    Just got my very 1st flat after 1500 miles on this bike. I came right to this video. I remember watching it when I first got the D-Class. Wish me luck 🙂

    Great video. Saved this awhile back just before I received my Ariel D Class, just in case I got a flat. Wouldn't you know it... today is the day it happened. It was a good feeling knowing that I had this video available as a guide. Thanks so much. Keep thsese videos coming.

    enjoyed the video Shinko makes 2 tires that fit these bikes 244 and 241 size 3.00-16 it's a motorcycle tire yes it's heavier if you replace both you will add 3lbs to the bike they are $20 cheaper than the Kenda 20x4 so right off you save $40 on a pair way thicker and less prone to flats I also use heavy duty tubes and Rideon tire sealer and balancer also put talc powder or baby powder in tire it helps the tube find a happy place plus inflate and deflate 3 times to seat tube thanks your videos are well done hope to see more

    What you need to do is. Put a tire tube protector on the wheels, to prolong the life of both tubes. And for extra protection for both tubes. Put tire liners in between the tire and the tube. And good tire liners are made by Slime.
    Fill the tire tube a bit with air. Then when the liners are tucked in between both tires. Fill up the air in the tires all the way. And remount both tires on the bike. Mind you I did this all by myself, in my house. During the month of December, in Sheepshead Bay - Brooklyn, New York, between Christmas and New Years.
    And the electric air fillers are great. They save a lot of time and patience in filling air in the tubes. I have one made by HUSKY. That`s what I did for my bike. I have an ADDMOTOR M - 60 R7. But you`re doing well so far.

      Thanks Craig! I got a flat on my e bike riding from Queens to Manhattan a few hours ago, had a blow out and was stranded. I only got my bike yesterday and wasn’t expecting a flat. Will try your tips when I replace the tube and hope to be more prepared next time it happens

    What I'm searching for is a flat fix on a mid drive, but with minimal tools beside the road. My Enviolo Hub requires a 15m box wrench

      That. I don't know about. I suggest. Take it to a bike shop that sells and repairs electric bikes, as well.

    What size of socket please?

  • @fuqdup91
    @fuqdup91 Před 2 lety

    Thanks for the great video! Sorry I'm a little late to the party but it's worth noting that some cheaper bikes actually don't have plugs to disconnect the electronics!! I quickly closed the browser window and can't remember the make/model of the one I saw, but it made it so that so you could only remove the tire from the brake side requiring the removal of the mechanical disc brake cable. With so many crazy designs out there I wonder if any of the engineers who design but never ride bikes even considered roadside repairs leaving people to remove, replace, and bleed hydraulic brakes on the go!! People really have to do their homework before dropping big $$ on something that looks cool but brings major headaches.
    Also, it's pretty sh*#ty that a company like Kenda can cost you close to $100 for a bicycle tire and get taken down by a thorn you can barely see. Since the Grizzly and other heavyweight bikes can carry the weight of dual motor/batteries it absolutely makes sense to spend a little more to purchase true motorcycle tires which can withstand much harsher treatment.

    • @inGearAdventure
      @inGearAdventure  Před 2 lety

      Yeah definitely something to look for when making a purchase! ! And agreed, it's certainly a bummer to have a ride cut short by a little bit of natural debris. Luckily we've had no other tire issues since we posted this video 🙌🏼

      Amazon! Just be sure it matches your tire size (typically 4x20 or 2x20 on small fat tire ebikes).
