Poor kid he asked for his dads help when his dad was staring at him couldn’t do anything like it’s sad..he felt bad for him
Mia Valentine It made me get tears I know he’s probably overreacting but it’s still sad.
Shakira Mulcahy overreacting? He’s a kid and was scared like hell. Also everyone feels pain differently.
Dog Nutz_Official being scared and being in pain are too different things
Dog Nutz_Official he was probably more scared than in pain
Dog Nutz_Official you can tell by how the lifeguards were reacting to him but ok 🙄
I don't think people realize with Zach's reaction that he wasn't a brat, overreacting, or being ridiculous. He was truly overwhelmed by a sensation he had never felt before. He seemed to be in a state of true panic and terror. I can't imagine how much fear and pain he must of been feeling in that moment. You could see the terror in his face. Even though he wasn't in any real danger. It felt real for him. Poor kid.
I also think that
Yeah, to him he was just swimming and suddenly he's in extreme pain. I think anyone who didn't know what it was would be terrified.
Thankfully they did realize that, so they gave him the green whistle. They realized he was out of his element, and his panic was making things worse.
He probably also have like ASD or something like that
I reacted the same way when I got stung by a pacific sea nettle . I was his age when it happened.
the fact that they didn't know whether or not it was an anaphylactic shock or an anxiety attack should tell people how severe anxiety and panic attacks can be.

@@maisi3onxboxone811 to be honest I haven't seen this video in 3 months but I do remember the fact that they didn't know whether or not this person couldn't breathe and they didn't know whether or not it was an anxiety attack or their throat was closing up due to an anaphylactic shock

Poor kid; that was likely the first time he’d ever experienced that kind of pain in his life, and I can’t blame him for being so panicked and terrified. Whenever you experience intense pain for the first time, you can quickly become overwhelmed by the fear of the unknown: not knowing/fully comprehending what happened to you, why you’re feeling such unbearable pain, and if you will be okay or not.

Honestly now that u say it..I agree
Poor kiddo was absolutely hysterical. Working yourself into hysteria from pain is super common, especially for kids. The kid is from England where the water is too cold for blue bottles. Probably never seen a jellyfish in the ocean and he gets stung first contact. I’m honestly surprised he didn’t blackout he was screaming so hard. Probably had a sore throat the next day. Seeing kids in pain is so insanely hard to watch. I probably would’ve reacted the same way if not more screaming when I was his age. I just wanted to hug him.
Believe it or not, we actually have LOADS of jellyfishes, I live on the coast and when they washed up they are MASSIVE their bidy is easy the size of a watermelon, so we do have lots it’s just that the sea is so cold no one goes swimming in it 🤣

I have been stung by a bluebottle before and it hurts a lot. I had it on my back and I was wearing my brand new two piece swimmers. I was in excruciating pain so I feel that kid because I also had to have the green whistle. The young boy must have been so overwhelmed after going on a 12 hour flight from the UK, booking in a hotel, going down to the beach to have fun and then like minutes later he has a whole blue bottle sting on his leg, He had ice on it and got taken to the showers then blew on the green whistle like I would’ve been very stressed too. Sorry I am really late and that my comment is so long but can everyone remember to stay safe anywhere but especially the beach but don’t forget to have fun☀️🌊🏖
My friend, Cassie took a trip to Bondi Beach in Australia a couple of years ago and got stung by one of these. The worst part is, she got stung on her butt. I remember getting stung by one at the Gold Coast in Burleigh, wrapped around my thigh, definitely the worst experience ever. Also remember there were like little white dots littered where the stinger was when it got a bit more bearable.
jesus when tommy asked ''are you okay sweetheart" my heart was in pain from how sweet that was.
The look of sheer panic on that kids face, it doesn’t matter if he was “overreacting”, it’s clear that everything he was feeling physically and mentally was real.
Eh...kids are extremely dramatic and get themselves worked up into hysterical states over nothing half the time. This kid had probably convinced himself it was much worse than it was and was just in a state of total panic, sadly. I'm not saying it didn't hurt - I'm sure it was horrible. But I'd bet his reaction was partially emotional rather than entirely physical and he just got too worked up.
@Mike Tommy Kids can get EXTREMELY worked up into a state of absolute hysteria, even over things that are very minor. So considering a jellyfish sting is certainly painful, the poor boy was panicking and got himself into a state of extreme panic and couldn't calm down. It happens.
@@angeljimin6877 wth why would u even think that? Tbh that sounds so damn wrong 😑
He screaming kicking and pushing everybody. When your in pain I don’t get why some people just... ✨scream✨

@Mike Tommy bluebottles do not sting that bad. He made himself think it was worse bc it is a jellyfish and you normally think of a jellyfish as something hurts like shit. Bluebottles even as a kid if you know it’s not gunna kill ya you know it just hurts for a bit and you’ll be on ya way

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO AAAAAAAAAAA
THIS IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUUUUUEE!!
Is what he's trying to say
Some people are hypersensitive to pain, so what would be really painful to most people is over-the-top _excruciating agony_ to them. The kid who screamed non stop for 30 minutes or however long it was was probably such a person. IMHO they should have administered the whistle at the start, rather than as last resort.
They have a legal responsibility to hand out the green whistle only to those in severe, excruciating pain. The kid was obviously somewhat overreacting and 99% of stings don't require the whistle so that's probably why it took them so long to administer
I got this bluebottle sting on daily basis on 2009 - 2011 when i was onboard of fishing vessel. First time i got stung (on my face), i felt my skin melting down. But, after day by day (and A LOT other sting), the pain reduce greatly.
It didn't reduce, you just grew use to it and your body actually grew immunity to better counter the hooks and venom under your skin.

I think the lifeguards w that kid were amazing. There isn’t much u can do when a kid is screaming in pain especially bcuz he was so tired and obviously overwhelmed. Harries being able to carry the kid and none of them getting frustrated just gently pushing him to do what they kno is good and will help him. Sometimes if you accidentally touch someone’s who’s autistic arm they can have a full blown meltdown, sometimes they don’t it depends on the person. The lifeguards were pouring vinegar all over us, but some lady was telling them to put hot water on the stings. Once the paramedics got there they told us that they should’ve been using hot water the entire time lol.
I love when you guys save people when they get sting

“Worst things that can happen at the beach”
Sharks: am I a joke to you?
They said one of the worst things, which means theres a list of the worst things that could happen at bondi.
Soviet dog of course yeh sorry, I didn’t mean to cause any offence. I’m sure the currents and rips are a huge danger. Apologies.
Havanasky100 I know you didn’t but I was just letting you know, you didn’t offend me in anyway.
The best comment
Sharks are generally not man eaters but tiger, bull sharks and great whites are the most dangerous in Australia tiger sharks are basically trash cans with teeth bull sharks go into fresh water and great whites are huge
That woman had a allergic reaction to the sting. I know that breathing sound anywhere. My son has anaphylaxis allergies. As well with him being autistic, he’s never reacted to pain like that before so everyone is different. My son acts like he doesn’t feel pain.
It actually may be panic/anxiety attack. It causes same type of breathing (depending on severity and the person, of course). It closes down your throat, you're getting into more panic because you can't breathe, then start hyperventilating and it sounds the same. It can be hard to know at first what it is, that's why you need to monitor the patient for a bit, help with breathing and look for other symptoms. (I'm working in health care).
@@adrianna1608 quick question if u work on a heath care can u tell me why was the kid holding his nuts instad his leg
@@pubggaming3203 I didn't see him holding his nuts, but pulling his swimming pants up from the place where jellyfish stung him so they don't touch where it's stinging. If he would touch sore skin, it would hurt him even more, so even if he grabbed his nuts, that's better than his leg haha
Damn bro, gotta feel for you I would assume it's a pretty tough life.
@@adrianna1608 hahahahahaa i thought he held his nuts for a sec. damn man i have a dirty mind
The second one gurl was just slaying while getting stung by a blue bottle. I swear I would’ve been screaming that someone across the world could hear me 😂
I've been stung by one of these it hurt so bad, I was at the beach in Hawaii. I remember me and my sister were looking at this really cool rock and big wave comes and pushes a big jellyfish on my leg I start jumping, it then spead to my other leg and when trying to get it of I got my finger stung. So by then both legs and one hand were wrapped with the jellyfish tentacles It was so painful I felt for the 9 year old, I was in panic mode like him.

Lifeguards: Calm

I feel sorry for that boy. As a surfer, you must get it a lot but being a kid is different. I got stung when I was 9 and it hurt so much. Screaming and everything. Respect.
Then there’s me: (I was 12 though) *gets stung three times and hit (not bitten) by a shark. Never got a lifeguard. I put ice on it and went back in 😂
