Liberty Horsemanship Play with Nina

I never used to be able to do this with Nina. As soon as I asked her for more energy she would just disconnect and walk away.
Back in those days I would have responded by making the wrong thing hard and the right thing easy so that she would stay with me, but the playful expressive side never came through… it always felt like she was putting in minimal effort or like she had concrete blocks strapped to her hooves 🤦🏼‍♀️
It was not until I changed my mindset to one where I invite her to move with me instead of asking or commanding- inviting in a way where I am genuinely okay with if she responds with a “no thanks”.
When I finally let go of control and gave her true choice, suddenly that playful and expressive side shone through.
“Yes” means nothing if “no” is not an option 🌸💞
