Aw, that was great I love their friendship storyline. The actor who plays Marlon is a great actor .. tuff character change, and acting the part very realistically .. Paddy also came across realistic.
I wish that someone would do a Special Episode focusing on their past in flashback scenes. Mark Charnock is doing a great job showing the impact of a Stroke. Dick Clark the US Host of American Bandstand had a stroke but he was a workaholic. When he was out in Public at an Awards Show, he couldn't even stand up properly. Simon Cowell thought the world of him and rightfully so. Dick did alot for British Artists and as many of you know Bananrama were the first and only Girlband from the UK to do American Bandstand in the US and they kicked the door open for every single Girlband in the UK.
Every stroke is different depending on which part of the brain is affected. My stroke was in a very small area. I could still speak. I had not lost any movement or muscle power. I could still eat. What I did loose was a field of vision. I have no peripheral vision on my right side. I will never get it back. If I'd lost movement, speech, etc. I would have had physiotherapy to relearn all this. Physiotherapy discharged me from their service before I left hospital as I didn't actually need them. I did spend a few days on a stroke ward. The nurses there NEVER threw out visitors though as they actually helped care for their spouse / sibling / parent / friend. The old lady opposite me was visited all day Every day by her husband. He arrived to feed her breakfast, and left after feeding her dinner. He helped her choose her meals by filling in the meal form, washing her, combing her hair, reading to her.
what a bad idea for a story. i literally just skip past these parts to do with marlon when im catching up on line. iv not been watching emmerdale for long, about 6 months, and loved it initialy, but in that time it seems to have gone downhill. e.g the story of kyms son fakeing his death - hes living a few miles away in some other village - like she would never just bump into him at some point? then the ridiculous food fight scene with charity and chas - just nonsense.
These storylines are to raise awareness you seem to not like anything to do with these soaps then why do you watch them? If you think you could do a better job writing them go ahead 😭
@@davinanaylor9443 people watch these shows for intertainment. raising awarenes might be all well and good but its not neccasarily good to watch and entertaining. fair enough if something raises awarenes AND is entertaining, but watching someone recovering from a stroke is not entertaining.
