- Santa Barbara is a city on the central California coast, with the Santa Ynez Mountains as a dramatic backdrop. Downtown, Mediterranean-style white stucco buildings with red-tile roofs reflect the city’s Spanish colonial heritage. Join me on a tour of the town and the things I love the most.

This is the perfect video to show any out of state friends who are curious about where I live. Thank you.
I've lived in Carpinteria since I was 3 years old always going to Santa Barbara. But even I didn't know about some of these places.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for your support!
All I can say about Santa Barbara California... is beautiful.
This is the best SB video I have ever seen. I want to move there, but every SB video was HEAVY on the same tourist attraction. After watching yours I get a more family vibe. Thanks
Thanks so much for your support!
It’s so weird when I see people make videos about my town
Same

Your town? It’s a public property and not by specific individual. In fact, it’s a tourist spot. If they’re v-blogging your backyard then, that really looks weird. And if it happens, call the authority.
@@recycle.mind23 what… i think ur taking my comment in the wrong way
Thanks for the video! Helped tons
That train ride sounds like a great time! Looking forward to doing it myself soon
Lived here for 5 years and went to UCSB. Best time of my life. I've been trying to get back ever since
Very cool! Thanks for sharing. I still have to check out the funk zone!
Love Santa Barbara!
The way you are speaking is just unbelievable, dude!
Thanks for the ideas!

The weather is thee best for sure! Although SB isn't what it used to be, I don't think I could ever leave it 😂
Thanks for sharing!!
Realy great video thanks a lot for the info 👍😉
Very helpful video, thank you!
Wow great information 👍 Thanks for sharing 🙏😊
I remember the Moreton Bay fig tree back in the 60s when it stood right by hwy 101 where it passed through SB. It was always mobbed with hippies hitchhiking up and down the coast. It looks lonely now.
Usually there's quite a bit of homeless who hang around the tree now.
Lovely, thank you for all of the useful information. Now I really want to go and visit.

Nice job! Fun fact: My great great great great grandfather is buried in the mission and his casa still stands a stone’s throw away.
Bro I got to hit these spots when I go ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻🔥
I've taken the train from SB all the way to San Diego!

Great Video. Thanks for sharing the knowledge. Planning a trip PCH in June and is there any routes you can suggest to see those rolling hills for some photography? Any places that we could stop for some great images? Nothing that needs strenuous hiking. Thanks
Excellent video. You hit all the spots and then some. One rarely seen/visited locale is Lotusland. But you need rsvp well in advance, and limited times they are open. Just subbed!
Thanks for your support! I tried to make it to Lotusland hopefully I can visit on my next trip to SB
Awesome work, great commentary! I’m heading that way next month this helped a lot.
@Joseph Salamanca 🙏 glad you enjoyed it! Let me know know what your favorite thing to do is.

Great video! Just subscribed.
Thanks for the sub!
Josh, you mentioned that you wanted to take a train trip to Santa Barbara. I’ll be in Santa Barbara in early January. I’ll go a train from Providence, RI and have done the cross country train trip at least a dozen times, mostly to San Diego and the Bay Area. If you want to ask me questions about train travel, feel free.
Great video :-)
Thanks for your support
Nice
thank you!!! going tmrw with my gf
Hope you enjoy the trip
Great vlog , very informative . We might be going there next week .
@1CrazyFamilia 🙏 for your support! Let me know what your favorite part of SB is
Good video , thanks for sharing , I also take landscape videos in UK , so it's very helpful , I subscribed to the channel, so I'm looking forward to it. Thank you for the good video
ive lived in santa barbara for over 30 years, i just recently moved out, yes its a nice town but....their is a problem with homeless people, the rent is so high you need to have 2 jobs or more with no time to do any of the stuff you have to do in this video without having the thought in your mind of i should be working to pay rent. its great for a visit but for one room is 1800 rent or 800 dollars a bed in a room with 3 other people in a house with 3 bedrooms all with 4 people paying 800 per bed. dont be fooled.
Sound just like Monterey county
@@jessicam522 also sounds like Seattle
😂
Just subbed. How many days did you spend there? I. Leaving tomorrow and am spending five days in Santa bar. Thank you for this video. It was perfect and I can’t wait to see many of the places you recommended. Come to Santa Monica next. That’s my home town and there are people from all over the world that travel here.
I filmed most of this in two overnight weekends. Thanks for the sub!
Check out lotus land buddy🤗
Hi, great video.
The thumbnail image from this video, where was that taken?
The Morton Bay fig tree is the largest fig tree in the continental USA and the largest fig tree in the USA is in Hawaii.
Thank you for very informative vlog. Which place would you recommend to stay while visiting Santa Barbara?
Hmmmm I normally stay with my friend so I can’t personally recommend a place I will say the area around “funk town” is v fun!
im about to have a honeymoon here and all this was so helpful!
I live there
Great video! Do you know if the wineries and breweries have extra restrictions or am
I able to do outdoor dining?
Yes, the winery’s are mostly all open with physically distanced outdoors seating. there are fewer tables so there may be a wait.
Active Tours thank you for responding! :)
Have taken the train from SB to SD and vice versa about 10 times the coastal views are Gorgeous
you missed the hidden restaurant on the ocean near hope ranch
No mention of the zoo?
You missed the most beautiful place, lotus garden.
Yes that place is lit
how do you get to the red rock pools.... ?
From SB, take highway 154 to go to the other side of Santa Ynez mountains, turn right at Paradise Rd, keep going straight on Paradise Rd (around 9 miles) to go to the end of the road. There will be a big parking lot and cars can't go any more. Follow the trail instructions to walk to the red rock (1/2 mile). You can jump into the water in summer. It's warm but unluckily there will be just a little water in summer after a long dry season. This link will bring you directly to the Santa Ynez river at Red Rock: czcams.com/video/tG2eSntWZrY/video.html
Tehachapi
You can also fight the rattlers and try to kill abby
Don’t forget surfing
No visit to Santa Barbara is complete without paying a visit to the Capwell and Lockridge families. 🤭
How safe is Santa Barbara?
I live here and it’s very calm actually, ofc stuff happens everywhere but it’s nice
Puedes traducir al español....
Yes, it's nice but not as good as Greek Islands or the Balieric Islands so if you get a chance to see them take it!!

Santa Barbara is no longer the same as it used to be
why? what are the differences ? thank you!
What's different
@@daniellerice4949 everything such as the nature
You means better now expensive less homeless
@@sukhsingh5101 tons of homeless people and overpriced for no reason
Please don't come to California or Santa Barbara, the only people who want visitors are the Business owners! And they're the small minority! Am I local? My great, great, great, great grandfather was the mayor ( acalde) in 1790 and he and his Family came to California as part of the first settlers in 1775. We're still here, and I'm 78.
😂😂 I get what you say, I came here just for a year and I have now 12 years living here I got married and settled and have 2 children 😂
Tourists stay away!!
tourists keep santa barbara alive 😐
Fuck no they make it worse for the locals tf you talking about !!
@@kinglouie805socal tourism puts in money towards the city. if there was no tourist there would be no roads, schools would be shit, and santa barbara would be a hell hole, smart one
@@ibukimiobruh7160 bullshit the tourism scene just started getting big in the past 10 years and I pay taxes for those roads lol
@@kinglouie805socal yeah because those taxes u pay from flipping burgers and complaining on the internet is whats keeping Santa Barbara afloat 🙄 GTFO
