Got an older GPU and wondering which sim you might enjoy more for endurance or sportscar racing?
In this video we'll compare AMS2 and Le Mans Ultimate, driving the Corvette C8.R and the Porsche 963 LMDh at Monza.
LMU is on Low graphics with low MSAA & FXAA, x2 Anisotropic Texture Filtering.
AMS2 is on Medium graphics with reduced Post-Processing effects, Texture Filtering x8 Anisotropic, MSAA Ultra

AC is probably your best bet ! Hundreds of Cars and Track Mods available ! And the Sound in AC is Fantastic !
Automobilista 2 looks Fantastic !
Good Video Keep up the good work👍😎
Thanks!
Yeah, AC is solid, even after 10 years! I haven't checked out PURE yet but with SOL/CSP it looks great!
@@EhPlusSimRacing CSP and PURE is Fantastic, I used for the Past 8 years an old PC , and it was Great 😃
nicely done comparison. i favor AMS2 because i play older F1 mostly. but it seems LMU has a slight edge in Le Mans type cars.
AMS2 has a great collection of vintage cars and tracks! LMU does have an edge on the Hypercars, but (from what i hear) AMS2 just made a deal with IMSA so the tables might turn in the near future.
I uninstalled LMU. I just found the bugs too frustrating to deal with, particularly the stuttering. Also, the real cars have traction control, as does the Ldmh class in AMS2, but not LMU, which makes it unrealistic. I don't think those hypercars would be driveable without it irl. I also don't have time for 80 minute + races...
@@gomezthechimp1116every car has traction control in LMU…..
For some reason I respect the guys making an older GPU work these days 🍻 The 963 LMDh in LMU sounds so good
I'm just trying to get the most out of my gtx970 as i can. Upgrades aren't cheap, and I'll need a new power unit when i do upgrade my gpu.
@@EhPlusSimRacing You're making all this content on a 970?! Props to you, man. You definitely humbled me a bit today, as i've been feeling like i'm lacking with my RTX 2080Ti lol.
@@nockrawl914 I just work with what I have, which sometimes limits what I can do for content, but it's still good enough for me to enjoy some racing.
I like to watch onboard footages from real racings, LMU's corvette sounds much closer to most of those footages than automobilista 2.
AMS2 sounds too muffled, maybe they tried to replicate what the pilot hear under the helmet.
Sounds of the Corvette compared i think AMS2 sounds better. But the Porsche Le Mans car sounds better in LMU.
You can view your framerate by selecting the option in Steam's settings ( settings/gameplay/in-game fps counter)
Oh, i didn't even think about using steam for that. Thanks!
Somehow I don't like the FOV in le mans ultimate. Don't ask me precisely why, but it just doesn't fell right. Its like it's too far in straights, but then it's too close on the curbs and I can´t see to the sides.
expecially on the LMDH and LMP2. GT3 is good.
then change it
@@nortski78 Oh thanks bro. I've tried many, 32, 36,45,22. Seat position, higher or lower. But none feels right for my preferences, sadly.
It took me a while to find a comfortable view in the LMP2 and LMDh cars. I run single screen so it does feel a bit confined at times. I'm hoping they'll make it so each car can have its own seat position. As it is now, I get the view perfect for the GTE cockpit but then if i switch to the other classes I have to change the seat position all over again.
I think the issue comes of not be able to tilt up/down the view.. Is always parallel to the road which makes the perspective weird.
