Great video guys! 👍 I am glad that you liked our food, just one small correction, "Štrukli" are not from Slavonia they come from a region in northern Croatia called Zagorje!
Oh and Lieles pronunciation of “Mlinci” made me laugh to tears! 😂😂😂
I hope we will see you in Croatia again soon.
Stay safe and healthy and keep enjoying life!
Živjeli 🍺😁
Thank you so much for the correction. We will pin your comment so people can see it.
We def have issues with our pronunciation hahaha
We truly hope we can go back and enjoy the islands and the north part of the country.

Croatian food is great. The food is sometimes/often rich in calories. Especially in the North of Croatia. That's why we Croatian people do so much sports. We love food and sport 🇭🇷😄
Soooo delicious!!! We loved it, especially the northern flavors. I need to get my husband to walk more to kill those calories.
You guys have me excited to eat my way through Croatia!!! Its crazy how you've opened my eyes to trying foods I never thought I could be listening how you guys explain your experience I am now open!
That is sooo awesome! Thank you guys!
See? That is why I force Lieles... I mean I introduce Lieles to new foods, so we can share that experience and help others to, at least be curious about new food.
Thanks for this wonderful video compiling d delicious traditional food in Croatia.
Our pleasure! You know we love to eat! and share with you all our experience
Omg yum ALL THE RISOTTO!!! 😍😍
Soooo good!! It makes me want to get on the sofa and eat it while watching a movie
It is my comfort food lol
Wow strukli look freaking delicious! So creamy& cheesy!
It was delish, even Lieles ended liking it and he does not like cheese, he says the only two cheeses eligible for his taste is manchego and the burger slice cheese 🙄🙄
Can you believe it?
Beautiful! I'm ready to visit this area now! Fantastic food finds!
Have fun when you go, where are you know?
The Dalmatian Prosciutto got me intrigued.
It is indeed a Croatian delicacy that we must try!
Thanks for introducing it to us 👍
Our pleasure! Croatian food is really good
I agree.. Croatia is so diverse. Loving the views from the clouds
Soo beautiful and diverse indeed
Great content!
Thank you!
That strukli looks and sounds amazing and those sardines had my mouth watering!
So so good!! Happy you came to watch this one! Hope we didn't make you too hungry!
Your video is so good! My friends and I love it! Thank you!

Wow wow wow, such a great selection of food, great you could share such a varied choice of meals!

Thanks guys, another enjoyable video, catch you on the next 😎👍💕
Thank you so much Elaine and Simon!
Kulen is the clover shaped cold cut, really good.
Food in Croatia was def great
You definitely made us hungry. The food looks amazing in Croatia. LOL I love that Lieles reacted more to the tangy pepper vs the hot pepper.
Glad you enjoyed! Yes the tanginess was kinda too much!! lol
Nice selection
Thanks 😊
Niceeeeeeee
Thank you!
Bread olive oil with sardine, im happy 🤤

It was the best Turkey we ever had for real
LOL that pepper/pickle attacked Lieles at the end 🤣
hahaha the pickled pepper attacked him hahahah hilarious
Ouf! Thank god I've already had dinner and I'm full. All those meats look amazing!
We gained tons of weight in Croatia. We mostly ate outside during our stay there
The stomachs and the pockets felt it
I am hungry now 😋👏
😋
Ohh que hambre! Todo tenía una pinta buenísima! Me entraron ganas de probar esa comida rica y de conocer el país! Thank you! 😚
Gracias Chelito, así estamos de gordos jajaja
Oye, preguntita, el audio del vídeo estaba bien o has tenido problemas oyendonos. Alguien nos ha dejado un mensaje al respecto y queremos asegurarnos que no es un problema del vídeo
Gracias guapa!
The walking/eating Lieles challenge cracks me up. Never gets old - his reaction comes in handy. You guys hit so much while you were there.
We ate a lot! And we went to so many places. Sadly we didn't get to the islands, but hopefully in the next two years
Oooo prosciutto!! Y’all are making me crave meat right now LOL
Prosciutto is great but we do love Spanish ham, especially the one called "bellota", if you have the chance, try it
Haha always refreshing to see Lieles eating food he likes 😂😂
hahaha he is a picky eater, but he has been learning to love more foods .. so proud of him
NICE VIDEO¡¡
Thank you! Cheers!
That custard pudding looked like the perfect ending and a beautiful dessert. We were cracking up at the end with Maria.. spinning and spinning.. We would be so dizzy and falling on the floor LOL!! Thanks for taking us along and we hope you guys are doing well and staying safe!! Love you guys to the mother effin' moon!!
So good! Thanks girls for going with us on our travels and food ingestions lol

Really Quality channel I liked it
Thank you so much for the kind words, very encouraging 😊 Perfect way to start our Sunday
I love cevabi, seeing it gets me excited. Love the food shots, helps me linger them thorough while you are describing the taste hehehe
Cevapi is sooo good. We love meat. Thanks guys! Happy you liked the shoots
Spain is beautiful.. looking forward to more 😁
Thanks guys. Very excited to show you more of it
Octopus salad was crazy. You guys ate so many unique food. This was a great wrap up for your trip. Excited to see your Spain series.
Thank you Carl! We wanted to add some other foods that we didn't share before like the Kulen and the oily fish so it was really nice to get them all together.
Thank you!
Peka!!! The way its cooked got me interested!!!
It is sooo unique, right? We loved it
HAHA OMG THE PLANT 😂😂😂 but the octopus salad does look amazing & light & fresh!!
So good!
Nice wrap up of your recent travels and food adventures! Now Mamuchos Out to Spain! Y olé!
A atacar el jamón!
So many great foods guys, we love to visit Croatia too!!
You would love this country. It is awesome
Gastronomy in croatia mediteran food ist just awsome ...i am a croat livin in germany so i know 😅
Hi Car Kralj!
Absolutely agree
I (Maria) am from Spain and love Mediterranean food!
Hope you are good in Germany! Stay safe and thanks for watching us
Where in Croatia are you from?
That dried cured ham, looked amazing. We can imagine eating that on some fresh bread. It was sliced so thin. It's too funny how the octopus salad was served in that pot with the plant. We would be confused as well LOL! The mixed meat plate with the fries looked amazing, as it's hard to go wrong with meat and fries!
Agree, meat and fries, you can't go wrong lol.
Yes the cured hams with bread is def a piece of heaven.
hahaha that octopus salad will be forever remembered lol
Very informative and interesting video! And you guys done it great with the pronunciation of several types of food! 👍👍👍
Thank you so much! We tried our best with our pronunciation but we made a few mistakes through our Croatia series.
Thank you for watching us!
Are you from Croatia?
@@TheMamuchos
Yes, I live in Croatia but not in the coastal regions or in Zagreb although I often travel there! I'm from Slavonia (not to be confused with the country of SlOvenia!), not so touristy eastern region of the Croatia that is also very interesting, with lot of great places, rich cultural heritage, amazing local cuisine, great vines and even greater people!
If you come by next time I can strongly recommend you some local destinations like:
City of Osijek with baruque era old town and fort, Đakovo with beautiful cathedral and other attractions, medieval town of Ilok with amazing citadel overlooking mighty Danube river, Vukovar -town of great historical importance with several great local museums and memorial places, Slavonski Brod with the remains of the large baroque star shaped fort and Franciscan monastery, beautiful Požega, two nature parks, amazing and preserved traditional villages in parts of neighboring region of Baranja...
In fact there are also so many continental parts of country with amazing places of tourist interest because Croatia isn't only it's coastal parts and beaches!
Best regards!
That's amazing! Yes we are aware of the Slavonian region and we are going back to visit that area and the Istrian region.
I think we will find more local life in the Slavonian region which is the main reason we wanna go back and why we love to travel
We prefer less touristic places, but we visit them every now and then like we did in Croatia this year.
Thank you so much for this reccomendations 😊
Cheers
It was so great to see all the beautiful dishes you got on the journey in Croatia. The risotto looked amazing, and cool they had so many choices of different kinds there. Butters would have loved the sardine dish, as she grew up eating Sardines.. Bears not so much. The Peka dish looks so flavorful and we would definitely want that roast turkey meal. We cannot wait for Turkey dinner on Thanksgiving now!! LOLOL
Food in Croatia is def delish and one of a kind.
Maria also grew up eating all type of fish, raw, in oil, curated, smoked and cooked lol.
We don't usually eat Turkey in the US, we think it is too dry, but we need to try Bears and Butters' turkey one day! lol
@@TheMamuchos Hell yes!! We will cook up a feast if you are ever in LA!! :)
@@bearsandbutters 😍😍😍
Like how you highlighted a diverse selection of Croatian foods from the lamb to seafood to cheese and the mixed meats. Great stuff!
Thank you Greg and Jumi! We are not as good as you guys are with food, but we learn from you with every video, even when I dont remember utak utak 🙄🙄🙄
We hope we get people excited to learn more about Croatian food and get to try it. 😊
Damn that truffle risotto, roasted turkey, cheeeese and the oily fish
Yes Croatian food was a complete delight!
You guys want to come to Spain? Let us know what you would like to see in our videos, we didn't think many people would want to see Spain, so initially we weren't even planning to record here.
Love this sum up of your stay in Croatia! Looking forward to watching your travels in Spain. We haven't been there much so we've been planning to go on a road trip there one day 😀
We will try to show you as much as we can with this Covid situation.
Thank you guys 😙
I can give you god ideas man there are so much mantises and croatian cokroaches you can see its soo god food pls go in a resturant and say cevapcici thats realllllllllyyyyyyyyy goooooooodddddddd fooooooooooodddddddd ittttttttrsssssssssss ddeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelioooooooccciiiuuuuusssss
We have really enjoyed your Croatia video. It's one of the places we really want to go. We're all over those risottos.
Croatia is such a beautiful country, a bit touristic but one of those that you must visit
We looove it
Looking back at all those dishes you ate makes me so hungry 😋 I really hope that Aaron and I can visit corotia in the near future
Yes, we hope so too, we know you will love it
1. Not liking the flavor but still accepting it- great way of learning
2. Giving a try to all the regions
3. Giving a try to traditional and (today) common dishes
I mean this is the best, the most balanced and most fair food review I saw about Croatian food.
But hush, there are stories to be told, stories that would make your stomach grow in decadence and stories that would make your stomach curl: there are wine soups, there are dormouse recipes, there are Roman gravies made out of sundried sweetwater fish guts, there are vinegar and salt based fish and vegetable recipes that made great empires survive harsh winters, there are soups made out of stone, there are sweetwater fish and ground paprika goulashes people committed suicides over(when they didn't nail down the recipe), there are almost extinct beef (boskarin) goulashes, there are (other almost extinct ibex- muflon) stews you need to earn by swimming 6km marathon- once a year, there are the best truffles in the world... there is a lot! I have just started.
Wow!!! thank you so much for your comment! For the compliments but also for that perspectives of the stories behind food, you are absolutely right!
THANK YOU for this!
Yummm risotto, i remember that🙌🏻 can't miss it at all
So good, we had so many risottos while in Croatia, we could have made a video about all the Risotto we ate in Croatia hahahah
Risottos looks good, we love truffles! and so curious on that black one too, remind us of a black ramen.
we havent tried black ramen yet ! But one day!
The black risoto is mabe with ink of squid or an octopus and its soo good
Yes it is
Hvala danke thanks you
Hvala !
haha "Thank you cheese!" finally first time from Lieles...lol
for once he was thankful for cheese lol
LOLLLL great start again! ooooooo very nice drone shots! I really love the water shot! hahha "tricked me" sounds so interesting the sardine bread. Yummmm Peka! We love to enjoy prosciutto, jamon and chorizos plate with cheese. Be interesting to try croatian prosciutto. hahaha Lieles totally confused at the end but that reaction to the pickle pepper 😂😂😂
The food is so delish! How long where you guys here in Croatia when you came? Did you try anything else?
Lieles reactions are so priceless. 😂 Always get the beer. A month is not enough in a beautiful place like that. We thought that a month is Durango, Co was going to be a lot but it really wasn't.
Yes a month flies away like crazy.
We also travel a lot in Croatia so it made that month fly even faster lol
Durango looks sooo cool, love everything you have shown us from there
Mmmmh yes that risotto love it! Omg what is that Oily fish, looks amazing!! Looks so pretty! Lol Lieles reaction is like a rollercoaster haha but glad he likes it!
You know him, he doesnt shy away from sharing his feelings lol
Hey Maria and Lieles!! First part of the video Lieles is eating cheese and making faces LOL!! You know this one is going to be good!! Especially when Maria is laughing in the background! LOLOL
hahaha yes, hope you girls enjoyed it! hahaha
Loved seeing all your beautiful drone shots in Croatia. Absolutely stunning and without a drone you could never get that kind of shot. How long did it take Lieles to learn how to pilot it?? We really don't know much about them, except if they crash you've lost a crap ton of money LOLOLOL!!
He was born a natural. We got our first drone in March 2018 I believe and we went to a park in Queens NY and from the first moment Lieles was flying that thing like if he had done it for years lol. Of course, it took some time and practice for him to get better. On the other hand, Maria still has nightmares every time that drone takes a flight lol
By the way there is a video of the first flight Lieles did on our channel. In case you wanna bored yourself with our old videos lol
So much good food ! The restaurant was on the pavement ? I remember that plant like dish 🌱 lol. I enjoyed your series of videos. Can’t wait for Spain ! I love this country.
Thank you! I love when I hear people saying they love Spain.
What restaurant? Like the one we talk from? It was on a regular street hahah
I totally want to try Peka, looks super good and so traditional
soooo traditional, and perfect for a cold day inside by the fire. That is all I kept thinking can you imagine this meal in a small cabin with friends, wine and rain outside?
I am such a food romantic lol
Thank You 4 promoting my country! Wish You lots of health! Come back soon.
Thank you so much! Croatia is amazing. We hope to go back and visit the slavonian region
@@TheMamuchos , you'll like it very much. And don't forget Istra (Istria), home of truffles. Beautiful places with great dishes.
Yes istria is pending too. Thanks for watching us and for your support
Seems like Maria got dizzy swirling around hahaha awww!
Oh yes I did hahahah
Look forward to watching your video in Turok, Malaga, South of Spain.
Is Turok d same place as u been in Torrox?
Very soon!
Yes Torrox, sorry it sounded different in the video 😊
wow nice good friend!!!
oh good video>!< so good! new!
Thanks for visiting
Always love cevapi!
soooo freaking goooooodddd
Meat meat and more meat 😆🙌🏻 and yessss to dessert
you can't go wrong lol
I am really happy you like the food from my homeland
Loved it! From what region of Croatia are you from?
@@TheMamuchos Hallo zusammen, Deutschland lieb Kroatien, wunderschöne Zeit 💝🍀⚓
1:02 Love the street! Who's that beautiful lady walking down the lovely street! 😍
Was that me?? hahaha ☺☺ you are making me blush hahaha
The roasted turkey is the one that I wanted to try the most.
Your description makes us want to try it so bad, looks so yummy.
Agree that it is like a Christmas meal 👍
It's so good! Hope you guys get to try it, we know you would love that one for sure
"Don't forget the bacon! BACON!" LOL haha
Bacoooooon
You guys really got to explore a lot of Croatia in a month
We did and yet we feel like we didn't. The north region and the islands are pending for us. But we need to come with bigger wallets so, Croatia will be in our future travels but not near future unfortunately 🥺
Cant wait for Spainnnn🥳
Sooo happy to hear this, we weren't going to do much content in Spain, but people seem to be excited for it 😄
Pickled pepper, hmmm that sounds interesting!
Does it taste like pickled cucumber?
Haha watching Lieles eating it 😂
It does but spicy a bit too. Not numbing spicy but tangy and spicy together
Starting off with a classic Lieles food reaction 😂😂
It can't be missed hahahaha
I take that mixed meats plate!! Load it up with the bacon!! Wow so many different types of varieties of food !!
Yes so many options!
Strukli looks soooo custardy, cheesy, mmmmhh! Awwwh that Roasted turkey, fatty goodness! I don't think I can wait until christmas to eat that haha! Slavonian Kulen looks like a cheese and ham platter, I can have it all to myself!
Agree, that Kulen was sooo good and different from other cold cuts
One of the few things I like about my country is how diverse it is. You'll find very different kinds of food in Zagreb, Vukovar, Gospić and Split. But it's always really good.
We loved our time in Croatia, but of course we were traveling.
Do you live there? Food is incredible indeed! 😋😋
@@TheMamuchos yes, I'm from Zagreb, and I'm glad you liked it ^^
Zagreb was my favorite i have to say, my husband fell in love with Dubrovnik
Never had sardines served that way on bread. I’m with Lieles, I eat things and have no idea what is called. Can’t go wrong with Bacon. Going to BaconFest was one of my favorite trips.
Baconfest sounds like a dream
Yes sardines and anchovies are typically curated and made with oil along the Adriatic and Mediterranean countries. We have then in Spain too but we don't put them on bread like that though. We will show you I'm upcoming videos ☺️
Lol I like how Lieles uses beer to wash his palate.
Then he says he doesn't drink lol
Oyster infested? Sounds like my sort of place 😜
The risotto looks amazing!
I'm trying to get a taste for sardines, so maybe Croatia is the place to do that 😋
Oysters are soooo gooood!!!
Where are you guys located? Are you traveling now? Croatia is def a great place to try delish food
Yes to cevapi... In any country! Nabol says Maria twirls in videos like me. Hahaha 😂 You guys ALWAYS make us hungry... Well, depending on what Maria has on schedule that day. 😝
Hahaha twirl twins
Hahahaha
You can never trust me with food, I guess that's the expectation after all my tricks lol
Lieles facial reactions should become a meme :D
That is what Nick says from Nick and Helmi hahaha
Haha lieles facial reaction to food doesn't suit him is priceless!
hahaha he is so picky hahah
Damn those sardines look great.
They were delish! Still think about them, hopefully we have them again soon ❤️❤️
Would love to try the lamb Peka one day!
This is what I envision:
All of us, in a cabin, raining outside, the fireplace on, someone cooking Peka (not us, an expert lol) with enough wine for everyone and talking and laughing all day long.
If we could only!!! Miss you guys
Come back in non Covid times, the atmosphere is sooooo good and visit islands like Hvar, Brac, Vis, Korcula, Murter, Losinj. Also places like Sibenik, Zadar, Rovinj , Trogir are not to be missed
Yes we have to be back and do the islands and the north part of the country.
Thank you
We drove by Trogir and really loved it.
when you next visit Croatia you should try more food from Slavonija region like Čobanac (meat stew prepared in a cauldron over open fire) and Fiš (Slavonian fish stew prepared like Čobanac but using river fish), both are spicy , made with hot paprika powder usually from Baranja region
Yes we would love to try all those. We barely tried anything from that region or even the Istrian region. We hope to do a road trip around the north part of the country. Maybe during a colder month too
Thanks for the recommendations
Not sure about the oily fish. Hahaha That pasta though..... Heck yes! Oh the peka! Yes, sign us up too!
Peka!!! We need to go back and try more ingredients in the Peka like the octopus or the bread.
Oily fish is delish.
We have them here in Spain too, we will show you
Wait, how is the octopus salad a plant? I can understand the one served on the plate haha!! That looks delicious!! So fancy! Awwwh that mix meat platter yums!!
It was so good!
I loved that your Wife? Mentioned Slavoniju and our Kulen at 5:10. greetings. and the pronouncing of miješano meso - mi-ye-shano meso. Sounds japanies :D
Thank you so much!!! In love with Croatian food!!!
Kulen is really good, tastes delicious on a pizza, if you're ever gonna order a pizza here, order "Slavonska pizza" it also comes with ajvar, but if you didn't try ajvar before, I suggest you order it without it. Greets from Croatia
Thank you so much! Lieles loves Ajvar, and I have an allergic reaction to peppers so I can't eat it, but love how it smells. Thanks for the advice, we should be back in Croatia by September. Hope we get to try it!
@@TheMamuchos Sure, also put some sour cream on it, its also very good
@@matary3631 like kajmak? 🤤🤤
Black risotto with calamari is also a traditional dalmatijan dish u should really try
We would love to eat black risotto with calamari again. We went all the way down to Dubrovnik and ate it there too. Do you suggest any specific town?
Abarcaron bastante de la comida crota pero lo que falta es Maria disfrutando vino tinto y un tipo de vino dulce de aperitivo muy típico que se llama prošek (no es proseco!!) Can't wait for Spain guys💓💓
Lo probamos, pero no lo grabamos 😭😭😭
Está muy bueno
Gracias Masa!!
Un abrazo!!!
@@TheMamuchos Una razón más para volver, siempre es bueno dejar de hacer algo😉💓💓
Oh yes give me all that fish you counted ;)
fish is soooo delish delish!!
I'll just do a bite 😆😆😆 thank you cheese haha
For once, he liked the cheese hahaha
Next time you must try Janjetina s ražnja and Basa i pole... Thats best to eat and Plitvice...
That looks delicious, we are taking notes for our next trip!
Hahaha Lieles is still confused about the way the octopus salad was served like a plant 😂
Don't worry, us too! haha lucky it tastes delicious despite the confusing presentation 😬
It was really good, but def a different presentation.
You must taste Sarma next time. In the winter is the best time.
We had it in Serbia, but def want to get back to Croatia and try winter dishes like sarma.
Thank you so much!!
I am a Croat and I am glad that you like our food and our country. There are more videos on CZcams where Americans and other visitors talk about Croatia and food here... but, there is always a but.
I have noticed in you, but also in others, that you do not eat food as you should.
The rule of thumb says that each bite should be chewed up to 32 times (depending on how hard the food is). Eat slowly and not very hot or very cold food (taste is lost) .This way you can feel the taste of food better, because the taste is felt in the mouth and the greater the pleasure of consuming the same, (if you like that food), but the biggest gain is for your stomach, because with well-chewed food it does not bother with digestion, ie. it is easier to digest food.
Avoid just swallowing food like a crocodile. ;-))
You will see that this advice is not with malicious intent.
I’ve been chewing food for 70 years so I know something about it. :-))
Thank you for the advice, I (Maria) am from Spain and I usually take much longer to eat my food compared to my husband. Yes, totally understand where you coming from. But if we chew food 32 times on camera, most people might want to strangle us hahahah
Thanks for the advice, it is taken with love 😊
@@TheMamuchos Thanks for understanding, my comment was in good will.
Of course! We appreciate you! 😊😊
Eating turkey is also traditional in some households in Turkey during the New Years eve (not Christmas) :)
We didn't try turkey over there, that is another reason to go back I guess hahaha
@@TheMamuchos Hahah we really dont have any special dish with turkey, its just a new years food. But you should come back regardless!!
@@TravelInteresante Copy! We should know the answer to that today
In croatia its popular meat and some cheese and vrhnje over it and it roasted
Love it!!!
