Berlin Alexanderplatz a very large public square and transport hub in the Mitte (city centre) district of Berlin. People in Berlin call the place, usually just Alex.
In the area around the Alexanderplatz you will find the Rotes Rathaus (Red City Hall), the Alexanderhaus, the Fernsehturm (TV Tower), the Neptune Fountain, the Hotel Park Inn Berlin, the World Time Clock, the "Haus des Lehrers" and the Berolinahaus

Recently, in the first week of September, 2017 I was in Berlin. Berlin is an awesome and a beautiful city with dedicated, hard working and very friendly people living there. After going through a number of posts and online surveys on NET, I had gathered an impression that mostly the Germans respond to those who speak to them in German language only. However, I would like to clear this myth. I had wonderful experiences with the people there. When in need, I always communicated with them in English and most of the time I received a very satisfactory response. This made my stay in Berlin too comfortable. Thanks to Berlin and the people inhabiting this place... Would definitely love to b in Berlin again very soon.
