when i first saw this in a youtube video, i thought it was so cool. but after sitting on the idea, i think it's overkill, especially considering the price. the clips make you think it's going to be super productive or something, but in the end if i want to carry multiple notebooks, i really would want a case (and a bag is good enough), not a "traveler's notebook" or a "system" or anything. heard the clips get in the way, which is probably similar to the strings. i don't need extra pockets for random pieces of paper or whatever. i've settled on the kokuyo piiip pouch a5, after searching for a solution for me. i really don't need to attach notebooks together into one tome, but i also want to group them in the bag. pouch is the thing for me i think, that way i have easy access but also organization within the pouch to separate what i associate with the notebook(s) and not the other stuff in my bag. and it was important to not have zippers. personally, i have a bit of experience with hoarding, so an unnecessary amount of 'extra' pockets or reservations for X notebooks is a recipe for over engineering to me. not that this taschenbegleiter is exceptionally overengineered, but my bags already have some pockets for pens and such. and having a set number of extra notebook clips or the pockets for those clips would just bother me about "not using" it sufficiently.

I finally received an ST17 direct from Roterfaden Germany. Paid u$40 for DHL international courier service. Took over two months to reach Canada. Roterfaden claim they have no other shipping choices! My package was labelled economy and low priority! Speaks to how Roterfaden values quick service. Nice binder but I won’t be spending again on this product when Roterfaden don’t seem to be customer focused.
Not with the spine. They do sometimes rough up the pages, especially if they sit on the same pages for a long time. Not enough to be an issue for me, though.
