    Crash test dummies representing an average-sized adult male and a small-sized adult female are placed in the driver and front passenger seats, respectively, and are secured with seat belts. Vehicles are crashed into a fixed barrier at 35 mph (56.3km/h), which is equivalent to a head-on collision between two similar vehicles each moving at 35 mph.

    I don't trust the passengers side airbag. It looks like a air bag to deploy and another to catch your face. By time that all inflated, it looked like the dummy still hit its head on the dash. I would luv to see the accelerometer readings. At least ford figured out how to keep the passenger compartment intact. At 35 mph you can tell the truck is a total loss. The bend in the frame rails cannot be straighten and the drive train moved back enough to bend both axle tubes.

      +***Classified*** where do they get these vehicles from are they like just randomly selected by the manufacturer

      Joel Dale If they run their show like the IIHS does, then each car is randomly selected from a dealership. NHTSA might be different where the manufacturer sends them the data, but I'm not sure. I do know that even cars tested in minor accidents are scrapped, and there's a VIN list online somewhere that shows all the cars that they've tested.
