In this Minecraft minigame server devlog 4 (development log four), you'll watch me, legitimoose, also known as legitermoose, make a vanilla shader from scratch and learn glsl. Inspired by the gamedev chads such as Randy, Mythic Legion, Dani, and Codeer. love me some greenscreen game design videos. Also kind of inspired by those "Creating Hypixel for Free" or "Recreating hypixel" videos. I'm goin' for more of a mineclub/origin realms vibe though ;). I've had to learn Kotlin (aka good java), and get real good at the spigot api and bukkit plugin development. In this video I show some progress (water shader, chicken circle, pink shader) and that's it. 3 seconds of evil bedwars clips and then a bunch of glsl shader trial and error, to create my own minecraft shaders. ~Metadata Soupsmith - Hry

I’ve been trying to figure out how to make shaders so I could make the game look more spooky for a data pack I wanna make, but everytime I try to search up “Minecraft graphics adjustments” it only comes up with shader mod showcases for the same 10ish mods I’ve already seen before (nothing wrong with those mods of course, just not what I’m looking for). Again, thank you!!
:D I wish there was more talk about minecraft's core shaders! It's pretty hard to get into if you're not already an experienced shader developer. I'm so glad they added this stuff though, since it's finally made _me_ go and learn glsl and shaders in general.

do you think it's possible to create a shader than can explicitly be turned on and off using coding, or more realistically, witchcraft? i've been desperately trying to accomplish this but my feeble and inferior non-moose brain can't handle this sort of math. i'd love it where a player in my map experiences a shader only at a specific time without them having to manually enable/disable the resourcepack

Make a Zombie Minigame : 5v5 PvP One Team Zombie the other survivor when a survivor dies he become a zombie survivors can craft antidotes to cure they're teamates (Also add Guns) When a player is zombified apply a shader that look like the creeper vision
I loved the video, since yesterday I started modifying Minecraft pocket edition and today I was modifying some shaders things, until I got to some things that were kind of pathetic with what happened In the video maybe the part where you start to code will help me with some things.

how/where did you learn how to code these? I've found a few things about how to code glsl, but idk how useful that even is if I try to translate it to minecraft.
it's very useful, learn glsl (just the basics), then you'll be able to understand other people's code by reading it. there's a pinned list with a few resources in the main channel of my discord too!
