@1:14 chrome secret Marek will love ❤️ : sanding with aluminum foil. Take a sheet of aluminum foil (soft metal), ball it up, and rub rub rub all that hard rust will disappear it gets sanded off. I do this for all chrome and polished aluminum it’s awesome. Then use a nice billet/chrome rubbing compound for a perfect-ish chrome restorarion finish for free.

This works but only with very light rust, this is too far gone
another option: 0000 steel wool and wd40 works like magic on real chrome (will scratch aluminum and softer stuff) on the spots where the plasting isn't rusting through. I have an old 240z and it works so well
Agreed, aluminium foil and a bit of soapy water is perfect for removing surface rust on chrome

Most bumbers are just painted chrome
The real chrome is a 2 part chemical process I believe but not sure and it's probably not too cheap. Paint is easy
Sand blast it and paint it chrome and clear coat it will look like new

My dad restored a 67 Camaro and had so many of the original parts rechromed and not only was that one of the longest process of resto but it sure was not cheap 😅 painting it seems like a great idea!

Have any of you heard of galvanizing or electroplating it's actually a chemical process used to make things chrome again
I've used chrome paint and it works really well. It's also what the insides of headlights are coated with. Great thing about painting them is that they can be polished like the rest of the car.

The Lada looks SO much better without the bumper guards. Really chacnges the look of the car. Maybe you can put the number plate under the bumper, along the lip so it doesn't disturb the lines of the front end so much.
Where I live in the US we are supposed to run a front plate but they don't enforce it anywhere
I really like how nowadays videos are separated by everyone's style, I don't know how to describe it better, but there's a difference in how Sam and Marek are talking, recording and doing videos, and hearing different style music depending on who's the main character currently is pefectly filling your styles. Also I feel like colors are also a bit different but I'm not sure about it haha

Hello @NIGHTRIDE. I was wondering if you guys knew the "E30" isnt actually a E30. Unless im wrong but its a E28 as far as i know. The E30 is the 2 door variant im pretty sure. Let me know if im wrong. Another thing is im new to your channel so im trying to catch up on things and i saw the E28/E30 has a playlist but its missing lots of videos in it. If you have time i would appreciate it if the playlist got fixed/updated. Also good work on the content and cars i do enjoy watching. Dont take anything i said as hate i have nothing but love for you. Good luck on future cars/content

Yo I have a 71 datsun 240z and am going through cleaning up rusty chrome bumpers and whatnot. The way to clean up chrome bumpers is with 0000 grade steel wool and wd40 as a lubricant, it's super satisfying and takes hardly any time at all. Just need to make sure it's real chromed steel and not polished aluminum or something, since chrome is harder than the fine grade steel wool so it isn't able to scratch it in theory. You'll be amazed how much better it'll look for not much work. Not much you can do about the chrome plating peeling off from rust though other than grind/spray unless you'd do an expensive rechrome. Evening lads. I'd say without and I'd chop up the plastic bumper crap up and take the plate with the bolt on out. Weld that to the bumper so you can still bolt it on and you can get chrome paint dude, or aluminium with water and rub over the chrome.

I'm with you on the full interior. It's like moving into a house with concrete walls, steel beams, etc. Like what you see in some "modern" mansion. But to me it looks lonely and too industrial. Full interior is proper car vibes.
