I can't get over how fast it is, it must take weeks of rehearsals with new cast members!
Cant even imagine how it is for understudies and standbys
So sweet… terrible for me being dyslexic…
Wait till u find out they have about 6 weeks to learn the WHOLE show
@@MikeyPolines I knew most shows were turned around in 12 weeks, that's fairly normal, but I'd have thought they'd have had a few extra weeks just for this 😳
@@orrono9739 Nope! For big spectacle shows like Mary Poppins, Wicked and the Lion King, they have 6 weeks. But the catch is, instead of learning the material during rehearsals, you come in on the first day ALREADY knowing the script and the score and learn other things like blocking and choreography as well as any minor changes that may need to happen. For most shows, the rehearsal process including put in rehearsals is about 4-5 weeks with an extra week for bigger technical shows
I HAVE TO LEARN THIS IN 2 HOURS WHATTT
Bruh same
Zizi out here doing the MOST singing full out every time 😂
Thank you so much for sharing this with us! I know show weeks are intense and these extras are a gift. ^_^ I especially *love* learning the choreo. As a former theatre professional, I miss the joy and exactness that is live performance. It's a great work out too! People don't always appreciate how good of shape you have to be in to do a musical 8+ times a week- and this is just a *part* of one of the numbers! You and and entire team (in front of the curtains and behind them) are absolute gems!
I've been watching numerous clips from various productions. I amazes me how effortless the dancers make it look.
I missed my calling...I landed in film instead of stage. Have always loved musicals and worked on many shot to film.
To actually perform...hats off to you...cheers me up in the midst of an upside down world. Living in the south of france I rarely have an opportunity to see a live show. Look forward to more clips in the future.
I just got jane in marry poppins this april and this is helping me so much learning thank you i love learning choreo and since we have to learn supercalifragilistucexpialidocious at home this is the biggest help ever THANK YOU
Really good, gorgeous, fantastic, a wonderful show, congratulations to all the actors, the staff and especially to the direction that allowed us all this!🎶🎶💗💗🎬🎬👏👏I love this show! ❤
I dislocated my shoulder on the 1st letter so i just sat down and watch Zizi with her hypnotic movements
That would be a cool party trick to learn☺️🙋🏼♀️
Absolutely fantastic love this show and it such a shame it has come to an end but hoping Mary poppins will come back to London and the Prince Edward theatre very very soon ❤❤
Thank you,, I'm going to practice this now
Yes!!!!! Love this so much! Thanks guys! X
That was fun!
I was ASM for a production of Mary Poppins Jr a few years ago, and we used basically this exact choreo, so I thought I would have it down... except it turns out that I learned it all with reversed directions so the kids could copy me, and now I'm just more confused lmao
That was great!
I love this!
I was just in the ensemble for Mary Poppins and we had to learn the letters to supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and I was sick for that practice so it was very fun trying to learn the letters on my own 😭😭
Los Amo ❤❤❤
I love this 💞
We are doing Poppins as our school musical and we have to to learn this dance over summer since we wont have 4 weeks to learn it when we go back to school
We are doing this for my school play. IM MARY POPPINS.Ima die

My music teacher tell my class who didn’t have the book need to dance this one
my school is doing the same dance for the production too!
The fact they put supercalafragillisticexpialidoucous in a title is smazing

Did they skip the e before the x?
Oh they are all back to front
I was forced to learn it in 3 days help 😭
😍
S and U letters are ok, but P, E are other way around? how does that work?
This is why I don't audition for or do dance shows. Oh, well. I can appreciate it.
is that dance coach dutch
I’m Michael in my schools play, I’m also forgetful.
Shouldn't they be doing the letters the other way round so the audience can read them?
Yes, I suddenly noticed for the first time the E is the wrong way round. For us.
Actually, this is the first time I understand they were doing letters wahahahaha. I always thought it was just a random dance.
I can see the E when they raise the leg of the thigh
Big,xho 0:51 😊😅
Do they know the P is back to front
ok i watched a theater show recording and it seems the whole dance is wrong. ok i'm not doing it then :D
