The Mash report clips on mute with subs. You have a weird taste in women dude, but that's only a good thing.
