Mulitalo really tried his best to carry the USA team against the Australia.
Pretty dumb that he kept kicking it on the 2nd and putting his team under pressure

yeah because NZ is a tier 1 nation, thats why englishmen and kiwis cant play origin and for their respective nations, but italians, french, png etc can

Am I the only American that thinks thisis tournament was odd?? 12 teams with 3 groups of four instead of four groups of three and a true knockout format? Like this was made for a trans tasman finals. No one really had a legit chance. I hope 2023 IRL gets it right.
What tournament has groups of 3?

Surprising how strong US started, Rugby is gaining popularity in the US….. I think Australia took them too easy in the beginning…. that’s how sunrise losses happen !

Not exactly expansive rugby… which is the point of the limited format. None of these teams would last 60 secs against Union 7s
If that were true the rugby 7's players would be getting paid millions of dollars in the NRL. If the 7's players played this format they wouldn't last 60 sec.

Why doesn’t the USA pull players from their 7s team? They can tackle and run fast?
I imagine USA Rugby has regulations against having national team players switch codes. Idk for sure but USARL doesn’t seem like they can just pull whoever they want from 7s.
